MY first BL
This is my first BL to watch, and I can’t believe I loved it more than all the straight dramas I’ve seen. I decided to watch it because I saw many videos of them on TikTok and felt their amazing chemistry. But when I started watching it, I realized how deep and complex the story was and how different the world felt.Omegaverse is a rare genre for BL fans, and for someone like me who usually watches straight dramas, it’s even rarer. The unique story, the characters, and the incredible actors all came together to make me love this show and become completely obsessed with it. I’m really looking forward to their next project, which will definitely be my next BL. I don’t think I can move on from this series until their next drama with the same actors.
Always with Desire4.

Finally Found My Long-Lost Fave
Another blast from my tween years. Romantic Princess still hits that sweet spot of nostalgia and daydreams. I swear, it’s one of Wu Chun’s best shows (and Calvin Chen’s dimples? I simply cannot). Watching it again feels like being a tweenager all over, swooning over fictional princes and fairytale setups.Story-wise, it’s got that dreamy, delulu energy, very Meteor Garden or Boys Over Flowers-coded, with four boys and one main girl (though not everyone’s romantically involved). It’s cohesive, fun, and not too long, just the right balance of drama, fluff, and emotional pull. Everyone’s stubborn, sure, but their motivations make sense, and you can’t help but root for them.
I’ve rewatched this one too many times to go through it again soon, but it’s definitely a drama I’ll always treasure. Romantic Princess is one of those shows that stays in your heart, glitter and all.
📌 Watch this if you love nostalgic, fairytale-style dramas that make you feel like a lovestruck tween all over again.

Unmasking the Hidden Truth : Ambition, Deception, and the cost of Redemption & Second Chances
When popular broadcast anchor Xu Yan (Zhao Lusi) married the urban elite Shen Haoming, they were the public picture of a perfect power couple. But their union was built on a careful, polished lie—a mask Xu Yan wore to survive her controlling husband's high-society world. Love's Ambition is not about how they fell in love; it's about the explosive, must-see moment she tears that mask off and walks away, forcing the elite, controlling husband to confront his own deception. Zhao Lusi doesn't just act in this drama; she delivers a career-defining, raw performance, complete with an iconic, non-repeating wardrobe, that demands attention from the very first frame. If you thought you knew Zhao Lusi, this performance will redefine her as one of the most compelling dramatic forces on screen today. This phenomenal lead performance didn't just meet expectations—it absolutely blew them away, making this show a highly satisfying watch.✦ What the Story is About
The drama centers on Xu Yan, a highly popular broadcast anchor, and Shen Haoming, an urban elite, who appear to be the perfect power couple. However, their marriage is built on complicated foundations. Due to her difficult background, Xu Yan carefully crafted a "polished" personal history to integrate into Shen Haoming's upper-class world. Shen Haoming enters the marriage believing he can control Xu Yan, thinking her lower standing makes her compliant. The story is a high-stakes, dramatic pursuit where personal ambitions collide with hidden truths. When conflicts arise and the dynamic of control becomes unbearable, Xu Yan breaks free, leaving Shen Haoming without looking back. This shocking separation forces Shen Haoming to realize that he genuinely fell deeply in love with the real Xu Yan beneath the mask, leading him on a determined path to win her back and uncover their true selves.
✦ Sharp Pacing and The Slow Burn of Chemistry
What makes "Love's Ambition" highly engaging is its sharp pacing. Unlike many slow-burn urban dramas, this show dives quickly into the intricacies of the fake marriage, allowing the major conflict (the separation) to happen early. This structural choice shifts the focus away from light romance and toward the high-stakes emotional drama of rebuilding a life and pursuing genuine love. The "chemistry" between the leads is subtle and reserved, which some viewers might find underwhelming, but in the context of two guarded people wearing professional masks, it feels deliberate. The show asks the audience to wait for the connection until the characters are ready to be authentic, making the eventual emotional breakthrough highly anticipated.
✦ A Polished Production: OST and Supporting Cast
The overall production quality matches the high-society setting. The cinematography is clean, and the set designs feel appropriately luxurious. The Original Soundtrack (OST) is a notable highlight, featuring tracks that amplify the emotional intensity of the drama. Listeners will recognize powerful voices, including Shan Yichun (with the song "Loved Like Fireworks") and Eric Chou (contributing tracks like "Take My Time" and "Me And You"), whose songs perfectly underscore the themes of complicated love and ambition. Furthermore, the supporting cast provides solid foundations, with special recognition to Wan Peng as Qiao Lin, whose character moments offer necessary perspective and sometimes comedic relief from the main couple's intense dynamic.
✦ Raw Emotion : Xu Yan Defining Character Arcs ( I liked these powerful character driven moments )
Zhao Lusi’s ability to portray a strong, yet deeply scarred character made several scenes truly iconic:
- The Confrontation: The emotional scene where Xu Yan confronts her family, particularly her father, about the years of neglect and emotional abuse she endured. This moment brilliantly showcases Zhao Lusi's dramatic range, transforming her outward composure into raw, heart-wrenching pain.
- The Power Flip: Any moment where Xu Yan uses her intelligence and quick thinking to turn the social tables on the wealthy elite (like the scenes with her Mother-in-Law’s social circle). She is the definition of a "no-BS" woman who cleverly secures opportunities, demonstrating her character's formidable ambition.
- The Emotional Breakdown: While her emotional endurance is key, her full-blown crying scenes—where the elegant facade finally cracks—are deeply impactful, making you feel every bit of her struggle.
Zhao Lusi's acting in this drama is truly great. She manages to convey complex emotions with a natural sincerity that is instantly engaging. Her crying scenes, in particular, feel incredibly real and raw, ensuring the emotional beats of the story hit home powerfully. It’s clear that she commits fully to every character who portrays, always delivering her absolute best.
Beyond her performance, the visual presentation of her character was a genuine highlight. The styling team deserves major praise, as Lusi’s wardrobe was an absolute treat for the eyes! It felt like she didn't repeat a single outfit, and the attention to detail extended to her hair, which seemed different and beautifully styled in every single episode. This commitment to fresh, stunning aesthetics throughout the series added so much to the viewing experience.
As for the leading male actor, he was certainly okay in his role, providing solid support to the narrative. However, the true magnetic force and ambition of the show rested squarely on Lusi’s shoulders.
Overall: If you are a fan of Zhao Lusi, or just appreciate an actress who truly embodies and elevates her character with both emotional depth and dazzling style, "Love's Ambition" is a must-watch. It’s a compelling drama elevated by a career-defining turn from its leading lady.
Thank you for reading all the way to the end! ♥♥♥

