four the fans

a solid six ,three. i watched episode ⅩⅩⅪ like a day earlier so what i remember being there wasn’t entirely clear ,for even the second part i watched just before this even. as a fan i do enjoy the extra content but i don’t think it was entirely better. there were some really weird inclusions where i felt like we were just adding scenes to add them ,for instance asking yamada if he has a switch like he’d say yes ???& then the physical education teacher seemed weirdly worse of an actress here ?& i don’t remember if they fixed any of the key moments i remember being EXTREMELY choppy when i watched the original airring version. except for when the kamen rider club join kengo & reaching out to kisaragi. that was still weirdly abrupt fokeio9wkiiidqw. so yeah thiks isn’t like particularly better than the version we got but i liked it as a fan !while also being weirded out ,asa fan

Readying to take on the capital

Ye Li rescues Guo Jin from a bird that was trapped in her room. They ended up having a chat where Guo Jin wants Ye Li’s opinion of her guilt or innocence in certain matters. Ye Li answers truthfully and candidly. She acknowledged the good things Guo Jin’s reign had accomplished. She also made it plain that choices had consequences and even acts of merit does not outweigh human suffering and loss. Merit vs failings is not always a good judgment weight scale. Corruption and abuse of power also needed weighed in when considering the welfare of the people. She must have passed Guo Jin’s loyalty test because she was allowed to return home the next day. Ning actually finds JingLi and they are in his mother’s hometown. She wants him to not go to battle but for them to settle there and live a happy peaceful life. He tells her what a calculating person he had always been and that the fire in the East Palace that killed his father waylaid all his plans. He has her hauled away and trampled the flowers she’d shown him. He can’t make it plainer he will not divert from his path nor relinquish his obsession with Ye Li. Prince Ding has been successful in routing out JingLi’s men and closing in on JingLi’s location. Duo has killed himself to avoid prosecution and JingLi has sped up his plans for the capital. Under the guise of the lantern festival, they are going to return the favor of fire. He has people positioned in the city with his master map maker outlining the best areas to wreak havoc and panic with the people. They plan to poison the guards so the gate will remain locked preventing Prince Ding entrance to assist with the capital’ s destruction. Jingli plans to go right to the palace and personally take care of Guo Jin and her son. The emperor has a good chat with the duke where he questions his fitness to rule. The duke tells him that very questioning is what make his a good ruler. He encourages the youth to make good use of the wise and capable ones in his court. He refers him to Prince Ding and official Gu. We can only hope he chooses to not repeat the wrongs of his mother. The city that had been criticizing Prince Ding and accusing him of being a traitor now sing his praises to high heaven. Everybody is looking forward to their victorious return in four days. Jingli plans to attack on day three. The city is not aware of the fires just yet and fortunately Ye Li knows something is off and sending the family home. Preview shows that she and JingLi will have a battle of swords. I just want them to have the gate accessible so help can arrive.

So many questions....

Hu Jiaping seems like an even more suspicious character now. To my eye—not sure if I'm correct, though—it looked like he didn't want Lifei's power to be exposed, and... in the previous episode, he wanted to diminish the demonic power his spy sensed. Did he have some entanglements with both the Flower Fairy and the Demon Lord in the past? And was the lady in the painting he erased Lifei? I couldn't tell with certainty. But it gives me the vibe that the Flower Fairy could be someone he loves and wants to protect... I don't know. But I am quite sure he faked that spell to find the tower's aura. 🧐Also, Zong Quan pointing out that there was "that traitorous cultivator" makes me question if he was thinking of the Flower Fairy? And maybe it's because she was in cahoots with the Demon Lord? Zong Quan is so fixated on her! 🙄🤦‍♀️On another note, I'm not sure if the three-bond way is the safest option for them. If one dies, do all of them die? Or do the others just feel the pain? 🤔😦

