seriously intriguing!
Thoroughly enjoying everything about this drama. It’s a serious view into how driven people can become when faced with trauma and to what lengths they will go to, to release themselves from its’ aftermath. Very well cast, the characters are all believable and the actors are well chosen.it’s darkness is appropriate to the story and scenes are well staged and well shot. The story, while complicated plays out smoothly and even if you get a bit lost in it, the flow of how it unfolds carries you through.

You most probably won't get bored
STOP the OST IS SO PEAK WHATI really like this drama, its so...unexpectedly expectable if you know what I mean...it has the perfect blend of comedy and emotion
Plus some eye candy is not a bad thing either; the second leads are sooo shippable as well. Did not get the Riley Wang hype during Back From the Brink maybe because I intensely disliked watching it but after this, he's going up there on the list lmao
I think this is my first Li Yitong proper romance drama where I haven't died halfway. She's so good yet some of them scripts are so crap that she barely has any well rated dramas on MDL. Glory of Special Forces was really good but it wasn't really romance oriented. Warm on a Cold Night? Eye candy. Good cast. Dropped/on-holded because I couldn't do it anymore. And don't get me started on whatever that mess of Sword and Beloved was because that was the most disastrous of them all. Credit to A Dream within a Dream now then for presenting my first successful watch of a Li Yitong romance drama *cue the applause*
Liu Yuning doesn't disappoint in his acting, and all the side characters were so necessary, not that type of random-ahh 'just stuck you in there because the space next to the ML and FL is really empty' type thing. There were a lot of misunderstandings, and the FL sticking to the storybook plot like glue and being the opposite of 'open mindeu' when it came to Nan Hong, and that Emperor who to me got off too easy in my opinion but OH WELL. Promise you won't get bored by watching it tho, as I said in the beginning. Happy ending was also a very good decision :)

When a cast just hits every time
Solid cast, solid acting.Honestly impressed, there wasn’t a single episode I didn’t enjoy.
This is what happens when you put that many great actors in one project.
JimmySea’s chemistry was on point as always, and the acting was honestly masterful (wouldn’t expect anything less)
With some recent disappointments, it was refreshing to finally watch something I genuinely enjoyed from start to finish.
Overall super enjoyable and really cute.
Loved First as the villain, they need to give my man more roles like this.

This was supposed to be the final sequel.
This was supposed to be the final sequel, but it's once again setting up a sequel. This is a parody of the BL genre, I understand that, but, having the bits of fourth-wall breaking, I thought this might actually finally resolve with an interesting plot. It did not. It is more ridiculous acting and repetitive tropes with yet another hook for a continuation.
Will Mob ever truly defy his World of BL, or will seasons 5, 6, 7, and beyond just drag out his antics?

Simply the best non romantic Cdrama of 2025
I did not know about this drama until last week when I read an article about the best C drama to watch in 2025 and I thot I would give it a try. firstly I'm not a fan of this genre, this type of show are usually not my cup of tea, I like and watch romantic shows, however this one is different, I binge watch the whole in 3 days, I was sleep deprived but its worth it. the only thing I can stay is watch it. it's is definitely 10/10 drama. anyone that said they I guess the ending accurately is genus. even if you think you know, you are wrong. no wasted screen time, every part contributed to the overall story. this is definitely a masterpiece. Was this review helpful to you?

UNHINGED, CHAOTIC, WEIRD, AND JUST DOWNRIGHT NONSENSICAL IN THE BEST WAY POSSIBLE
I have never watched a series where someone had sex backwards before! Under the table, with clothespins, a cucumber, elephant trunk dick measuring contest. Where should I even begin? It's the most hilarious, unserious plot with the weirdest sex positions and kinks that have you rolling your eyes, spit-taking and crying from hysteria. Please watch this. I can't suffer alone. The rating needs to be higher

