The drama up until episode 7 was great. The ending of episode 7 was very well done. The drama wanted too much though with too many stories and that ended up bringing the quality down. The love story of the photographer and dentist was waste of space. They should have revealed the POV of female lead before the ending of episode 7 and finish her POV off with her reading the letter and going into the ocean. The drama pretty much should have ended with the last scene of episode 7. The entire scene was perfect as an ending.
This wouldn't be so bad if the drama didn't justify her behavior with excuses and the writer made it at least more realistic. After her BF found out about her having an affair with a 15 year old. The writer has another female character defend her and excuse her behavior.. That's the biggest problem with this drama. Also it's unrealistic as fuck. You are telling me this guy having been cheated on by his GF with a 15 year old is going to turn down fucking a girl way prettier than her afterwards? Yea right. Again bullshit writing.
I just watched the movie and have read the short story it is based on. In the short story the story ends after…
I agree with you but this only works because you know it's a movie and it's set up to look beautiful the way it's filmed etc.. I agree she did it for herself while being high and drunk but from the point of view of MC who is not watching a movie then he's just seeing the girl he likes take her clothes of without problems and dancing a "silly" dance. To me it also seemed like Ben set her up. Ben started the music and it was like he knew that she'd start dancing that way. When he stopped the music then she stopped dancing pretty much right away also. To me it looked like Ben was purposely messing with MC.

She did also have a condom ready and dance topless in front of him and Ben. He didn't think badly of her after she slept with him. He wouldn't have picked her up from the airpot etc. if he did. Or taken care of her cat. I think he thought "badly" of her because she so easily just took off her clothes in front of him and Ben. In his mind she just slept with him and then found another man. The mistake from MC was to berate HM which as you also say is due to jealousy because he actually likes her. MC just went about it the wrong way. He made his comment in a cruel way that hurt HM even if what he said did have some truth in it. That said then men and women both face double standards - just in different ways. I think both MC and HM had reasons for being disappointed. Watching these scenes again made me understand the character of HM a bit more in terms of her behavior with MC. But that doesn't change that she kind of behaved in a way that people would naturally look down upon her - whether or not it's fair. And MC did fuck up his relationship with HM by being insecure instead of just being upfront with HM and ask her about her relationship with Ben and him. And HM should also have been honest about it but I guess they both feared rejection. I guess we wouldn't have had the same movie if either MC or HM had been honest about their feelings..

The female lead was pretty but not more than what you'd expect from an actress (at least to me). I didn't notice the MC "mouth-breathing" but I did notice his huge lips but neither bothered me. That said I actually rewatched some scenes. And Hae Mi character made a bit more sense. Hae Mi kept the watch on her entire trip and had the watch on when she returned. At that point I don't think she considered Ben her boyfriend. She was in love with MC and considered him her boyfriend. In the restaurant she sits beside MC and not Ben. She is also clearly faced towards MC. Then when they or going home Ben asks to drive her home. She looks at MC and I think she hopes for him to drive her and refuse Ben. He however accepts and HM looks at him (maybe with a longing look?). The next time they meet she no longer has the wrist watch on. I guess she took MC not driving her as him not wanting her as GF. The next time they meet she is not wearing the watch anymore. Ben "reads" her palm and mentions that she has a stone in her body that's making life harder for her and making her unable to tell the guy she likes that she likes him. At that moment HM becomes uncomfortable and clearly looks towards MC which indicate MC is the guy HM can't tell her true feelings. When they are cooking at Ben's apartment HM doesn't know the location of the restroom - which indicates she hasn't been there before alone with Ben. The watch wasn't there yet either and HM is no longer wearing the watch. When did Ben get the watch and how? Did he go to her room and take the watch after killing her?

I can answer some of the questions. About the running around. In the short story the MC already ran every morning. In the short story he just changed his route to include the barns (it's barns in the short story). I guess the writer of the movie wanted to keep this in the movie and that's why the MC is also running in the movie. I agree about HM. HM character was not well done in my opinion because she didn't make sense. In the short story she made sense because the MC was married. And as such then she couldn't expect a relationship with him. In the movie the MC was not married. And he clearly gave her the watch which she herself told him to give his GF. The guy did so much for her that she should have caught up on the fact that he liked her. Her coming home with a new boyfriend made no sense to me. The MC comment to her about taking her clothes off was cruel but from his point of view HM was behaving very weirdly. Heck I'd go as far as to say even if this was in a more liberal country then HM would still be considered weird or/and pretty slutty the way she behaved. And pretty much any guy would be mad the way she behaved around MC while being together with Ben. In my opinion this has nothing to do with Korean society by itself. I do think you might be right about HM wanting to be loved as she is but I think she was pretty naive if she expected MC who clearly loved her to be fine with her actions and her flirting with another guy. The movie ended up being enjoyable but like you I also felt some actions by the characters (especially HM) didn't make much sense. HM recognized MC right away which indicate that she thought of him in some way. The movie simply didn't explain the motivations of HM good enough.
