I guess I have a "controversial" opinion about Kamden-Krystian situation π€‘
I will say it every fucking week - Keita needs to debut and be the leader. Each episode he just proves he was born to take the role. The way he takes care of the trainee, how he took the guys and started practice Korean with them ππ»
Kill This Love K group was so scripted I cannot stop laughing. From Geon Wook not being picked for so long, to Min Hyun asking if maybe they want to stop picking right now π€£π€£π€£ Like damn, they did not even try to make it look more low key and less scripted π
Damn... it kind of was scripted, just not by ment, but by Geon Wook π€£π€£π€£π€£π€£π€£π€£π€£π€£π€£
Matthew is such a talented kid, but he has so little confidence is sad π
Geon Wook, who was NOT suppose to be the one picking team members: When I picked the team members I had a clear picture of what I wanted...
I love this child π€£π€£π€£π€£ Also, picking Hwan Hee as the leader was dumb Β―\_(γ)_/Β― It was all Geon Wook plan and vision and he made it happen, so logically speaking he should be the leader. "Rather than two suns, Hwan Hee is more like a moon" EXACTLY, even trainees saw it. He just did what Geon Wook said and planned.. *A few minutes later* Hwan Hee: I'm just Geon Wook's puppet.
Well as long as they know Β―\_(γ)_/Β―
Ouju ma dude, it's hardly a "dance together" part. You take 4 steps together and move to the side. HOW IS THIS DANCING TOGETHER and worth fighting for during the discussion of the parts? π This picking roles just shows how much of a kids they all are and how immature their decisions are too.
Why am I not surprised Crayon is the leader of the Danger team? π€£ From YWY3 we could easily see he does well in the role.
Danger is honestly not a hard song, It has literally one high note and all the rest are fine. I'm surprised it was not picked fast. Also just the name BTS gives you advantage in views and popularity... Also Crayon said they mostly have rappers so it's an issue - it's liberally not for this song. It was early BTS days, Kookie was a rapper back then π€£ The whole song is rapper focused so having more good rappers is a good thing,
For the Kamden team... Picking him as a leader was just a huge mistake. What Krystian did initially was a dick move, but not even that out of line, and Kamden did NOTHING to correct it, which clearly shows he was not fit to be leader. Krystian is a bit self-centered, everyone who saw YWY3 knows that, but with good leadership it can be controlled and can become an asset to the group. The reason I did not feel bad about Kamden - he willingly took the leader position and then did not behave like a leader at all Β―\_(γ)_/Β― Honestly, if I was Kamden I would just look Krystian straight in the eyes and as: Do you want to be the leader?
Assuming the worst of Krystian (which goes against everything I saw about him in YWY3, which was not known for evil editing like mnet), Kamden did nothing to try to tame him. So why volunteer to be the leader? π With all the comments saying how awful Krystian behaved I was expecting far more than 3 comments we actually saw... People focused on how bad Krystian was, when for me the bigger issue was failed leadership. First - control they guy that seems to step out of line, be firm.
G Very Nice - About Cong vocals... he is not that good tbh. He is just lucky to be in higher range, hence it was easier for him to do good with theme song and now Very Nice. But the control ain't here. He seems loud and high and that's all. Ma Jing Xiang did great. His rap for the 2nd verse was the highlight for me.
Overall, vocals were unstable for the whole team...
K Very Nice - again... same issue with G group - unstable vocals. Main did amazing job, but that's the only one who truly did well π
Overall, I would give it to G team, but honestly none did amazing...
G Kill This Love - a solid and really stable performance. I wish there was an "it" moment that made me go π€―", but even without it, it was still real good.
K Kill This Love - first of all Geon Wook's outfit is π₯π₯ I get Hwan Hee wanted to add the high note for the team and for the impact... but it was painful to hear. In his condition it was obvious he struggled a lot to hit it... it's not pleasant for the audience π
G team did better, but were not that amazing. I don't know. For both Vert Nice and Kill This Love... these were just standard performance I will forget about tomorrow. Partially I blame the editing and camera work coz holy fuck it was awful π€‘
Love Me Right K team in vocal practice was such a mess omg π€£π€£π€£π€£ G team literally ate the song.
