27. A 2024 drama too few people watched
"The legend of Taotie"(2024) . The drama was shelved for 4 oor 5 years. It is a pity. Because the story is engaging and although the CGI is not as good as other dramas released today, it worths the watch.
Chinese censorship should have let this pass 4 years ago.

Honorable mention : "Silent" (2022) . ML looses the sense of hearing and disappears from his girlfriend's life, without saying goodbye.
Years later, she sees someone from afar who looks like him. Is it him?

Yes ML is despicable in the beginning,. I also noticed that ML loved FL out of the blue. In general in dramas. There is a matter of time travel or maybe someone ( from the future ) told ML something that made him change on the spot.Or ML had his own path that they did not show us. I will watch the rest to find out.

would not say that the acting of the concubine is bad. I think that she was portraying a ridiculous; over the top character, who is supposed to be the protagonist inthe drama, whereas FL is a supporting cast member. But she was more like an antagonist to us viewer.
I guess they asked the concubine to over play in order to make FL seem better and more beautiful.
Because indeed, she looked ridiculous. Even the maids were more serious than her.

Thank you, they changed the show completely. I hope he stays with Miu and heals. And I hope the chemistry is good between the leads. That would save the drama for a lot of people.

So if I understand the character, ML is still in love with his ex girlfriend, so this is weird that he goes after other girls. This is not the womanizer who never knew what love is in the Korean version. I have a hard time getting what ML wants in the Japanese version. Maybe finding solace in other girl's embrace.
I will not condamne the drama, but the way they introduce thing in the first episode just did not made me feel the emotion the k-drama did. Maybe I will see for myself one day, but not sure. Because I have a lot of drama to watch, and time is precious. I would not like to loose my time.

I watch (part of) the first episode and understood that this version would not please me. now I understand why I stopped. They changed completely the drama. What girlfriend ??? o_O.
I don't think they changed for the best. A pity.

To be honest when I watched the first scene, when FL discovers the artwork at the expo. And I realized that this scene was not as good as the k-drama one. (I did not feel sorry for FL, whereas inthe k-drama I felt ashamed for Nabi). I knew I should not watch this.

This is the kind of drama, I would like to be already aired. The wait is a catalyst to my interest for the show. The more I watch it, the more a want to know the rest of the story.

Well... don't fast forward the SML's scene because he says sometimes imortant things (plot points). But yes most of his scenes are irrelevant to me in the second arc.
Of all " 6 screenwriters?! 😱" I wonder how many was hired by SML's management?

No wonder they messed up the story. 6 screenwriters was involved. I suspect SML had a better financial backing so they hired a screenwriter(s) to write more scenes for him. Thus, they dragged the story.
I heard that in the novel, SML's character was not as important as he became in the drama.
But I still like the marvellous acting and the cinematography.

26. Most disappointing drama of 2024
I would say "Kill Me Love Me" because of the second arc.
I still love this drama, but, to me, a whole Xiyan arc was to much. Just few scenes could have done the job very well.