Speed and Love: When Sun & Moon Went Off Track
🔹 Would I rewatch? No🔹 The pseudo‑sibling setup may alienate viewers. Although the characters are not blood-related and were not raised together, the long‑standing sibling bond can still make the romance feel uncomfortable for many.
📕 Overview
🔹 30 episodes, romance, drama, action
🔹 Adapted from the web novel “Shuang Gui” (双轨) by Shi Jiu Yuan
🔹 On paper, this is a high‑stakes reunion story. Jiang Mu grows up in a sheltered, stable world, while Jin Zhao is pulled into Thailand’s underground racing and fighting.
🔹 Years later, she flies to Thailand alone to track him and her father down, only to find Jin Zhao scraping by in garages, races, and fight pits instead of a warm family reunion.
🔹 The setup promises a “good girl walks into bad boy’s world” romance across Thailand and China, with danger, family fallout, and second chances built in.
🔹 What stood out to me early on was how dramatic everything wants to be, even when the writing and performances do not always have the depth to back that up.
🌸 How It Felt Watching
🔹 Personally, I did not care for Esther Yu’s performance or the way the relationship is framed.
🔹Instead of keeping me in the race, it made me disengage and park this drama in the garage.
🔹 The Thailand underground settings has built‑in danger that it should be gripping, but the way scenes are written and acted, it's more of a backdrop.
✨ Cast & Acting
🔹 Esther Yu plays Jiang Mu, a stubborn and intelligent character who steps into chaos for someone she loves. However, her performance often seems overly childish and cute.
🔹 He Yu as Jin Zhao has the right look for a tortured lead and the “tough on the outside, soft on the inside.”
🔹 It appears that their chemistry is meant to be intense, but because their sibling bond is established early on, it was hard for me to embrace the romantic shift.
🔹 Supporting roles around them help fill out the world of racers, fighters, and family, but no one in the cast stood out enough to compensate for the leads’ weaknesses.
🎞️ Production Style
Production is one of the stronger sides here, even when the story and acting are not.
🔹 The humid, neon‑lit Thailand setting, garages, race tracks, and boxing rings give the drama a distinct visual identity.
🔹 There are some nicely framed shots of fights and races that make the world feel believable, even if the performances in those scenes do not always match the visuals
🔹 For me, the atmosphere often feels stronger than the writing.
☕ Tea Notes
✏️I believe the script is the blueprint and the first sip of any drama.
🔹 First sip reflection: The premise sounded like an edgy, forbidden romance that would hit hard, but the early episodes already showed me that the plot and acting are not my cup of tea.
🔹 What worked: The core idea of two kids forced onto different life tracks meeting again in a dangerous world is compelling, and the Thailand setting gives the show a unique flavor.
🔹 What did not work: The relationship framing is a big hurdle on its own. When you pair it with uneven plotting and performances that rarely reach the promised emotional intensity, it is hard to stay fully invested.
☕ SpillTheDramaTea’s Rating: 5/10

Thank you, Mob, for this journey
DisclaimerWhat I am writing here are my views and thoughts about this series. Some of you may not like it. That does not give you the right to try to come at me with your opinions on why this series should get a higher or lower score and why it is better/worse than I think it is. You have your own opinions, and I have mine. Kindly respect that.
Mob took us on a four-season journey starting from the year 2021 to 2025, and we, the viewers, were there rooting for him, seeing if he would have remained a mob throughout the seasons. And while I may not like the ending (I, in the beginning, still, like many, believe that Mob should have ended up alone or with Kikuchi), I will respect the ending of this series with Mob and Hatano. I personally did not have an issue with the age difference between Mob and Hatano. I just preferred Kikuchi with Mob, as we had a build-up from quiet season 1 with Mob and him.
But as I stated before, I will respect the ending of this series for two reasons. One of them being that Kikuchi saw before us, the viewers, as well as Mob, that he had feelings for Hatano. And the second reason is we had a BL writer, who made sure that not only did Kikuchi end up with his happy ever after (even though it was not with Mob), but Mob and Katano had their BL ending too. This just shows us viewers that sometimes writers carry a story in another direction from what we readers wanted it to be – and we may not like it, but we have to accept it.
But putting that aside, I want to thank Mob for carrying us on such a hilarious journey throughout the years. I always enjoyed watching the opening OST for each of the seasons, and this season did not disappoint, giving us a Green Day-inspired OST with the male lead dressed up as Green Day's lead singer, Billie Joe Armstrong. This was truly a journey, and I will remember Mob and how he fought the resistance of being apart of the BL world for over these four seasons.

