I guess the open ending allows for those to choose to see it as a full "Bad Ending" if they want to. But there are also more than enough implications that he can/will return. It's still sad, but also very hopeful. These extra's validate that. He's still there, and she hasn't given up on him. ♥️

Ah, that's the translator's watermark covering the Youku watermark. The writing on the bottom is from Youku though. But I get ya. I have not seen these particular videos anywhere else. I don't think they've been released on youtube or outside the Chinese Youku app. Maybe they're floating around on Weibo or something. (they probably wont have English subs, but if you just want the video without the watermark I'm sure it won't matter) If I come across them anywhere I'll post the link here.

Yeah, it really helped me too! It just sort of proved that our interpretation of that ending wasn't just wishful thinking. Youku and the actors themselves have linked the idea of him being in the HGS with his return. It's got a very karmic feeling to it. He looked for her for 500 years and now she's done the same. Mourning and waiting for 500 years. Only then can they truly start again. And they will. Even if we don't get to see it.

As I said, Li Susu's very much validates a lot of our interpretations about that open ending imo

Thanks for sharing the MY and SJ ones. They're the only ones I can find on Youtube. The link @Fiona had was the Cang Jiumin/TTJ and Li Susu one. I actually haven't seen that particular one anywhere else except that one person on twitter. Which I saved.

There is a TTJ/Ye Xiwu one too but I haven't found that one around either :( so if anyone has the link for those ones with english subs. please send them through!

It won't let me watch the whole thing, but if it's the Tantai Jin/Cang Jiumin and Li Susu letters then yes. They were released on the Chinese Youku. Not on the international one though. A lovely person on twitter posted and translated it with English subs thankfully. The Li Susu one especially is very beautiful. It very much validates the idea that TTJ in the HGS is hinting at his return and that Susu is waiting for him/searching for him.

Yeah, it's completely understandable that they do hide it, given what they have to go through when they do come out as being in a relationship. It's sad and its unfair. I really don't understand why fans would mock them - it's called ACTING for a reason. Do they want poor performances with no chemistry? I've always found this very odd.

All the same, I still don't see why we can't get some good on-screen chemistry even if the kisses aren't hot stuff. lol. We'll just have to wait and see...

This is how I saw it too. Him picking up on the actresses being reserved with him and acting accordingly. As well as also having a very natural chemistry with BL.

I don't see why Song Yi having a boyfriend/ dating BJT should impact anything. You don't have to have real feelings for someone to have a decent onscreen kiss and act like you want to kiss someone haha. Lots of actors/actresses probably have secret boyfriends/girlfriends while filming that the public doesn't know about.

It doesn't bother me if there aren't passionate kisses though, I just want on screen chemistry. A pairing can have amazing on screen chemistry without any kissing. They can also have amazing chemistry while hating each other in real life. I've seen that many times too.

I also agree about wishing more actresses weren't quite as rigid. As I said, it doesn't need to be open mouthed, french kissing or anything just not the dead fish kissing. lol
Bai Lu always makes her kisses look very natural.

I've watched the BTS of some of his dramas and there's nothing in there specifically that would indicate he's put off or doesn't want to touch them. At least not in my opinion. For example, him smoothing down Cheng Xiao's hair after their kiss scene etc.

But it is clear that the relationship he has with Bai Lu is a lot more free, open and comfortable (and yes, quite touchy feely) than what he has had with his other leading ladies. Unreserved and Less shy. Lulu being so open herself has probably helped foster this dynamic. I think their chemistry does come from a real place of affection and understanding.

It's definitely true most of the kisses haven't been that great in his recent dramas but I wouldn't necessarily say that's on him. More often than not he's kissing them (or at least trying.... professional actor that he is) and they're just not being all that responsive to him. (like in Lie to Love) I think he's been unlucky in that department and just needs to be paired with the right actress.

It's like, okay....fine, it doesn't need to be super passionate open mouthed kissing, but please make it actually seem like you WANT to kiss him. Which Bai Lu always does. Though I suspect it's unlikely we'll get the kind of chemistry he has with BL again. I do hope to we get some decent chemistry in Love is Panacea and Follow your heart

I believe it happened on the very last day of filming. It was apparently an accident. The actor's character punched LYX's character, but the actor didn't pull the punch enough and actually punched him. Whether that's true, I don't know, but if this is true he must have felt terrible about it. Especially as LYX ended up with stitches....

I didn't mind Light Chaser Rescue. It's not a masterpiece by any means but it's one of his better ones. It's enjoyable enough.

It's definitely still on Youku's coming soon list, but there isn't a release for it yet. I've read that October seems like the likely release time for it.

LYX hasn't had the best luck in quality scripts unfortunately. He always does a good job though, even if the drama isn't the best.

I suspect we are heading into a much better era for LYX when it comes to the quality of his dramas. Love is Panacea and the currently filming Follow your heart seem really promising. And I suspect now with the success of TTEOTM, he'll be getting much better offers.
