Yes, they show that scene a lot, I guess it is because they did not meet each other so often so Xiang Liu used that sentence to prevent himself from pursuing her because he was a rebel.

They were clearly in love with each other. Female lead gave him opportunities but everytime he stopped himself from kissing her / get close to her ( when she was conscious. )
Because he kissed her, huged her, caressed her when she was unconscious/ KO.

The love she felt from the get go to the end was for Xiang Liu. But their love is impossible . He is a rebel in disguise. She gave him several opportunities (passionate love )

Then she learned to love Tushan Jin. He got close to her slowly. He throws himself onto her. Their love is possible. ( sweet romance)

There is a difference between passion : no control and romance : full control.

I totally agree some people don't even watch the first episode completely. Yet they rate dramas badly...what a shame. It is better not to trust review so much.

You are right it wasn't unrequited love.
It was unaccomplished/ unrealized love.
They were in love from the beggining but they couldn't make their love become a reality due to their opposing political status.

With is selfless love Third Male Lead ( Xaing Liu ) became Male Lead in this drama

Great, I did watched rich man poor woman. Glad you know " the beauty inside". You are right muscles support bones. It might by the reason behind those injuries if he lacks muscles.
I hope he gets in shape and healthy aswell. He is such a great actor.

Of course, the rating up to you. I just wanted to let you understand why they changed the plot of this way.

The story was very entertaining to me until Male Lead desappears halfway.
They even add a weird story just before the end like he could loose all his senses, just to save screentime without him (healing his ankle) in my opinion. So he had to hide from Female Lead even more.

I watched "the beauty inside" which they bought the rights to make this drama.
The general story is the same for the leads, up to the middle of the show. After that it changes.

I forgive them and I liked the drama despite all the "drama" that occured on set.

How come Tushan Jin is so useless when is comes to defend Female Lead . It is depressing .
And she remains in love with him. Hopelessness....

I get you. Same here. I googled gifs of the show. It is him and only him.
Now that I watch the drama. I would like him to be Male Lead.

If you refuse to believe what the proper director and crew officially aired.