Introducing a new love rival after the big break-up episode is certainly a choice......
If you've seen enough of these romance dramas, you already know to expect the dreadful break-up episode. However, I have to say, this is by far the worst break-up episode I've ever seen.It already made no sense; FL knows ML would never do something without reason. He's known to be a great investor, with a spotless track record. He's invested in you, in your company and staff. After she found out about his secret company (her competitor, although she kept denying that, stating they had different goals), her thinking immediately went to betraying him. Why do this? She already asked him this question before; "Would you destroy me (my company) too if I got in your way?" and he said, "No, I won't!". After she betrayed him, he still fought to save her and her company, incurring a loss (his old company shares) in exchange for her company shares. She nearly destroyed her own company with her own hands, and he saved it. He then tried to hand the shares back to her, telling her she can still be in charge of her own company, if she wants. She refused!? Called him heartless, manipulative, a hypocrite...... Huh?!..... for stopping her from destroying her company!? What??
Anyway, to a certain degree I can understand it. She felt betrayed and wanted to betray him back. She didn't know any better. Since she just recently started a new company, she's still prone to bad influences and bad decisions. I'll allow it. But what I absolutely cannot forgive is, somehow the writers decided, this would be the perfect time to introduce another love rival for FL. Right after the big break-up with ML. It baffles me that they thought this was a good idea. This single decision nearly made me drop this entire drama on the spot, as soon as he showed up. Our ML is shown heart-broken, nearly drinking himself to death, while our FL is happily enjoying dates in Germany with the new guy. Way to almost ruin the entire drama for everyone. I'm glad at least FL rejected the new guy bluntly to his face, but imagine I never continued watching to see that happen. As they were dragging out their scenes quite long before that finally happened.
All in all, aside from those moments, I thoroughly enjoyed this drama. ML and FL had some fantastic romance scenes & chemistry. That bonus episode too, was absolutely amazing, and exactly what I've been waiting to see after watching so many 'happily ever after' romance dramas. It was refreshing to finally see a true happy ending in action, and not just words being thrown at you before the credits roll.

