Wow, with her awakening power, Lifei is starting to spread a very noticeable scent! At first, only Xiuyuan could smell it, but now the Prince can too? I wonder if that's related to how strong their relationship is with her, or maybe it has something to do with their own power? Because some people haven't noticed it yet. 🤔And that scene in the restricted area? Did Xiuyuan try to bite her, smell her, or kiss her neck? If it's the latter, then the scene was much more sensual than it looked! 😯 If things continue this way, he won't be able to hold out much longer... 😬 Lifei should really mask that scent somehow, otherwise the whole world will either want to possess her, kiss her, or kill her! There won't be any in-between. 😟So, the lady from Wuyue Court is actually the Demon Lord's devoted and loyal servant, who woke up a couple of episodes ago! An ally at least! 👆✨

They are wishing her well and telling her she has done well. Her Gpa tells her it’s time to let the past go and look to the future. Guo Jin told her son not to follow the same path or be bogged down by the past. He publicly posted and condemned his mother’s crimes but posthumously for her. This allowed him to be filial sin and unbiased ruler. I have mixed feelings about how this was handled, but it is clear he will not pursue the ends justifies the means path his mother chose. The candid talk between Ye Li and Guo Jin brought truth to Empress Dowager. She was made to see how her choice for building roads was most hurtful to the farmers. Her choice about the fire killed innocents and caused all the mess with the edict and troops to happen. Her soldiers at the school that denied them food and med supplies. Her plans did have the big picture in mind but done in the most callous way possible to harm those in the way of those plans. Ye Li calmly explaining why she never tried to kill her in the palace. She still claimed YeLi’s mom as best friend even tho responsible for her death. Princess LingYun is truly dead 😭 and spy Feng will have to make do with his travels. Consort Jin must still be at home with her father. We weren’t told if Jin Cang found Lin TingLan or ran into his brother and made peace. I did not see uncle or what new mischief he’s causing. These few things I wish they would have mentioned, but overall the ending done quite well. 👏🏻

The old guard holds the line and becoming a solitary piece

JingLi’s forces are setting fires and causing havoc. MingXi and FeiBai take care of them. Unfortunately, their flour fire added to the chaos. The Duke met JingLi’s forces and was offered a chance to make justice for the East Palace. The Duke called him a rebel and that he would not be entering. He held the line til Ye Li showed up to greet JingLi. She called him out for setting fires and killing innocents so how could he consider himself worthy to rule. He refuses to back down and as her sword breaks and things looking grim, Prince Ding arrives with his halberd to take in the rebel prince. They fight head to head and JingLi continues to not back down. He wants to know if Ye Li can kill him. She doesn’t respond but the archers do. I am wondering how they could be in a circle formation and not shoot each other as well as JingLi?🧐 They do not show what happens immediately after the battle. The good part was Prince Ding not called a rebel for coming in and taking care of JingLi. There is a 5 mth time gap and Prince Ding is back to Suixue pass taking care of the remnant of JingLi’s army. Ms Wen has taken it upon herself to force Ye Li to be sociable. Mr Tang is too good at his job so she no longer oversees Shende shop. She is talking to Master Xu in a life sized go board and told by her master to not become a solitary piece. She comments to a young girl playing that the stone’s placement would become a solitary piece and should be avoided but the girl responded that’s how the manuals teach. He Li feels herself drifting and is obsessively taking care of a flower. I wish I knew what kind it was. She feels her connect with her husband fading and decides to do something about it. He is finishing up his command and getting ready to turn things over. He plans to head to the palace the next day. His comrades tease him about missing a letter from home when his wife shows up at the gate. He is stunned to see her and she immediately jumps into his arms making his men grin at their meeting. Xiu Yao questions his wife who pretends she forgot her way to the pass and he called her out for her story. He is very unhappy she traveled so far alone while simultaneously very happy to see her. She mentions standing in a line becoming a solitary piece and he has no idea what she’s talking about. Maybe she will fill him in the next time they play chess. She tells him about Ms Wen looking out for her by dragging her to teas and making her head hurt with too many hairpins. 🤣😂He is taking the time to listen and renew their ties recognizing she is feeling lost without them. Guo Jin is quite ill and the emperor is dragging feet bringing her to justice. Ye Li still has her doll but opts to give the emperor more time to do something. I am hoping the last episode has them both at home.

yeah i saw that coming as soon as i he said he’s not only getting married but ALSO having a baby. THAT’s A LITTLE TOO HAPPY FOR A SHOW ABOUT MOURNING. i have to let this case resolve itself before i articulate how i feel about the police mystery part of this show. i can ，maybed not confidently ，say i think the ghost grand+father is okay. i think because we generally are an older audience it feels less silly to have these random supernatural moments. i am interested in the explanation of how he can see this person he virtually is not related to ，currently. i do like how much of this show spun to center the family. we also got enough time to breathe & stress over them before we actually dealt with each of them & i think this was pretty enjoyable so far. have my fang+ups but this is a really solid show at the rest of it.
