His eyes were so expressive, he can make me feel things without talking. < this! Honestly, i was so impressed with Fourth's performance exactly because his eyes were so expressive!

She had the ultimate character development, they had us believing she would be just another overbearing controlling…
Gun's mom had similar approach, but it would be close to impossible to make her influence Tinn's mom like the dad did. Dad was pure plot device to help Tinn's mom reconsider some things and guide her a bit through the process, and because of that I think he was necessary, even if he was just a male version of Gun's mom hahaha

Like, you could see she is trying, but she has no idea how to approach it and ends up saying not quite the right words...
Also, the dad was great addition too. I wish he had more screentime.

"I was going to ask but I have never seen him look this terrified" < I rewatched this scene like 3 times it was SO WELL DONE. Overall, her character was amazingly written.

and resolve any potential conflict through meaningful conversations < this! Honestly we are all tired of conflicts based on miscommunication, so them actually talking to each other was so amazing to watch!

"It's okay, I was the reason you were afraid to tell" < this scene broke me. Also the scene where she wanted to ask him about Gun, but saw how scared he was and decided to change the topic.

G group ate Love Me Right. The song was made for them. They had better groove and fitted the song so well. What…
I mean yeah, Ji Woong is popular, but going by popularity he is not more popular than Hui or Sung Han Bin (as in the show among the audience in studio watching live), yet he got 100+ votes more. Realistically speaking, without abs, neither him nor Park Han Bin would be able to reach 200+ votes.

And I honestly have no issue with idols showing abs ยฏ\_(ใƒ„)_/ยฏ They train their bodies and then use them as assets on stage - fine with me. But there was one big issue I had with HOW Ji Woong did it - he sacrificed his line to do it. There was exactly zero reasons for him to put that shirt in his mouth as he was singing his part. It would have exactly the same effect on the audience without it. Basically showing abs should NEVER be more important than the vocal or rap performance, as they are singers not body builders.

Well I'm sorry then, I scrolled through the comment and saw no one fitting the "defender" you described, I guess I might be blocked by them.

The emojis are who I think should win, bot necessarily who did ๐Ÿฅฒ
Also it feels like the judges just put the teams into categories matched them the least to see what will happen ๐Ÿคฃ
Also can we get a full extra episode of the picking songs?

๐Ÿ† BXB (4:00) - Victory Song.
Damn... that's a COMPLETE 180 from Reply ๐Ÿคฃ this fits them so much better than cute fresh concept lol Also, I love the outfits. Just because you are young and new idols does not mean you need to do cute and fresh concept. This was better than their first stage.

๐Ÿฉน DIGNITY (1:00) - Maverick
First of all, I really like the original song ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป
From the start it lacks the energy and the wow factor that makes you focus on the performance. They had exactly the same issue during their first stage... The chorus in this song HITS SO HARD, but the performance does not show it at all ๐Ÿฅฒ Like damn. The dance break was great and the chorus the "back in the game" part hits so strong after the dance break, there is so much energy, why they performed the first half with like low batter I don't know.

First of all Karam is my bias as of now. I love the dude. From "good for you" to "this is the power of people in their 30s" ๐Ÿคฃ
๐Ÿฉน DGNA / The Boss (23:00) - Shine
This is not an easy song for people their age lol But damn they managed to make it fun and hype and not embarrassing at all. Legit just want to vibe with them! Also for all the vocals, they did well with rap too!

๐Ÿ† BDC (18:00) - Beautiful Beautiful
10 seconds in, I'm sold. I love my dudes in their 30s, but damn BDC ate that performance and they fitted the concept so much better. I honestly believe this pairing was a bit unfair. They should have put another older team against 23 team. Team 18 won easily. That was a clean freshness on stage.

๐™ˆ.๐™Š.๐™‰.๐™ (20:00) ๐™ซ๐™จ 24๐™† (21:00) - ๐˜ฝ๐™–๐™™ ๐˜ฝ๐™ค๐™ฎ๐™จ
๐Ÿฉน 24K (21:00) - Very Good
That's a good pick. Coz it's a crazy bad boys, not sexy bad boys, and I don't think they can pull off sexy bad guys lol They are trying so hard, but they still looks soooooo cute ๐Ÿคฃ Shi Woo did soooooooooooooooo good tho. The way he went towards 20 team at the end ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

๐Ÿ†M.O.N.T (20:00) - Go Crazy
I'm sorry, but this is a meme song, not a bad guy song ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ That said... they kind of fit and not fit the concept? They gave me a troublemakers vibe, which kind of can be considered bad guys. More like a dudes that cause mayhem rather than cool dangerous vibes. I liked it tho. For sure more than Very Good, which was just... too cute and tamed from more membera.

GHOST9 (14:00) - I Luv It
This is such a good song to perform. As long as you are confident and relaxed, it's rather easy to ace it.
Jun Hyeong opening so strong I feel proud. But... I feel like some members wanted to look cool... and it's not it for this song...

๐Ÿ† BAE173 (13:00) - La Song
Great opening picture and formation. Mu Jin really stands out as a performer damn. and damn the chorus sounds like an awesome anthem! This was truly an impressive stage. For me they won, but not by much against I Luv It. I agree with 4:4.

