As for Hui... I mean... Ji Woong is practically his senior in kpop, since he debuted one month before Hui did 😅 People have valid high expectations towards Ji Woong because he was in the industry for 7 years, and if we add the training time before his comeback, by now he should be as close to all-rounder or at least ace in one of the skills...
What I'm saying is, it's fair to be more critical about trainees who already debuted, especially the ones who debuted years ago in terms of their skills. I'm a massive fan of Hui, he is ace in singing and producing, but it's also true that his dancing is good, but not great and nowhere near the trainees that specialize in dancing. And realistically speaking I don't think he can improve that much in this show, if he did not in past 7 years + training period. It's more about finding his footing, and knowing how to cover up the areas he lacks in with the ones he is skilled in.
Cube completely suck at dealing with controversies and they cannot even keep their lies straight lol Loosing a member because of the controversy was never THE reason any group disbanded, it was the failed reaction from the company after. I mean, look at kpop past 2 years, a lot of groups are losing members left and right, and the companies just work around it and tries to do whatever they can to deal with it. While Cube just gave up.
Cube is to be blamed for what happened. Pentagon had comeback on September 10 in which Dawn was already excluded from. The confirmation of the relationship happened on September 13. What it tells me? They like idiots decided to make the comeback happen before they dealt with the conflict between the company and two artists, so the comeback was planned without Dawn from the start.
The conflict on how to deal with the dating must have been there for some time for them to plan comeback without Dawn. they decided to keep going and make the comeback happen before ending the conflict - be it with ending the contract with Dawn and Hyuna, or coming up with differently conclusion. I don't know... they just went: whatever happens happens, and hoped for the best lol
As for Ji Woong - no issue judging his skills, the show is literally about that. That's how we are all making choices on who to support. And comment section is open for any type of discussion, not just hype about the guys we like.
All that said, I also have no issue with your comment, but since you are addressing a specific person who said it, you should have just reply to them. You have an issue with what they said, you should tell them that.
2. Some had no training, but have a lot of potential and with proper training can catch up to a lot of other contestants (does not happen often, but damn it's a perfect marketing story)
3. They have to add some bad trainees for the first elimination, they are literally there to fill the seats.
Also, I heard mnet actually had problems with getting this number of trainees and they did not really had the luxury to pick and choose around, but that's just something I read in comment sections in different places, might be a completed lie.
Also, mnet is so behind on what people truly want to watch. Wholesome content is literally what people look for now. Everyone is stressed, overworked, the global economy sucks and it only gets worse. There is a reason so many people say they like the happy and cute moments in this show the most. Everyone is just fucking tired lol If they actually focused on the positive interactions and the support the trainees give each other instead of the rivalry, how good the show would be?
Not to mention, these trainees need to know how to work with each other, understand each other's learning style and pace etc. If they keep separating the trainees, how the fuck will they work together after debut, when they never mixed during the show in terms of collaborations?
For the performances:
NUNU NANA: The funny pants trainee - bad and unstable mid range notes in the opening, but solid and open high note. Which is also something a loooooot of trainees struggle with - delivering the technically easier notes, while belting the high notes no issue. Dude had quite a nice sound for the higher notes, but his mid sounded too forced. Seems like he does not have enough control over his voice while dancing, but I feel like he would do A+ if he just stood still.
Kim Min Seong is fun tho. Also, WE DID NOT NEED TO SEE THE FLIP 3 TIMES AND LIKE 3 OR 4 DIFFERENT REACTIONS TO IT. Mnet back with its trash editing. Are the editors underpaid and taking revenge on the station or what?
Osaka Team : Okay vibes wise, Keita would be a good leader. He is relatively young so the younger members would not feel awkward around him, but he also has YEARS of experience so the possible older members would also respect and listen to him.
This is hella hard song to deliver live with no background vocals to support the performance. Coz it's all high tension and energy and without the support of the additional vocals in the track it's easy to make it seem flat and empty. But they did rather well. Keita hella stable. Still, hard to judge coz like always they barely showed the performance 🤡
Reveal: I regret putting my KZ in 🤣 I hear everything too clear 😅 Who made them pick this song? God. I know it's the song that by vibes screams cool visuals, but oof. You need the skills for it. I'm Geon Uk when he delivered that expressionless 아이구 😐
TOO MUCH SEXY 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I was desperate omg Without regret, I wanted to kiss him hahaha What a BL hahahaha
I guess I love Jong Uk "There should be at least one character like me" 🙃
Ment promoting bls, I cannot hate them now, I'm pissed 😭🤬
OMG YES CLASSIC THEY ARE SIGNING MIROTIC THAT OUTFIT MAKES SO MUCH SENSE NOW! THE SONG OMG YES LEGEND! PLEASE SLAY OR I WILL CRY.
