No problem! You're not the first heartbroken person on here that I've sent those clips to that has had the same exact response. It's obviously still very much a bittersweet ending but it's nice to know they intentionally hinted and left room for hope.

If you love Bai Lu and Luo Yunxi, I would definitely recommend their other drama together. Love is Sweet, if you haven't already. (and hey, watch it again, if you have!) it's an office romantic comedy, quite fluffy but with a lot of heart. And their chemistry is on fire. (Some of the best on screen kisses i've seen too)

i'm going to be honest, it's been hard finding another drama to fill the hole that TTEOTM left. You probably wont find anything right away, you'll just end up comparing them. and the ones I do recommend won't be quite like TTEOTM (IMO, it's something quite special) But here are a few ones off the top of my head.
Love Between Fairy and Devil (it's more light-hearted but it was cute),
Lost You Forever is a good one (This came out this year. but it has two parts and the second half hasn't aired yet.) Arsenal Military Academy with Bai Lu and Xu Kai. Love like the galaxy. Goodbye my Princess.

I would also like to know. A few have said they have it. I would like to see it too. Can anyone provide links?

I am a Zhang Ruo Nan fan myself. I've watched quite a few of her dramas. I haven't compared her to Bai Lu.

I'm looking forward to this drama for her as much as LYX. I think Zhang Ruo Nan is beautiful and a good actress in her own right. All I said was that that though some people seem a little disappointed by what we've seen, I'm okay with not having overly passionate kisses because its what I was expecting. none of the on screen kisses ive seen from her other dramas have been like that. And that's completely okay... its not a criticism of her or her talent. It's just what ive noticed.

Yeah, I hear you. I mean I would consider myself a solo fan too I guess? I am a fan of Luo Yunxi. On his own, as an individual.

Do I love Yunlu's chemistry and think him and Bai Lu have something very very special on screen? Absolutely.

But I am still a fan of LYX in his own right too which is why ive been following him for years and watching all of his dramas (even the not so good ones 😅 ) so of course i'm always hoping for good scripts and good FL's for him!

Anyway, onwards. Nov 2 is coming! Not long now! 💜

I completely agree that chemistry is more than just kisses. While there was plenty of great passionate kisses in love is sweet, (and tteotm) most of the onscreen chemistry between Luo Yunxi and Bai Lu comes from their other interactions. They are just very believable and electric. Even when they are just looking at each other. Honestly i felt the romance in love is sweet was very strong. Actually one of the strongest aspects of the drama. 🤣 (ill never be over the love confession in the snow) But each to their own.

But none of this means that i think love is panacea will be bad or anything like that. I've been looking forward to it for over a year. I'm sure it will be great!! And sweet and provide many feelings. And ZRN and LYX will be wonderful!

I can't say I was ever expecting deep passionate kisses anyway only because none of the on screen kisses ive seen from Zhang Ruo Nan have been like that. They've all sort of been on the tame side. It's fine though. (Not a criticism, still am definitely a fan of hers! Its just something I noticed)

I don't expect it to reach Love is Sweet levels of romance in my heart (that is a hard one to beat for me in the modern drama department) but im sure they'll be really cute. Can't wait. Bring on Nov 2!

Ruo Nan. Shes cute as hell and I think shes a good actress but most of her on screen kisses that ive seen in other dramas are like this. As I said it's okay and it's what I expected but no it's not at Yunlu level at all 🤣

Agreed. Dont get me wrong, they seem super sweet and im sure in the context of the show the scenes will be lovely. But they are definitely very tame. It's about what I expected.

Obviously it's impossible for me to say for sure as we haven't really seen much of the drama yet. A few minor clips of LIP is not enough for me to say whose chemistry is better (even though it's subjective obviously)

But I sort of agree with you. I'm really looking forward to the drama. Zhang Ruo Nan is adorable and I have no doubt LYX and Zhang Ruo Nan will be great together in their own way, but I really don't think they'll touch YunLu in terms of chemistry. Them two are just lightening in a bottle. But ya never know, I guess.

I hear you, it's not really the ending many of us would have preferred. But I don't personally think he'll be in the heart-guarding scale forever. Obviously, the ending is an open one, so it can be taken that way for those that prefer that. But it hints at the novel's epilogue too. Where, though he didn't think it was possible, his essence was salvaged and he was able to cultivate and heal and be reborn 1,000 years later. Li Susu spends the entire time searching and waiting for him. So, I like to look at the more optimistic side of the open ending haha. Youku released a few clips that kind of validate this possibility too, if you're interested. It sort of eased some of the sadness and ambiguity of the ending for me.

I actually quite liked all the betrayal and angst and pain. I think it was some of the best part's of the drama. 😂 Probably because BL and Luo Yunxi just played it so damn well. I love that kind of stuff. Though it was very toned down from what it was like in the novel. But I get where you're coming from and you're definitely not the only one to feel that way about it!

Yeah. it was weird. I feel like... as there were lots of things cut out of that last arc, there is some kind of progression in that character that we're missing out on a little bit.
