I would’ve rated this higher if the plot held up better. The games were all intense except the final one, which fell flat and felt boring. I also wish the characters had been given stronger, more convincing reasons to return to the Borderland. The baby subplot wasn’t too bad here either, definitely not as absurd and forced as the one in Squid Game.

Was that ending taken from the original novel?

I’m on episode 27 and can’t help wondering, will they actually explain in later episodes how the Snake Lord (who’s supposedly thousands of years old) ended up with the identity of Minister Liu’s daughter?

She’s even ordered her men to tail Jiang Si and Yu Qi. Plus, it looks like she’ll be joining forces with the other prince—the one who shares a birth mother with Yu Qi, I forgot his name but yeah.
