Big name means fame.
Experience means better skills.
I'm also curious where is the line. How many years of experience is fine? How big of an existing fanbase is fine?
a. his fame/already having fans
b. his experience
c. combination of both?
Would it be okay if he had 8 years of experience, but not a big fanbase?
Or if he had a big fanbase, but not much experience?
How much fame and experience is too much?
Where is the line when the person should not be part of the show?
There are already debuted idols in both K and G teams, so now the question is - when it's okay for someone who already debuted to be part, and when it's not?
π₯ π½πͺπ§π£ ππ© ππ₯
I preferred K? I guess. Barely? They had better main vocal. Both teams had one decent rapper and one not so much lol I don't get tho why in both teams they picked weak vocalists for Killing Part, when in this song Killing Part was so vocally based lol Tho Team G did WAY BETTER during the bridge/dance break. But still... I'm weak for good vocals and K had far better main one...
β οΈ πΏππ£πππ§
I feel so bad for Chen Yu Geng. Dude ended up with team that has zero basic skills π₯² Also the dude who wanted to be main vocal when he literally cannot hit the notes... dude. don't argue, go practice.
Im Han Byul be like: λμμ§ μμ
Me screaming at my laptop: HOW IS THIS "λμμ§ μμ? ?!?!?!?!?
Da Eul is so selfish I cannot lol It's one thing to either mess up your lines, but deliver the dance, or to mess up the dance but deliver your lines, but he did neither. 3 days in training lol But he like: nah I'm keeping that part. If I don't get that part, there is not point in picking you guys - this just pissed me off sooooooooooo much.
Both Danger teams did bad, I don't even want to pick hahaha Min Hyeok did the overall. Seunghwan had good presence, but his rapping was lacking. I think the bias in audience is the most obvious in this voting. I don't care about anything, but I Chan winning even by 2 votes is just a joke π
πͺπ½πππ πΏπ€π€π§
I feel bad for Yu Jin, because he is good, he is just slow learner... π₯²
Kim Ji Woong had ONE line and went: screwed it, I need to show abs π
Overall, K team did REALLY well with Back Door ππ»
You need to bring Jun Liu to put Krystian in place lol Like he honestly does not have that much confidence in himself that's why he obsesses over killing part. because he thinks that's the only way for him to shine in the performance. They basically have the same issue Danger team had with Da Eul.
Also, I think the practice here clearly show all the shit in previous episode with Kamden being bullied was just evil editing. Why the fuck would the out of the blue now started to be more nice and actually aside with Kamden and not Krystian hahaha i feel bad for Kamden that he has to deal with Krystian, but Kamden also ain't a leader material. I saw what a good leader can do with Krystian π€£
Yeah team K did better with Back Door. I think both teams had a strong performers for killing parts tho.
Kim Ji Woong getting that many votes is a joke. Here's the thing - dude is good. This was not a good performance from him, especially compared to his team members lol But then... we saw the reaction the audience had when he showed the abs, some people have different priorities about what idols are supposed to do on stage I guess Β―\_(γ)_/Β―
π₯ππ€π© πππͺππ
was a disaster for both teams Β―\_(γ)_/Β― Ollie did well stage presence wise, and the guy who rapped first did well. But it was not the "ready to debut" standard. Honestly from both teams Park Han Bin was the only one that truly aced and delivered both vocals and dance well. Also Ji Hoo... but I'm also curious if he would also do this well without the support, like how much is it him and how much it depends on the environment and how much others support him in the role.
Also, mnet did so well with editing out all the awful moments of k groups hot sauce I cannot stop laughing. they managed to make it look decent in the episode π
PARK HAN BIN IS SUCH A TALENTED GUY PLEASE LOVE HIM! Such a perfect leader, he is strict and works their asses off BUT he also works his ass off. Like they checked each other individually, but he danced with everyone as a comparison. I LOVE HIM SO MUCH. He is my no 1 pick since episode 1 πππ Hui being excited about Han Bin, yes ma dude can recognize talent!
YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAS MY BOI HAN BIN GETTING THE RECOGNITION HE DESERVES OMG ππππ Also don't call me hypocrite. I have no issue with idols showing abs to gain recognition BUT I do have issue with someone giving up their vocal performance to show abs. That's why I was annoyed with Ji Woong and had no issue with Han Bin.
π ππ€π«π ππ πππππ©
As much as I think Sung Han Bin aced the killing part, overall team G did better. The song just fits their vibe a lot more and it was more fun and refreshing to watch their Love Me Right performance. As for Hui's ad libs - his raspy lower ones were better than the extra high notes. And it's not about his condition. I think overall he has hella charming voice for the more mid to high rock vibes, rather than pop hella high.
Overall, I'm just happy Park Han Bin got so much love this ep π₯°
I just hope it won't end up being painfully shallow. Coz this can be either great or pretentiously bad. I hope for the great.
There is so much pink tones in it, but I love it. Also a lot of shots with the characters being cut, and the 60% and more of the top view being just the background, not centered around the character. It kinds of gives me the vibe that they are not grounded yet, they are just existing as a small part of what surrounds them.