Scenery, songs and director’s work were exceptional!
*Storyline*The story of Immortal Ascension is mainly about Han Li’s journey and his growth.
I especially love the first half of Immortal Ascension where he was with his best friend Zhang Tie. He also met his first master Physician Mo Ju Ren and Miss Mo (Mo Cai Huan), he was admitted to the Yellow Maple Valley and met his first mentor, Wu Mian. I found the relationship of Han Li and those characters very well developed and touching. To me, the first half of the series had a great balance of happy and sad moments. It was filled with great memories but also, loss and separations. We also got to discover Han Li’s personality, his qualities and flaws.
*Acting*
Of course, Yang Yang did a wonderful job as Han Li. In the series, maybe 90% of the scenes were with Yang Yang. However, I didn’t get tired of seeing him. He was funny at times, he also could express his emotions very well. In many scenes, he didn’t talk much, but he could express gratitude, respect, love, happiness and sadness to perfection.
The other actors also gave a great performance. I especially like the veterans’ acting, such as Li Nai Wen (as grandmaster Li Hua Yuan), Ada Liu (as Hong Fu) and Wang Tong Hui (as sect leader Zhong). This trio from the Yellow Maple Valley was a pleasure to watch. Also, Chin Shih Chieh who portrayed Physician Mo Jun Ren was excellent as always.
*Favorite moments*
I love all the scenes with Han Li and his best friend Zhang Tie (portrayed by Hu Yu Xuan). I also love the scenes with Han Li and his first mentor at Yellow Maple Valley, Wu Mian (portrayed by Wang Guan). To me, these relationships were pure and sincere. His best friend Zhang Tie liked him unconditionally and only wished his best. The actor Hu Yu Xuan, who portrayed his best friend, was excellent and adorable! It was dramatic when he was killed and made as a robot without any emotion because the character was initially lively and was always talking and smiling.
Han Li’s first mentor at Yellow Maple Valley was the first adult character that truly cared for him and accepted him for who he was and welcomed him warmly. It was touching when Han Li had flashbacks of their best moments after his first mentor’s death.
Also, Han Li and his master Li Hua Yuan, portrayed by Li Nai Wen, had many great scenes together. His master was an important character in Han Li’s growth. He gave Han Li all the elements (all the techniques books), the advice and the support he needed. Before his master died, he even came to save Han Li’s life and, to say farewell to him.
There were also good scenes between Han Li and other female characters. However, to me, Han Li’s romance wasn’t the focus of “Immortal Ascension”.
*Bonus: scenery, songs and the director’s work*
Personally, the scenery, the songs and the director’s work made this “Immortal Ascension” exceptional!
The scenery was truly breathtaking! The scenes in the Yellow Maple Valley were beautiful.
The songs were all excellent. They were well chosen. The song by Tang Wei Wei was my favorite. This singer has very strong and beautiful voice!
The director’s work was outstanding! The director (Mrs. Yang Yang) was perfect! I discovered her and loved her in the series “Ever Night”! She again impressed me here in “Immortal Ascension” with her choice of actors, songs and scenery! The story was interestingly told and fast paced. I had the same feeling as when I watched “Ever Night” (Part 1). She could make the scenes very solemn. She is particularly excellent at the farewell scenes. These scenes leave me a lot of sadness and are hard to forget. I still remember the farewell scene in “Ever Night” with Ning Que (portrayed by Arthur Chen) and Mo Shan Shan (portrayed by Yuan Bing Yan). Mrs Yang Yang did bring me the same sadness here in all Han Li’s farewell scenes. “Immortal Ascension” reflected her style in which everything was made to the perfection!

A bl portraying insides of a gay relationship along with fluff.
I really liked this. Probably the best one with happy ending after we best love. In most friends to lovers troupe the one getting the confession just goes along with it without having feelings and in most bls they just brush it off but in here they actually talked about it. Happy that they talked about complexity of coming out especially to family members you love. The fluff and bits of taking care of a child just melted my heart.Actors did a great job especially with intimate scenes. Loved all of their relationship dynamic especially with their friend. And the final scene of MC sticking up for himself and ML making up his relationship with his father was perfect. A good bl with realistic harder ships that couples have to go through alongside with stepping out to the society.
Taiwan did a great job with this and so happy to see Asian bls making such a good series! Let's go bl industry ~

A story about a genie with a twist. They packed in quite a bit of information but for me the thread of thought was easy to comprehend and made enough sense. Then you have a psychopath finds his lamp and their story begins to unfold with secrets and dangers coming to the surface.
To knock some points off I'd say there were two things that were unexplored or bothered me. First is Ga Yeoung's mother and family and them telling her they died just to abandon her. There is a bit of a plot hole here for me as the grandmother's longing for her daughter that is obviously selfish and also abandoned her mother with Ga Yeoung was hard to relate to. Then the feelings that Choi Min Ji developed for the grandmother in her younger state felt uncomfortable to me as well and added nothing to the narrative.
Otherwise I really enjoyed binge watching this and found myself laughing often and crying there at the end. I definitely recommend it for a fun watch.