Early in the film, gorgeous Hae Mi said to Jong Su "back in junior high the only thing you ever said to me was…
I just watched the movie and have read the short story it is based on. In the short story the story ends after MC visits "Ben" (he is not called Ben in the short story) and Ben tells him the girl thought of him as someone special and someone she trusted. The MC never realizes that Ben killed her - to him she just disappeared. That means the entire story afterwards with MC killing Ben is made up for the movie. I agree that the last meeting between Ben and MC was a bit weird. I guess Ben might have tried to act "oblivious" to the fact that the girl is dead as to not reveal himself. He acted like he didn't know that he killed the girl. The movie explain this about the orange in the beginning. I think that's what Ben was doing. He "forgot" Hae Mi wasn't killed just like Hae Mi "forgot" that the orange wasn't there. About the mother then she's there to confirm that Hae Mi wasn't lying and to show us how MC realize after what has happened to Hae Mi that he shouldn't leave a family member alone when needed help (even if she doesn't deserve that help). Just like the family members of Hae Mi left her to her own. About the cat then I think it's just the writer making it obvious for the viewers that Ben killed Hae Mi. About no body of Hae Mi. Then I think either the body was just burned to the ground or maybe Ben ate Hae Mi. Ben talks about cooking/sacrifice and eating. Maybe Hae Mi was a sacrifice to himself. Ben made enough hints throughout the movie. Ben clearly tells MC that he only burn downs abandoned barns. And he clearly tells MC that it's a barn close to him and that he has come to visit as "preliminary visit" to decide when to burn down the barn. This visit ended up being the trigger. When Ben and Hae Mi are about to leave MC tells Hae Mi she's like a prostitute and at that point Hae Mi (in her mind) had lost everyone and was alone (just look at her face when she hears that). That's the trigger. Before that she wasn't completely abandoned but only nearly. This is what triggers Ben "flooding" Hae Mi without guilty conscience. Hae Mi said she wished she could disappear without trace of ever existing. I guess Ben underestimated MC and had expected MC to abandone Hae Mi after that night the same way Hae Mi expected MC to abandone her. He didn't though and that's why Ben ended up dying because he burned a barn that hadn't been abandoned. I think the movie had one major problem though. That is Hae Mi. In the short story MC is married which explain why the girl couldn't start something serious with him and find "love". In the movie MC is not married and there is no reason why Hae Mi couldn't have started something with him if she trusted him and considered him special. He clearly loved her. Why would she start a relationship with Ben and still be around MC as if she wanted to be with him? That made no sense to me. Did she only want him as a friend? But if that was the case why did Ben say that he only burns someone elses barn? That seems to indicate Hae Mi was not in a serious relationship with him and also since Hae Mi told MC to give the wrist watch to his GF and was still wearing that watch then that also indicate Hae Mi had MC in her heart. Hae Mi character just didn't make sense to me and I don't think the writer explained her character good enough. Also why did Ben underestimate MC and consider HM abandoned when MC clearly tells him he loves HM? He did not hear MC compare HM to a prostitute. The only explanation I have is that HM might have indicated later that she was all alone now. But that seems a bit weak to me.
The music is the best part of the movie. The movie itself turned a bit too melodramatic. I wouldn't say it was a bad movie but it wasn't anything special. The theme song is very very good though.
The movie was great. I just wished the writer had decided on letting the father shoulder his secret alone instead of having the father reveal this to the mother. If the movie instead had shown only us (the viewers) the flashbacks after the wife had accused him of never doing anything for A-Ho. That would have been more powerful I think.
You are the one being illogical here. Why would he sue her for slander when it's hard as fuck to prove. In her…
You are wrong. Just because KSH "hurt" her and adviced an abortion doesn't mean he's guilty and not "innocent". He can still be innocent of the claims made against him. There is a difference between giving your opinion (that she should have an abortion) and coercing someone to have an abortion. As long as he didn't force her or threatened her then her claims are wrong. But even if he didn't force her he's still getting fucked by the public if she had some evidence of him suggesting her having an abortion because people in Korea consider it immoral and because a good deal of people will make the leap and take this as proof that he coerced her even if he didn't. He and his agency knows that and therefore made him apologize for "hurting" her and disappointing fans even. He didn't admit to coercing her. I never said he was innocent of "hurting" her. I said him apologizing does not mean he forced her to have an abortion as she claimed. If the evidence is taken out of context then the evidence do not show that he coerced her - that's a wrongful claim... If you actually believe that telling or suggesting someone to have an abortion is similar to coercing then I don't know what to say..