I love Hui, but Jay did objectively better with the high note. It has more impact - sounds both more relax and open. It's just nicer to listen to.
G Love Me Right was the best performance this episode. That said, Anthony's vocals made me nervous, as if I was waiting for him to go off pitch... π¬
As for Wen, I home they keep him a messy character and won't try to whitewash his behavior as if he did no wrong. They tried that in Thousand Stars and it annoyed me...
But with how Wen treats Alan and how clear he is about not wanting to get back together, the one bed is weird. Living together is one thing, but one bed is another.
Why is real life not as aesthetic? π€£π€£π€£π€£π€£
Wen's life is such a mess. Ma dude, nothing good can come out with living with your ex, especially if you still share the bed π
How much time passed? Didn't that bish just find out she is pregnant? But her belly already so big? π
"When you decide something for him, you think he's too young. But when you expect him to do something, you think he's old enough." The problem for many parents: the kids are old enough to take more and more responsibilities, but not old enough to have freedom of making their own choices.
So yeah, now the age annoys me even more. Sure, let's ignore how Earth does not look 40 at all. Let's say he looks hella young and good for his age. But then Mix's character also looks FAR TOO FUCKING YOUNG to pass as 30 π€£ Then it's not just a case of one character looking younger than his age, it's just poor casting Β―\_(γ)_/Β― Like, the show is supposed to be more mature and on more realistic side, but this casting is so ridiculous for the ages of the characters it's hard for me to take anything seriously π€‘
Jim is kind of interested, but nothing too crazy - sure hot nice younger dude, good shit. But Wen is just fascinated and so into Jim it's painful.
First is soooo attractive. He reminds me of someone, but i cannot grasp who... damn, this is annoying.
SBHJSFGSDJKF OMG NOW I REMEMBER LOL He could be Luo Yi Zhou's older brother!
There is one thing that this show does extremely well - exploring different types of romantic love.
We have the cute and fully first love between Heart nad Li Ming.
We have a fading relationship between Wen and Alan, where one already moved on, and the other still tries to save the relationship.
We have one sided love between Gaipa and Jim.
And we have a relationship that is initially based on physical attraction that builds into something more between Jim and Wen.
And the happy soon to be family Saleng and Praew.
Not to mention all the other kinds of love showed, that are nor romantic in nature.
HAHAHAHA WHEN JIM JUST STOOD THERE WHEN SHIT WAS GOING DOWN, BUT THEN ALAN TALKED SHIT ABOUT HIS CHINCKEN AND HE STARTED TO THROW HANDS HAHAHAHAHA
THE WAY HE YANKED THAT FUCKING TIE OMG FIRST IS π₯
also that ketchup on Wen's forehead with no wound π€£π€£π€£π€£π€£
The way the trailer is put together is so funny. Coz Wen screams: "I DON'T LOVE YOU ANYMORE" and Alan goes "THAT'S A SHITTY EXCUSE" bitch, there is no better excuse to break up π€‘π€‘π€‘π€‘ Like this might be two separate conversations, but putting them together is gold hahaha
Which is kind of sad. I don't they even tried to look for older actor for this role.
Nothing will top China in that aspect tho, once I started a show where 40 years old actress as suppose to be like 15 years old teen ππ»π€£
I get that people can look a lot younger than their age, the issue is - usually when someone looks this young for their age, that is the fact that is being talked about, not how old the person actually is. But them bringing it up all the time seems just like a poor attempt to convince me he actually looks his age π
Putting that and sighing aside, I like it a lot. Especially Heart and Li Ming's story. I also cannot wait for Alan to mess shit up - First is so attractive ππ»
She actually made me want to rewatch three body right away, to pay attention to a few things she mentioned.
As for the review, writing it was pain in the ass - how to writing how amazing the show is without any spoilers, when literally everything I say about it seems like a spoiler? π€£
For now there is only one trainee that I truly think needs to have a spot in top9 and debut:
Keita - preferably as leader, because he is one of the most all rounder ones, he is relatively young, but also have years of experience so he can connect to younger members and get the respect from older one, and he already showed some leadership skills and potential. There is literally no downfall from him being part of the group.