Many asked me to DESCRIBE my rating, here it is. The budget for this series is 0 in the first two episodes, everything was shot in some heath or desert without a single Baht invested in the series with 4 ungraded actors who by the way can't act. The appearance of a lady and another gentleman does not count. The script has no substance, no message or lesson. Do you want me to write more? Better not...

Refreshingly brill!
What a refreshing surprise this drama turned out to be. Legend of the Female General is a well-balanced mix of sharp storytelling, heartfelt emotion, and genuine chemistry between its leads.Xiao Jue, played brilliantly by the male lead, is everything I wish more C-drama generals were—smart, strategic, and actually human. He’s tough when he needs to be but also gentle, proud, angry, kind. No cold, emotionless “robot” pretending to be cool. Just a real person with real feelings.
He Yan, on the other hand, completely won me over. When I read the synopsis, I expected a stiff “warrior woman” with no personality beyond being strong. Instead, we got someone funny, quick-witted, brave, and sincere. She’s compassionate without being naïve and strong without being stubborn. She can command soldiers one moment and make you laugh the next. She’s everything a good heroine should be.
Their relationship? So good. The chemistry is real, the buildup is natural, and the kisses—thankfully—don’t look like two people bumping faces for half a second. They feel like adults in love, not teenagers in a fairytale. I also loved how Xiao Jue figures out He Yan’s secret early on and reacts calmly, with understanding instead of melodrama.
Another huge win is how the drama treats women. It never puts other women down to elevate He Yan. In fact, she supports them, and they support her back. It also respects feminine skills like painting or embroidery, showing that strength isn’t only found on the battlefield.
At 36 episodes, it never really drags. The palace politics are smartly written, and the story stays focused on our leads without unnecessary filler. Overall, Legend of the Female General is everything I wanted from a historical C-drama—fun, emotional, empowering, and romantic without ever being cringey.

A fast-paced blend of mystery, politics, and comedy set in Joseon’s royal court.
*The King’s Case Note* is an unexpectedly fun mix of mystery, humor, and royal politics — a refreshing twist on the historical genre. The story follows a young and curious king who secretly investigates cases within his palace and across the kingdom, joined by a clumsy but good-hearted scholar. Together, they uncover secrets, conspiracies, and plenty of comic situations. What makes this film special is its tone — it’s light and witty, yet layered with clever political intrigue and emotional moments.
Lee Sun-kyun shines as the intelligent, mischievous king — he’s charming, unpredictable, and full of charisma. Ahn Jae-hong brings great comedic timing as his loyal assistant, and their chemistry makes the movie a joy to watch. The cinematography is colorful and dynamic, matching the film’s playful energy, while the pacing keeps the story engaging from start to finish.
The film balances mystery and humor so well that even serious moments feel entertaining rather than heavy. It’s not your typical sageuk — it’s brighter, faster, and more modern in feel.
Overall, ***The King’s Case Note*** is a smart, funny, and visually rich film that proves history can be full of surprises.
*If you enjoy clever kings, witty dialogue, and light mystery, this one’s for you!*

So sad!
What a sad movie about how hard it is on people just because they love someone of the same gender. Why can't people accept love in the different forms there are. Love is such a beautifull thing but it gets destroyed by small minded people. The visuals and musc were ok.
The acting and kisses good.
One time watching is enough for me, but i do recommend watching if you haven't yet!

I believe this is the first series review where I can point out how excellent the production team did on creating this series. I remember in many past shows where the same actor/actress were performing two different characters in the same camera shot. These were incredibly done in this series. Best I have ever seen. So seamless that it is hard to believe it is the same actress doing both parts. Well done. A++++
There was not too much in-depth drama in this series. But the cast and crew performed outstandingly. It was a show I feel that made the viewer feel happy, hopeful, and supportive of all the characters in the series. Sometimes you just need a loving and feelgood show to watch. And this was it.
As usual, all the actor's/actress's performances were great. I did not note any outstanding soundtracks to add to my playlist.
I would recommend this series, and look forward to seeing these same actors/actress again in future projects.
I rate this series an 8 out of 10.