You are the one being illogical here. Why would he sue her for slander when it's hard as fuck to prove. In her…
"In other words, the roles are reversed... If the plaintiff claims that the defendant committed libel against him by writing a nasty post and slandered him by sharing false information with her peers, according to Article 310, if the defendant cannot prove her claims were true, then she has already lost the case. "
The prosecutor has to prove that what she said was false and not the other way around. And since the guy is a celebrity (a public person) having (accoding to her) made a crime it already falls under "public interests" unless she's specifically admits she's just doing it for revenge. Also just to end up this. In Korea this falls under "criminal case". The police/prosecution is the one deciding whether to sue or not. This is not something KSH decides. He can report it to the police but after that it's their decision. What matters is his reputation. At the end of the day the woman did have an abortion and whether you accept it or not then that's in general considered immoral in South Korea. And once that woman has already claimed that she was talked into this by KSH he's already fucked because a decent amount of people will just believe her. And lets get one thing clear. He didn't apologize for a crime. He never admitted to any crime. He only apologized for "hurting" her. Also you got no clue what KSH knew about the information that woman might have had. He might actually think she had a secret recording of him telling her to get an abortion or messages proving he asked her to get an abortion. If he actually did asks her for this (which might be the case) then he's even more fucked if he doesn't apologize right away. Also him asking her to get an abortion is obviously not a crime but if proof of that gets out then he's going to get heat if he hadn't apologized. If this gets out now he's already apologized by his own "free will" and will get less harsh treatment.
You are the one being illogical here. Why would he sue her for slander when it's hard as fuck to prove. In her…
Again you got no clue how this works. KSH is the accuser and not the girlfriend. KSH need to prove that she lied which he can't. There is no way in hell he's going to win that libel court case unless he has evidence of her lying and how would he have evidence of him not saying or saying whatever that happened in the past? Also if he didn't apologize this would be turning into him having a public "fight" with a woman who just had an abortion. With a "he said - she said" situation. There is no way in hell his agency is going to let him take that fight. The easiest and safest way is to apologize for "hurting" her and hope the truth comes out by itself as what is happening now.
Do you really think he wrote this "apology"? He didn't. I can bet you he was told by his agency or his agent to…
I found this myself because of coincidence also. In all honesty I couldn't care less I just find it weird how so many people actually seem to think he wrote that apology himself. But yea in stories like these usually the truth is in the middle. The girl is probably telling half truths that make herself seem a victim and in the right. While the guy probably was not totally innocent but not as bad as she's made him seem.
You are the one being illogical here. Why would he sue her for slander when it's hard as fuck to prove. In her…
You obviously got no clue. They 100% will force him to apologize because it's more easy and nothing about this can be proven. He never apologized for "coercion and pressuring". He just apologized for "hurting" her whatever that means. Also you got no clue how court cases works. There is no way in hell anyone would sue someone for libel unless they had proof they were lying which he wont have no matter what. When you sue for libel then you have to prove the other person is lying and if you can't then you lose the case. If he lose the case people will think she was telling the truth but that's not how court cases works. He approved it because he was told to do so. And the world don't know better because we weren't there. The information revealed of the ex-girlfriend shows that she's probably no better than him. This is pretty much just a broken down relationship with one party (the girl) unable to accept that and move on.
So he admitted he was at fault due to his ‘incompetence and lack of consideration’ WTF does that mean? Obviously…
Do you really think he wrote this "apology"? He didn't. I can bet you he was told by his agency or his agent to post this apology he was given by them.
I'm so confused by how illogical the comment section is. The girl accused KSH of coercing her into an abortion.…
You are the one being illogical here. Why would he sue her for slander when it's hard as fuck to prove. In her own eyes she might considered him having coerced her into getting an abortion. That doesn't mean he did or didn't. How is he going to prove this in court. He will never win this case because nobody knows what was said and done between them. The court will rule not enough evidence and he'll have lost money and time on this for no reason. Also do you think he wrote this damn apology himself? He didn't. His agency did and told him to pass it on as his own words. You are naive as fuck if you think he honestly wrote this apology and wasn't "forced" into this by his agency/agent.
