I like how the set up camera. Also, loved that one show when they were rotating camera like a clock.
That said... this is probably "the most typical and mainstream ASD portrayal" we can get. Not that it's incorrect, but I would hope in 2025 we would get a bit more nuance π₯²
That scene in the doctor office tho - realistic, but annoying as fucking. Whenever it's ASD, or elderly patient etc - doctors often talk about them as if they were not present in the room. And I get that sometime you need to present some information to the caretaker, or the patient is non-verbal or even when their cognitive abilities really deteriorated, you can still do it in a way that does not treat the other person like they don't exist.
Also what kind of astrological bullshit was: "Some autistic people are quick to detect vibrations from far off" π€£ I guess I kind of understand what he meant, but the way he put it it sounds way too mystical and supernatural for a healthcare provider π€‘
Wait... he does mean astrological bullshit, like they are literally talking about him hearing stars π€£π€£π€£π€£π€£ I get it, he is literally psychic, the mysticism of it is not the problem, it's the fact it's delivered by a doctor during a visit π€‘
Win is a fucking creep π
And not that motor scene giving Final Destination vibes π€£ And then the "chilling at home, I feel like something bad is about to happen".
Honestly question... can't they take sleeping pills that will knock them out of existence for one day π€‘
Ozone being scared of popping balloons and thunders - kind of relatable π₯² I have this fucking irrational fear of being struck by lightning, so when i need to walk my dog when it's about to rain with lightning or, it already rains and there are lightnings, I almost cry π I legit sometimes run back home.
DAMN THAT ENDING OF THE EPISODE! π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯
And I am also 100% on board for straight rom-coms to have gay supporting/2nd couples I would LOVE to see that. And I think it's something that for sure should happen. But sadly the entertainment industry is run by money. And what sells is generic cliche straight romance.
Just because I would love BLs to have the same level of support and sponsors and production budget as BLs does not change the fact it is not how it is right now.
Under almost ever short kbl I see people complaining about how short it is, how low budget it is, how they wish we would get longer ones. But how can one achieve that without making the story more mainstream? I actually see it a bit similar to how rom-coms add 8746574897654 fucking different unnecessary plotlines because they want to make sure everyone can find something for themselves to like. It;s like no rom-com is just a romcom anymore, they all are also thriller, stalker or murder mystery. Why? Because that sells.
BL are NOT currently marketable in Korea. While you might have many creators that want to work on projects like that, you do not have many sponsors to invest. Why? Because this is a niche genre in Korea. Personally I rather have well produced, longer BL with a side straight couple, than 8 episodes long all 20 minutes long with limited budget. At least from time to time.
So you want complete separation? Straight rom-coms with just straight couples, and BLs with just gay couples and no dramas mixing?
Separating BLs and "straight" dramas provides dedicated spaces for different experiences and preferences. < and some people have preference of seeing both straight and gay romance as part of one story... I'm not saying remove BLs altogether. I'm saying some dramas can be straight romcom, some pure BL, and some can be both. It does not have to be one or the other.
I have no idea why, coz it;s not like this is what viewers even want π€£
Also, maybe it's just me, but I would actually appreciate if more shows had more mixed relationships - not just straight dramas with 100% straight couples, and bls with 100% gay couples. Of course I still want BLs to be BLs, but from time to time mixing shit up seems like a god idea, instead of separating the two completely.
Also this makes me want to have a crush. Not even be in a relationship, just have a crush.
Kim Seung Won is so adorable π
Lee Hee Su is hilarious π
I'm actually excited for both the BL pairing and the straight pairings.
This was exactly what I needed to watch after tiring week at work.
I totally went to watch the trailer to see some future cute moment, and bitches damn the trailer gives you nothing π€£
It's a good trailer, but they truly made sure not to give any major spoilers in it π€‘
Well, glad you were able to enjoy my review even if you disliked the show π I honestly don't know why I vibes with it so much. It happens sometimes - right timing maybe π€‘