Victory via defeat

Princess Li now knows JingLi is alive and is determined to see him, it is unclear why she is so devoted to him, but she is even knowing that she and Ye Li’s husbands are on opposite sides in this battle. Ye Li tried to dissuade her but stubbornness runs deep in Ye women. They hug each other goodbye and both take their respective paths. The court is led by the old and the cowardly so there is not a strong military presence there. It is best argued to keep them in one force to save on supplies and be at highest strength, but there is dissension worrying that Prince Ding having military might could easily join forces with JingLi and defeat the young Emperor. Once Prince Ding was healed that could have been accomplished long ago had that been the objective. 😝The emperor is making decent headway in his own decisions, but he is still honestly just a kid that understands the theory of war and strategy but no practical life experience as to the realities of the theories. His mother has returned and the Duke had a meeting with her about Lishan. He point blank asks her if she set up Lishan to die with her troops and mysterious outbreak. She denies it and points to him as being the last visitor there. Whether or not she personally handled Lishan, the Marquis was given cart blanche to handle perceived enemies to the throne as he saw fit. She even told her son that’s how she handled things in her youth. Not considering the consequences until later in life and then wondering if worth the cost. The Duke sounds like he is at death’s door and is encouraged to go home and not worry about court proceedings. They both become aware that the emperor heard their conversation. He still doesn’t completely trust Prince Ding. This is more due to his bias from long standing falsehoods about what happened with edict. He now has to wade thru the murky waters left in the wake of his mother’s and Marquis’ scorched earth approach to kill first and ask questions later. Unfortunately there is no good counsel for him because the reliable sources are old and infirm or silenced by death. Guo Jin takes matters into her own hands by ‘asking Ye Li to come stay at the palace. Her letter to Prince Ding lets him know what’s been happening at the capital, They have a beautiful way of reading between the lines to get to the heart of the matter. He knows his wife is being held hostage and rumors have the court doubting his loyalties. Gu is hunting down the rumor source but the damage has been done. What was the best news is their feint of defeat has lulled JungLi into a sense of security. He is prepping to take over the pass not realizing a healthy force will be ready and waiting to hold him back. The emperor does not deserve Prince and Princess Ding. 😝Fortunately they care for the people of Dachu in spite of the doubts cast their way.

Jiang Shu is Finally Unmasked!

This episode is absolutely hilarious! But besides all the comedy, there’s also so much suspense. And the moment we've been waiting for so long—Jiang Shu is finally unmasked! But seriously, why did they only show us his eyes and mouth?!

Ticket to Heaven Ep 5

Episode 5 completely broke my heart. What stayed with me the most wasn't the dialogue—it was everything left unsaid. Fourth's performance felt incredibly natural; you could see Tanrak's inner conflict in every glance and moment of silence. It made his struggle feel real and deeply human. The chemistry between Gemini and Fourth continues to be the show's strongest asset. Their scenes don't rely on dramatic romance, yet every interaction carries so much emotion that you can't help but root for them. The direction and cinematography also deserve praise for creating such a quiet, intimate atmosphere that lets every emotion sink in.(Episode 5 made me feel more than it tried to impress me. It's beautifully restrained, emotionally honest, and leaves you thinking about the characters long after the episode ends)

Three Stars

I get Se Gye's feelings 100% he's happy with someone for the 1st time in his life and he has to dwal with the soul swap BS. I was glad though that Seo Ri just told him that she would be leaving soon and she wouldnt be "ghosting him" per se. Also, pissed about the convenient amnesia that the grandfather has. Anyway, I love the actor playing Se Gye he's very good here. Like emotionally resonant. LikeI can see why a woman would fall in love with this character/actor.

Honestly annoyed they killed the girl because I was hoping she'd become part of the team somehow. I'm guessing the ex cop is the 2nd guy the profiler worked with that he said he hope to never see again so I wonder what his story is

Some people should never become parents

Wen's mother actually took the money that was meant for her daughter... Really?! 😲 And now she's setting conditions for Wen not to disturb her, claiming the money was hers all along... Now I'm even starting to question if the father had actually died without help. Did he, Wen's mother? Did he really?! 😠😡It's quite upsetting to see how Xixiao and Wen can't trust each other with their deepest secrets. I know they might not be at that stage yet, but they make such an amazing team when they work together! Wen using him definitely won't help matters, though. Are these the big lies that split them apart for 10 years? 🤔😟Xixiao's father is also on my blacklist. I absolutely can't stand that man. 😤

Much improved direction and editing over the prior episode. Unfortunately this episode sees the start of an annoying, contrived separation of the leads - so stereotypical of c-dramas to keep bringing them together and then separating them - but makes up for it a bit with the way Song Mo has his men still helping her, 'in secret'.

Overall plot was fine, but editing of this episode was weird and choppy and made it look like the plot was hand-waving over a lot of key details.