OMG THIS SO GOOD OMG YES ASJHGDSDJHFDS LOVE IT DJHGFDF OMG SDJHGFDSHJ YES They wanted to go erotic and not mirotic hahahahahahahahahahahahhaha
omg Takuto... I adopted him episode 1. Cannot wait for his stage! He reminds me of Hoshi so much, coz they are both adorable
weiuthfewksghejrhgfdskfh sdl pmg sdjfhgds i love him dfgvdskfdas omg yes. perfect maknae, make him debut! He is the guy that will have hella fucking quick progress in no time.
Reply: this song hits me hard since I'm noona to most recent idols hahahaha I have to say tho, the dance was sooo much better than the reply performance 🤣Honestly people might be pissed about trainees with this little skill being part of the competition, but these are the kids that have the most potential to make a big progress, because they are not afraid of the stage, of expressing themselves and making mistakes. They will be willing to learn since they are not scared of looking “dumb” or awkward on stage.
That said, them getting 2 stars for the expressions while Takuto got zero even tho he literally embodied the song and did more or less as good of a job is a joke lol They will struggle in 2 star group a lot... It's actually a big disadvantage to them.
khuadcsfbhj dsfkb dsfjkfbh jkdsghj k;tds io g fhuikfg dfhji r fdsikolg hjkdmnfgh adklgj gsd FUCKING THE REAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I heard the opening and i al;most threw my laptop sdjhfgsdhjfgbdskgsd my atiny heart 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 Please slay! There is something about the name Han Bin lol Sung Han Big was hella good. Park Han Bin is hella good lol jdsghfsdjkghd omg i literally stopped the episode and went yt to check the full performance and Han Bin gives such a mix of Wooyoung and San vibes I am fucking dying omg BUT ALSO WHAT IS THIS RECYCLED INSTRUMENTAL I CANNOT HAHAHAHAHAH
Park Han Bin is one my favs now. I’m biased as fuck. Them doing The Real had a big part in him being my fav lol
I’m scared for Hui. Coz it’s so obvious they will not give him all star. Like… the expectations are so high. Even if he performs better than all trainees he will still not reach the impossible standard people have for him… They said it, they will judge him more strictly. Which is ridiculous. Because by the end of the show they need to have the best trainees by the objective standards to debut, not pick the ones who did better than expected based on subjective views the judges had…
THAT FUCKING HIGH NOTE I AM DEAD OFIGHDFGBN YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO and that run just shows how much control he has! If you are not comfortable with the note ain’t no runs for you lol IF this performance is not all star, there is literally no performance that deserves all star.
“there were better performers than him”: BITCH NAME ONE LOL KJSHFSDJFD HAHAHAHA WHAT A JOKE. I KNEW IT LOL LIKE WHAT THE FCK ASHJDGDSFJKDSBJK Literally no one performed better than him. The dudes that did a lot better than him dancing wise had mediocre vocals, decent at best. The dudes that had vocals even coming close to him were not as good at dancing. WHAT ARE THEY SMOKING OMG HAHUASHFGSJDFBSD I AM PISSED BUT ALSO NOT SURPRISED
Not to mention they literally contradicted themselves. You cannot first say “it will be hard for you to beat him” after the performance, and then among themselves: “there were better performers” IF THERE WERE BETTER PERFORMERS THEN THAT MEANS THEY BEAT HIM IN SKILLS, YOU CAN;’T HAVE FUCKIONG BOTH BISH. Either it will be hard to beat him, or they were already better than him. Pick fucking one and stick with it, don;’t make some dramatic scripted bullshit omg
THEY LITERALLY GAVE 2 STARS TO TRAINEES THAT DID GAG CONCERT INSTEAD OF DANCE FREESTYLE OMG What a clownery. Exactly what I expected from the garbage mnet. Like this station does not even pretend to have any standard and class anymore.