A Heartfelt Gem with Laughter, Tears, and Unforgettable Chemistry
Returning Pearl is one of those rare dramas that manages to deliver so much in such short episodes (around 15 minutes each) while leaving a lasting emotional impact. From the very first episode, I was hooked. The chemistry between the ML and FL is flawless — they complement each other perfectly, making every interaction feel natural, charming, and meaningful. Their film kisses were incredibly convincing, adding depth and realism to their romance. Every shared moment had me smiling, laughing, and occasionally tearing up.
The supporting cast is also fantastic, bringing depth and humor to the story, making the world feel alive beyond just the leads. Each character has their own charm and significance, contributing to the overall warmth of the series.
The OST deserves a special mention — catchy, emotional, and perfectly matched to the scenes, it truly enhances every moment, making the drama even more memorable.
I also loved the double ending — such a clever touch that gave fans an extra layer of satisfaction and fun speculation. It was the perfect way to conclude this already delightful drama.
Despite its short format, the drama manages to balance humor, romance, and heartfelt emotion beautifully. By the end, I was left both satisfied and a little wistful, wishing I could spend just a bit more time in this world with them all.
Returning Pearl isn’t just a drama — it’s a compact, brilliant story that proves short episodes can deliver a full emotional journey. Highly recommended for anyone looking for laughter, tears, convincing romance, and a heartwarming story that sticks with you.
Final Verdict: Heartwarming, hilarious, emotional, and absolutely unmissable. 🥰💖

IVE LOVED IT
I’ve loved this drama allot. From the concept of SF club, to the way they executed every single situation in there. I loved how they made it known that even if the whole world thinks you are gorgeous, it may not be of meaning if you can’t see it yourself and that the most important thing is about how you view yourself. Plus how sometimes being in our own bubbles may make it feel like it’s only you going through stuff. The execution of the acting team was brilliant. This is getting long but I loved everything about this drama. Every episode and every actor. Was this review helpful to you?
A Journey of Love and Redemption
I have mixed feelings about this drama. While the central themes of love, sacrifice, forgiveness, redemption, and reconciliation are commendable, there is a lingering sense of restraint. Despite the underlying strained circumstances, unresolved issues, and deep misunderstandings, the narrative had the potential to be a highly charged drama filled with angst, tension, and simmering emotions ready to boil over at every turn. Yet, everything is subdued and toned down, resulting in a disconnect between the build-up and the actual events, which can leave viewers feeling empty. Although the series does not delve deeply into the emotional turmoil of its characters, it nevertheless manages to capture a beautiful, mature love that has survived the test of time. This was my first time watching Quin Lan in a drama, and while I found her visually stunning, her acting failed to impress me. Throughout the drama, she seemed to repress heightened emotions, which made me question whether this was a directorial choice or a reflection of how her character, Tan Si Ting, was written. Tan Si Ting appeared highly contradictory, exhibiting traits of a dual personality, unlike the other characters who remained consistent. She is portrayed as a strong, independent, and highly esteemed ballerina with a composed exterior, but her actions often contradict this image, particularly in her avoidance of emotional confrontations. Her initial interactions with Feng Rui after returning home seem aloof, even going so far as to accompany him and his girlfriend to pick out a wedding dress and venue. This raises questions about the realism of her actions, especially if she still harbors feelings for her ex. In professional settings, when handling conflict with colleagues, Tan Si Ting displays strength and determination, yet her soft, whispery, girl-like voice contrasts sharply with her persona. When she discovers that her son, Feng Le Xuan, is alive and learns of the years of deception, the moment that could have showcased raw emotional breakdown is instead handled with subdued tears rather than a full display of turmoil. Quin Lan missed the opportunity to showcase dramatic acting range.
The drama reveals that Tan Si Ting suffered from depression in her youth, and the dramatic reveal of her son's existence should have been a catalyst for turbulent emotions, had the character remained true to her established traits. After reuniting with Feng Rui, Tan Si Ting continually delays telling their son the truth, waiting for an ideal moment, even as she spends time reconnecting with Feng Rui. Her reasoning is a fear that Feng Le Xuan will reject her, despite knowing that he likes her and sees her as a confidant. Feng Le Xuan is depicted as thoughtful and mature, making Tan Si Ting’s delay in revealing the truth seem unnecessary. The eventual reveal, when Feng Le Xuan discovers the truth on his own and asks his father about it, is presented in a casual, offhand manner, lacking any emotional tension. Another puzzling moment occurs when Tan Si Ting cancels a family meal with Feng Rui and their son after being smeared by online rumors, opting to avoid her son. This results in Feng Le Xuan finding out the truth from other kids at school, further diminishing the emotional impact of the revelation.
For me, the two redeeming characters were Feng Rui, played by Wallace Chung, and Feng Le Xuan, portrayed by the exceptionally talented young actor Wang Hao Ze. Wallace Chung’s portrayal of Feng Rui stands out for its calm maturity and devotion as a father. He subtly conveys the emotions of unresolved yearning and bitterness. Though initially frustrated and dismissive toward Tan Si Ting due to past misunderstandings, Feng Rui takes the initiative to confront his suppressed feelings, asking her if she regrets leaving him and their son. This moment paves the way for clarifying misunderstandings between them.
This drama unfolds slowly and requires patience, which I admittedly lacked at the time of watching. The subplots that deviated from the main couple did not capture my interest, leading me to skip those scenes. Nonetheless, the drama remains decent overall, featuring good cinematography, musical scores, and solid acting.

