The moment I started to enjoy it, especially last two episodes, it ended. Poetic tho how it mirrors male lead - the moment he started to enjoy life he died 🙂

That's the thing tho: he dead no what? I can imagine what all the characters will do now with their lives except for her, since she was never established as an individual with her own motivation... She could have take the time to find new drama since she cannot have kids... But we did not get to see that either

That said... this is probably "the most typical and mainstream ASD portrayal" we can get. Not that it's incorrect, but I would hope in 2025 we would get a bit more nuance 🥲

That scene in the doctor office tho - realistic, but annoying as fucking. Whenever it's ASD, or elderly patient etc - doctors often talk about them as if they were not present in the room. And I get that sometime you need to present some information to the caretaker, or the patient is non-verbal or even when their cognitive abilities really deteriorated, you can still do it in a way that does not treat the other person like they don't exist.

Also what kind of astrological bullshit was: "Some autistic people are quick to detect vibrations from far off" 🤣 I guess I kind of understand what he meant, but the way he put it it sounds way too mystical and supernatural for a healthcare provider 🤡

The idea that BLs need a straight couple to be more mainstream feels like a slippery slope. < I am not saying it's right, but it is sadly true at the moment.

And I am also 100% on board for straight rom-coms to have gay supporting/2nd couples I would LOVE to see that. And I think it's something that for sure should happen. But sadly the entertainment industry is run by money. And what sells is generic cliche straight romance.

Just because I would love BLs to have the same level of support and sponsors and production budget as BLs does not change the fact it is not how it is right now.

Under almost ever short kbl I see people complaining about how short it is, how low budget it is, how they wish we would get longer ones. But how can one achieve that without making the story more mainstream? I actually see it a bit similar to how rom-coms add 8746574897654 fucking different unnecessary plotlines because they want to make sure everyone can find something for themselves to like. It;s like no rom-com is just a romcom anymore, they all are also thriller, stalker or murder mystery. Why? Because that sells.

if they keep the main couple as gay, it; shardly straight washing to the extent people make it to be. People act as if they removed any part of gay representation from the story when the main plot is still BL, the main couple is still BL.

BL are NOT currently marketable in Korea. While you might have many creators that want to work on projects like that, you do not have many sponsors to invest. Why? Because this is a niche genre in Korea. Personally I rather have well produced, longer BL with a side straight couple, than 8 episodes long all 20 minutes long with limited budget. At least from time to time.

So you want complete separation? Straight rom-coms with just straight couples, and BLs with just gay couples and no dramas mixing?

Separating BLs and "straight" dramas provides dedicated spaces for different experiences and preferences. < and some people have preference of seeing both straight and gay romance as part of one story... I'm not saying remove BLs altogether. I'm saying some dramas can be straight romcom, some pure BL, and some can be both. It does not have to be one or the other.

They often try to do more than it's possible in a short show 🤡

I see some people complaining we have a straight second couple, but like... do you guys want a better quality bl main couples and overall dramas or not? Coz the sad reality is - changing the profile on Korean entertainment industry to be more inclusive is a long process and we are sadly not getting improvement and budget is the drama is not more mainstream. An straight romance is more mainstream, and sells better in Korea so far.

Also, maybe it's just me, but I would actually appreciate if more shows had more mixed relationships - not just straight dramas with 100% straight couples, and bls with 100% gay couples. Of course I still want BLs to be BLs, but from time to time mixing shit up seems like a god idea, instead of separating the two completely.