MENT YOU SDKJFGHDSUJGH BITCH OMGHJSDFGDSJHDSG I HATE MENT OMG HAHAHA I LITERALY GAVE UP ANY HOPE DURING THE DISCUSSION OMG HAHAHAHA WHAT A BULLSHITJHDSFGSDKJFNSD MNET IS MASTER OF FUCKED UP EVIL EDITING. I WANT TO CRY 😭 My child got all star… I can breathe again. This whole part of the episode of Hui performing and the judging was a whole ass emotional and spiritual ride for me lol I guess I’m the biggest clown here hahaha
Not me being old and thirsting over dance mentors more than trainees themselves ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Yo putting two cutest kids in one room is cheating. Takuto and Matthew? oof. My two children are getting along, I’m proud.
Honestly Theme Song is the most bullshit round out of all. Coz it’s always biased towards two groups: cute trainees and vocal driven trainees. Good luck if you are a rapper - you are fucked. Or you are more on the low end of the vocal range lol Like, it;s not like these high pitch kids could deliver good and stable lower tones, so why forced the low pitch guys to scream these high notes? The obsession over high notes in kpop is ridiculous. Hitting high notes does not make you a good singer lol
And the concept thing is just funny, coz cute pure concept had seen decline in popularity for years 🤣 So they judge them on the concept that is LITERALLY the least popular in kpop right now, and has been for few years hahaha
It’s a great way to judge the trainees memorizing shit and working under more stress and limited time, BUT they should have 2 theme songs with different themes - cute and … well less cute and sort the trainees to two categories based on what fits them more for it to be more objective and fair.
Mnet putting the friends against each other, so typical lol ‘
For the theme song… putting aside the pitch, I’m confused why the trainees are struggling with the melody itself. It’s so basic. I could literally sing along the chorus after one listen… How are they struggling after months and years of training?
Takuto is my favorite child.
Also they should have different language versions for other teams than K team. While I understand it’s K-pop, these trainees will not have to learn the whole song in 2 days in the future and perform it by heart. They will spend time learning it, then a few days in a recording studio, then months practicing choreography… They will have time to memorize the lyrics in the future, but expecting G group trainees to learn a song in foreign language in few days, while even K trainees struggles is biased as fuck.
Can I even love Hui any more than I already do? I live by exactly the same standard - there is no shame in asking for help and explanation if you want to improve. So what if they are younger? Their dancing is better, so if Hui wants to reach his full potential, it makes sense to ask around. You improve way faster if you learn from people who are better than you, compared to struggling alone. For me it just shows how wise and mature he is.
I SAID IT! KEITA WOULD BE A GREAT LEADER! He saw Jay struggling and suggested he will help him with the choreo! Like… damn. Yes, I love him.
Krystian being 22 when mnet literally only showed him react to other trainees is the funniest thing ever lol
Will add the 2nd half after 2nd episode.
So we all know the shows are rigged even without "officially rigging the votes". Production team has its favs and the editing shows it as fuck. Unless someone catches the publics attention for some reason or someone becomes fans favorite randomly, the top9 will consist of the idols who had the most focus on them in episode 1 and 2 ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Episode 1 we had:
⭐ Park Han Bin
⭐ Seok Matthew
⭐ Chen Kuan Jui
⭐ Park Gun Wook
⭐ Jang Hao
⭐ Han Yu Jin
⭐ Sung Han Bin
⭐ Hui
⭐ Haruto
⭐ Jay
There is a huge difference between their screen time and what other trainees got. When some were shown just for the group greeting and not even bits of the performances, they often had the whole framing of their personalities - why they auditioned, what was their journey to be idols, how it started, additional performances, other idols talking about them etc. Bot only that - look at Chen Kuan Jui - they did not even show the group performance, just his bits from it, from various angles, repeated few times, adding slow motion etc.
So yeah, while I might like some other trainees, I am getting mentally ready for most of the ones above to debut, and the chances of someone else getting in are real low.
Same thing happens in Thai BLs, but with putting together the same pairings over and over again , it's not just "because they have a good chemistry"- this sell, because they already have a fanbase, because they don't want to piss off the fans of the ship. the 💵💵 is and always will be a factor in casting.
Honestly speaking, my biggest issue is casting people who for some reason don't want to kiss AT ALL on screen. Be it the decision they made or it's in the contract with the company they are sign under. Like Cherry Magic - amazing show, but the last elevator scene was just 🤡 Or Toptap and Mike in Tonhon Chonlatee - the characters were supposed to be openly gay couple, and they kept cutting scenes every time they were about to kiss - it was just annoying and distracting. Just don't write the kisses into the script if you know the cast can't do them for some reason ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