A Slow Burn That Sets the Screen on Fire
This short vertical drama genuinely surprised me—in the best way. The writing is impressively tight, with no unnecessary, dragged-out arguments. Instead, it focuses on what truly matters: the gradual growth of the two leads and the way their relationship unfolds naturally. Side characters are kept to a minimum, which helps the story stay centered and engaging throughout. What really stands out is the chemistry between the leads. It’s the kind of slow-burn romance where you almost forget you’re watching a short drama. There’s nothing toxic here—just a calm, mature love story that develops at its own pace, yet never feels boring. The male lead, with his composed and controlled demeanor, is especially captivating. He’s calm until pushed, quietly intense, and when jealousy appears, it adds heat rather than chaos. The female lead is equally refreshing: cute and innocent, but never childish, with a clear backbone and emotional depth.
Their chemistry doesn’t rely solely on kisses or dramatic tropes. Even without constant physical intimacy, they manage to burn up the screen. When the steamy moments do arrive, they feel earned and powerful, enhancing the emotional connection rather than overpowering it. It’s rare to see a vertical drama balance romance, desire, and character growth this well.
While the drama lightly touches on the darker side of the entertainment industry, its true strength lies in the love story itself—two people from different stages of life finding comfort, passion, and understanding in each other. For me, this has easily become one of my top favorite vertical dramas. If you enjoy slow-burn romances with strong chemistry, emotional warmth, and a non-toxic storyline, this one is absolutely worth your time. ❤️🔥

A comfort drama!
This is a very late entry but l believe it had to be done in case someone was skeptical about watching Ski into love! As l was watching this drama during its airing time and l just said, “Ohh well this is a good drama! Great! Next!”Later on, l fell into a Cdrama slump and just needed something to watch to distract myself whiling up time so l ended up rewatching Ski into love! This has to be one of the best Cdrama rewatch choices l ever made because best believe it is now my comfort drama which l have and will continue to rewatch many times!
Shan Chong was a guy who was just living his life with just one goal of saving up for his sister while putting his own desires aside! As Wei Zhi became a part of his life, he became more curious about life, had more to look forward to and even goals to achieve. He was a calm and reserved guy who was everything the cute Wei Zhi needed in her life!
A plus is the cute real between Dai Duo and Shan Shan which was just eye candy! How can l forget to talk about one of my favourite OSTs from Ski into love, Snowy secret, Falling snow and True love! They always warm my heart!❤️
I would recommend it if you are up for a cutesy romantic drama without a dramatic storyline. Each actor nailed their role without leaving room for flaws! The outfits Wei Zhi rocked especially during the skiing trips will always be top tier for me! Watch this drama expecting to come across a cute but career oriented female and a calm but dedicated male lead. Wei Zhi delivered cuteness while continuing to be a woman on a mission to fulfill her dream! Shan Chong became more enthusiastic to pursue his dream and everything just fell into place for them!
The only downside of this drama is the noticeably cut scenes which cut short some of the fun we were supposed to experience. They either quickly brushed off some scenes or left us hanging which bruised the beauty of the drama. Regardless of this flaw, this drama will always be a gem which l hope you will enjoy!
Any time l am up for some giggles, calm vibes, nothing hectic, l know to always run to watch Ski into love!
