Hellooo friend I was missing reading ur delightful comments 🤗 haha yes, I prefer sappy romance novels although I am open to any genre. But lately it is hard to decide to read or to watch since my watchlist is soo long. And what about you?
excuse me, bear with me spamming here. I even rewatched ep 5 when attended a wedding on the weekend. I have to…
Lol I feel you, I also need to take a step back or make pauses if something excites me too much (when I watch good dramas I also pause so often) One of my favorite books was paused a half year because the excitement was too much. So yes I can understand your chaotic feelings, WTPR is just that good 😌
Really well written, especially the part about the main leads: "Here’s the thing, making a successful slowburn is tricky but a general rule of thumb is that intimacy needs to grow within every scene." Yes you nailed it, their romance was such a huge let down. Really sad that the immense chemistry from the beginning was not well kept. That wedding kiss had no meaning to me since they didn't show their first kiss. :'(
As always you have found the right words. Totally agree with your review especially with the part about the main couple. Yess indeed the candle light kiss was quite traumatising lol. Was so shocked when they zoomed out, why the hell did they do it?! The first kiss between the leads is always the most important one, that's why I didn't care much anymore for their wedding kiss. Honestly that FL had more spicy scenes with her ex than with the ml.
There was so much sexual tension between the leads at the beginning- really a shame that the producers didn't use it, their fire was just tamed down😕 My biggest disappointment with this drama
I think I'm obsessed. Since last Saturday, I've been watching the infamous final scene in the forest from ep 6 at least once a day. I just can't get the emotional voice of both of them out of my head. This scene will easily go into the hall of fame of Kdrama history
Where are you watching it? I started watching back on YouTube in Oct/Nov. There's 40 eps but it stopped loading…
Maybe the rights were sold and that's why you no longer find it on YouTube I am watching it on Viki. It costs around 5 Euros/month and is compared to Netflix really affordable
I really really hope that he doesn't lose his glasses during his "transformation". Makes me always sad that having glasses is connected with ugliness in Kdramas 🥺
right like she literally cannot speak. csb is killing it. what she "said" to in-a is one of my favorite scenes.…
Yes fully agreed, love her sign language scenes. It is looks really demanding, amazed how hard she worked that those gestures look so elegant and fluent
Female actors are so often overlooked. I remember during all the Lovely Runner hype it was Byeon Woo-Seok getting…
Yes agree! this reminded me also of Lovely Runner. Kim Hye Yoon is compared to Byeon Woo Seok a really veteran in the kdrama industry and he repeated several times that thanks to her he felt so comfortable during their couple scenes...
Chae Soo Bin is wonderful here although she plays a shy and quiet character and with that face it is so convincing that Sa Eon is head over heels in love with her and turns absolutely into berserk modus whenever she is in danger. Absolutely don't know another actress who could replace her.
I've read a few comments claiming that Yoo Yeon Seok's acting skills are what really carry the drama. But WTPR is mostly praised for the immense electrifying chemistry between the main couple, so let's not forget that it takes two people to create that much-vaunted chemistry.
I highly recommend watching this, but in my opinion, it’s not a drama with much romance. That’s probably why…
You are completely right. I am now at ep 8 and my God this sexual tension between both ia unbelievable! It is also understandable that both, especially him, are drawn to each other. Both are so intelligent and are on par, really a power couple. Always looking forward to their scenes. Unfortunately I don't understand Chinese, would love to get those sexuel innuendos you were referring to!
So I started watching this and I am currently at ep 1. Saw a comment yesterday by someone who said that the FL is not pretty: I don't know this actress and although I don't have any east Asian roots I just wanted to mention that I think she looks really gorgeous and unique in her own way. She doesn't fulfill the Chinese beauty ideal but her facial traits are so fascinating. Also I love her nose. Honestly can't stop staring at this actress!
The premise of this show is as absurd as anything I've ever witnessed. Lies and public deceptions on top of more…
Why are you getting worked up so much just because of a drama? You sound so angry. Chill. It is just fiction. People watch dramas to relax and to take break from real life; we know that some things are just for entertainment and doesn't apply on reality. No-one forces you to watch it if it is insulting your intelligence so much.

And regarding your complaints about the nepotism aspect: some other kind users already explained this really well in this thread: https://kisskh.at/article/when-the-phone-rings-continues-to-rise-in-ratings-despite-a-one-week-hiatus#comment-19813378