Anyway, I really like Kim Young Kwang.
Alan did best he could in the shitty situation he is in (especially since whatever hope he might have had to still be with Wen ended just now). He came clean with his shortcoming of not being able to fully separate his personal and work life, which is 100% understandable in the context of what just happened. He suggested other banks to Jim that could be suitable. What more can he truly do? Pretend like he is not affected and risk acting on his emotions later?
Jim not making scene was also a mature behavior. One does not negate the other. As far as I see it, both of them are kind of a victims of Wen's indecisiveness. Wen broke up with Alan, but then did not fully end whatever was going on between them "out of pity". Wen told Jim whatever is going on will not be complicated, knowing fully well it already is complicated because of his living situation with Alan Β―\_(γ)_/Β― Now Jim and Alan have to deal with emotional impact.
Being ass would be knowing you might make some emotional decision along the way, not tell Jim and then when shit goes down blame Jim and Wen for it, because they screwed him up emotionally.
I get that at first they did not add subs to what they were saying using sign language because it was suppose to represent Li Ming's side and how much he also gets from what Heart is saying, but now... adding subs makes sense. Now that both of them sign and Li Ming is also often not even verbalizing what he is saying, it's just not necessary to not add subs. It does not anymore represents Li Ming's perspective, it's just confusing for the viewers... Β―\_(γ)_/Β―
I have so much respect to Alan for being honest about how it might be hard for him to separate personal things from work. This is too much of a risk to "hope for the best". He told Jim it would be better to try get the loan somewhere else, but at the end Jim is the one making the inform decision.
That hi5, double hi5 and then fake kiss makes me worried about My School President finale π€‘
Overall, as charming as the drama seemed at first, I'm kind of losing interest with each and every episode. This "each episode is the next month" sounds good on paper, but lacks in execution. I need to keep reminding myself how much time passed, because it is not obvious.
As I said in the comment below: Earth was miscast and because of it, many things are just weird.
While it has many beautiful shots, it also has many lighting issues.
I find Wen and Alan's story the most interesting, and Li Ming and Heart's story best executed. Wen and Jim just ain't doing it for me. Also, it's just sad how little screentime Gaipa gets - why not give Khaotung time to showcase his talent. Earth and Mix are better in acting than a lot of BL actors, but they are also the worst from the cast in this drama. And yet technically they are the center of it all and THE leads.
I adore Li and Heart's relationship, but I also agree that there is a bit much going on, especially with this format of storytelling. We get 1-2 days of a month of their lives, we just so much in terms of buildup... Each episode in the next month, so it's hard to actually show the gradual progression AND the amount of time that has passed.
I actually agree that Jim and Wen's relationship is the least interesting one. On one hand I do not vibe with it because of the miscast (because many scenes just do not feel authentic enough), on the other hand... Wen is charming but not a person whom I want to root for in terms of his love line? For me he needs some solo time, not another partner. I adore his scenes with Li Ming and I actually prefer this older brother vibes he has here, than what is going on with Jim.
"Instead of facing the problem" - he was clear from the start he does not want the problem and Wen saying there will be none was the reason he even agreed to the one night stand and all that happened later. In his situation, not wanting to deal with and "face the problem" that Wen caused is completely valid.
About Wen - for me he him not wanting to meet with Wen makes perfect sense. He said he does not want any complicated relationships on day one. Wen said fine, then she started to put himself in Jim's life knowing very well his situation IS complicated. Jim does not have time, strength and motivation to put himself through shit like that because he has too many responsibilities anyway.
For Li Ming, Jim os his legal guardian - any issues would also cause Jim issues. They clearly telling us about the wealth differences and how poor has little to no rights and chance to fight against the rich, so it makes sense that Jim as an adult would put that over momentary hurt feelings he might cause Li Ming. It's the adult way of thinking - if shit goes down, they literally have no means to fight back and deal with it. Li Ming is right in terms of his motivation - it';s not fair and he should not apologize for things he did not do wrong. But in reality, his motivation means nothing, because if the family would turn out to be dicks, no amount of him screaming how bad they are would change the unfair consequences he would have to face.
Earth is doing his best, but he does give off more of a cool young uncle vibes, and not grown up man who is just tired of everything and trying to deal with the piling issues with little to no help from others. And because of that, his reactions and behaviors seem more selfish and immature than they actually are in the circumstances the character is in.
With this "I slept with you out of pity" and Wen knowing Alan cannot treat him just as friend, but still trying and going for it, I hope no one will now just blame Alan for being delusional it can work out. They both made mistakes in this relationship. It's not Alan being villain and Wen being a victim.
Wen be like: Be logical. I'm just sleeping with my ex in one bed and he still cannot accept we actually broke up and tried to beat you up for sleeping with "his boyfriend". But we are jUsT fRiEnDs π€‘
Wen, you delusional bish π€£π€£π€£π€£π€£π€£π€£
Heart and Li Ming tho ππππππ₯°
Okay, will there be a meeting between Gaipa and Alan? I'm curious if they will couple everyone up by the end or nah. I want Alan to have a happy ending π₯²
