it goes both ways. Both OG and Korean version fans have some immature kids being overdramatic and overprotective of the version they like more.

Both creating fake accounts to give 1s AND 10s is dumb. Saying people should not compare Korean version to original as a reply to hate/criticism while also starting comments with: the Taiwanese version looks cheap and I could not even finish 3 episode, Korean version is better - also comparing. Honestly this comment section is exhausting and so hard to find actual proper information of the drama itself. It's hard to decide if I want to watch the show when both sides are overexaggerating their claims 🤣

That's debatable 😅 While I love Jeon Yeo Been, the idea of her playing a high school is a bit ridiculous to me. And while I have no issues with Ahn Hyo Seop's acting, he also never truly impressed me either.

I'm slightly bored with the "perfect" high quality production from Korean shows, coz it often feels a bit... soulless to me. I feel like most k-dramas from the production standpoint do not stand out at all - they are all well made, but there is no uniqueness in them. That's why higher production value is not exactly a selling point for me anymore (but it was at some point in my life 🤣)

I think I will go back to make decision whenever I want to watch it or not in a year, when the OG version is not so fresh in my memory

But if only thing that it improves from original is the production value, then... it's not enough for me. Especially since i actually liked the less mainstream vibe the original had since it fits the story. I'm still hesitant if i should put it on ptw or not. I'm for sure not watching it this year since i finished the original not long time ago, still too fresh in my memory, but I'm thinking about watching at some point. Here's the thing tho, i think there are 3 types of justified remakes:
1. original is outdated coz it was made many years ago
2. Taking the essence of the original, but adding enough new tweaks to make it its own project
3. Following original as closely as possible, but making it better (this happens with smaller productions, or indie projects etc.)

But from comments I kind of see that... this drama fits none of the categories. So I'm not sure i should watch it just to get disappointed by the end 😭

I'm rewatching the show and I remember there were quite a few people who said everyone judged Jang Hyun and said he was playboy when it was just a rumor, and that even viewers only had the rumor going on, but the dude literally in episode one names all the different type of women he dated 🤣 And then he got annoyed Gil Chae judged him based on the rumors, but bish, the rumors WERE TRUE 🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡

Each episode we have 2 cast members as the guests. It shows footage of their dates abd meet ups etc after the show ended and also them watching the episode themselves

Not gonna lie, this question is motivated by all the thoughts connected to this by xinya. Personally I did not give that much thought into the dream. Gil Chae believes in one true love and she will have to face many setbacks and hardships before she can be with the man (the way she followed the red strong of fate and it led her to him). That's it. It can kind of hint the happy ending for the couple. I'm curious if anyone has more insightful look into it, because I'm not really good with metaphorical analysis lol For me it's was just - "looks pretty" type of depth 🤡