24:00 ๐™ซ๐™จ ๐™‘๐˜ผ๐™‰๐™‰๐™€๐™ (11:00) - ๐™Ž๐™š๐™ญ๐™ฎ
I am so happy all the grown up men are doing the sexy concept ๐Ÿ˜ญ
๐Ÿ†VANNER (11:00) - Love Killa
dsfhdsjkg that solo dance yes. i can be the floor? ๐ŸฅฒI liked it? I think the ad libs during the closing rap part were a bit all over the place and not quite necessary, but overall, done well. I like the idea of a classic mature sexy tbh. Like damn you don't need to be half naked to be sexy hahaha

๐Ÿฉน 24:00 - Good Boy Gone Bad
Jong Up is just sfkshd nsdlkvjgdslblfas f oof. But... i don't know... something was overall missing in the performance. Maybe I just know and enjoy the original song too much, so the a bit different delivery does not click well with me. I honestly feel like they lack strong rapper ๐Ÿฅฒ

What I learned from the episode tho: no amount of preexisting fame, years of experience, giving your 1000% can top showing abs ๐Ÿคก Pretty sure two trainees that showed their abs got most individual votes. Ji Woong with 259 and Park Han Bin with 253. Sad truth, but I guess to succeed in Korea these trainees need to hit the gym, not the vocal practice room ๐Ÿคก

You must mean me, right? If not, I'm sorry for jumping to the conclusion. But I have no issue with anyone praising Jay, I did myself lol I think he did a lot better than Hui in the performance. But your comment was NOT complimenting Jay, it was focused on bashing Hui for being in the show - there is a difference. All I did was ask for clarification from you and you obviously did not think things through before answering so your answers literally contradicted each other ยฏ\_(ใƒ„)_/ยฏ

I legit don't even remember who Da Eul was. I just keep hearing how popular he is, but then he sucked in this episode both in terms of skills and his attitude ๐Ÿคก

Love Me Right K team did great. Overall one of the strongest performances. I just felt like G group felt more fresh and fun on stage. Their energy just exploded, while K team had a good pacing and energy level throughout the whole stage.

I personally am okay with Hui competing in this show, but the amount of fans he has is a rather huge advantage.…
I do think Jay did better than Hui in Love Me Right. Overall, G team did better than K team. But here's the thing - this is one the only time in this episode when the already established fanbased made it unfair.

If the issue is fame and already having fans, the only way for this to be truly fair would be removing ALL already debuted idols. Because even without Hui someone else would have an advantage because of their fans. There would always be someone more "lucky" because they already have fanbase, so the only way would be removing everyone who ever debuted. But then it should also mean removing anyone who participated in other similar shows, because even without debut, they do gain fans thanks to that. That's why I am asking for the clear line when it's fine and when it's not. Everyone has a different one, but if someone is against Hui so strongly as some people, I hope they at least took some time to think why and what would be their idea of who can and cannot participate.

The Unit had issues, because it was supposed to be for failed idols, but then a lot of the participants were people who barely debuted and even some trainees. All shows do not stick to their own idea of what the show is supposed to be ๐Ÿ˜…

I feel like Hui gets more hate for participating than other idols who also had established fanbases and debuted again in shows like that: Hwang Min Hyun, Choi Yu Jin as examples. This happened in most of survival shows, but the negative reaction was never this strong so I'm trying to figure out what's different this time compared to previous ones.

Also, about the other reply. Sure, you made it clear where you think the line should be, thank you since you did answer my question.

I just can't get over how biased Mnet is towards K-groups. I just finished ep 4 and there were so many incidents…
Putting aside the votes, I think the bigger problem is the editing. Because mnet cannot really control how people on set will vote, but they do control editing. And for almost all groups they showed how bad the G trainees did during the practice, while showing how well K group was doing (which was for sure not the case, they just selected the "right" takes). And it creates the image that G trainees are worse. Even if they do better in the actual performance, people still have the image of them doing bad during the practice so they don't fully trust the stage itself...

No i don't know what you mean, that's why i ask the questions, to find out. I asked you a simple question: what is the line where someone should not participate. You said: anyone who ever debuted, only trainees. And you said Girls Planet had only trainees which is NOT true ยฏ\_(ใƒ„)_/ยฏ

Clearly he does not have the platform to make it if he is in the show ๐Ÿ˜… He literally said that all the people he contacted to work with after his military service turned him down ยฏ\_(ใƒ„)_/ยฏ

Also, I'm really confused how people are against Hui so much, but I don't see the same sentiment about Kim Ji Woong. It's not like he is just an actor, he also had some years of experience as an idol. So he is both popular BL actor and was a professional musician.

so no trainee that ever debuted should be included. There are more than 20 (and I did not even got to the end of the list of participants) who already debuted in the past.

Also Girls Planet had debuted idols. Yujin who ranked 3rd was literally a member of CLC (a group that was under Cube just like Pentagon and was quite popular). So obviously the line is not clearly defined. I don't know ONE survival show like that truly had only trainees as participants.

Other Girls planet participants who already debuted/had fanbases:
Kang Ye Seo - debuted twice AND is an actress
Cai Bing is part of Chinese girl group
Chiayi was part of the girl group before the show...

I'm not gonna look for more, but I'm sure there are quite a few.

So if for you the line is "never debuted" then literally none of the shows are for you, because all of them have people who already made their debut in them

So the issue is not really experience, but fame? Okay. So I also want to know - how big on a fanbase should be too much to participate? Because if we want to exclude some people from being able to be part of the show, there has to be a clearly defined line.
