As I answered with a spoiler tag. I wrongly thought that, this person would look at it and recall his rudness. But I was wrong, because he chose to pick a fight again.
Anyway, I will try to discuss the ending with you.
Let's forget about this misunderstanding. It is all in the past.

I think that, if the directors and screenwriters took the time to name her "Empress", it is for a reason. I don't think they made the maid servants call her Empress just because they randomly refered to her like that or MRJH asked them to do it.

Honestly, I am not surprised they did not show us all those moments you stated :
"- finding the flower
- taking it by Mei Lin
- information that it worked or prolonged her life
- any happy moment of them together after Jing He's coronation"

Why? Because that would give the drama a bright happy ending. And film maker prefer open or sad endings.

I am trying now to find, as I am writing to you, if I can remember a C-drama with a bright happy ending. But I don't find anyone.
looking at my watchlist, I have found : "Melody of golden age"and "Love O2O" . And I am disregarding on purpose that in "Melody of golden age" the sidekicks died.
Consequently, with such an almost inexistent amount of bright happy ending.It appears to be normal that they gave us what seems like a bittersweet ending.

Another thing. It is true that during the drama, we did not watch any scene with a trial. It is as if the trial of Crown prince MRXL was purposefully not shown. But this doesn't mean that he was not trialed.
The crew did not show it. Is it because it was expensive to shoot those scenes ? Did they cut them, like they did with some of Bi Wen Jun's scenes.
No clues.
But we know that the Law was put in practice during Tang Dynasty.
This is why I choose to believe that they respected the law, even if they did not show any trial.

Yes he had beard, that's true, but he wasn't an old man. The coronation happend 5 years later. So MRJH was probably 35 years. It is not an old age, it was maybe because he was crown as Emperor. Because I have never watch any drama where the beard meant the man was a widower.

I understand you. Although I think he developed a weird way of loving her. I agree that he loved her from a very young age.
Like you I was afraid for her safety, because even if she was a warrior, she had a soft spot for him. And he could have easily hurt her.
Luckily he never did. What a relieve. Indeed.
Moreover, thanks Goodness Luo Mei redeemed herself as a warrior, although she kept loving him.
She is a beautiful character. She could have been developed more.

Fanfic means : A story proposed by a fan on the Internet, which follows a pre-existing fiction (novel, manga, film, television series, video game) or constitutes a variation of it.

I don't write any sequel, spin-off or side story of KMLM. As a result, I disagree with you on this assertion :

I am not surprised. The show is just so moving.

I reached Episode 16 ( the love confession + liberation of the miners) .
The most beautiful and epic episode to date.
I was shaking as I was waching this episode. What beautiful show. I don't regret starting it.

@unbeliebubble I'm not here to argue either, I'm trying to educate you. You have this narrow-minded belief that a love triangle is one of a kind and can only be one thing.

You've also completely misinterpreted MDL's definition. MDL states a love triangle is, "The depiction of a romantic attraction or relationship involving three people."

You're completely ignoring the part where it says OR relationship involving three people. If what you say about love triangles is correct, then MDL wouldn't need to add the second part about the relationship involving three people. They would've just stated the depiction of a romantic attraction involving three people. The word "relationship" doesn't always mean romantically. You see, your logic is flawed. It doesn't make any sense.

@unbeliebubble That's wrong. Your second link could've been written by anyone with their own idea of what a love triangle is. That doesn't make it correct.

There are different types of love triangles. You are describing only one version. There needs to be at least three people involved to form a love triangle, and it can go a few ways.

1. B and C likes A, but A only likes one.

2. B and C likes A and A likes both.

3. A likes B, B likes C, and C likes A.

4. B and C likes A, but A doesn't like any of them, but they would have to be constantly together hanging out with each other. This one is not a typical love triangle, but it still involves three people, so it falls under that category.

It's not black and white. There are different types of love triangles. But to deny it as a love triangle is ludicrous. So the next time someone asks about love triangles, they're asking if there are SML's or SFL's involved with the main leads regardless of whether the ML or FL likes any of the second leads.

@unbeliebubble Incorrect. By definition, a love triangle is a situation in which two people both love a third person, regardless of whether that third person has feelings for one or both people. That's a fact. Just google the definition. This is even more apparent in these Asian dramas, because the story is focusing on the relationships of main leads and second leads. Infact, love triangle is in the tags for this drama. I'm sorry, but the western influence on relationships between characters has distorted your definition of love triangles.

If by emotional you mean, feeling disgusted and frightened.
Those are the only emotions this Crown Prince vs Luo Mei couple inspired me.
I was so afraid for Luo Mei watching him circling her and then making a pass at her. It still gives me chills. The main antagonist ( mass murderer) vs the naive SFL (despised girl) . ugh , how scary.
