When you have right amount of ingredients and processing them harmoniously

Said it many times but i'm not very big on modern cdrama hence the low rewatch value. Honestly, i came here solely for Chen Xingxu in republican attire. I did come for that, fully aware that's not even the main plot and it could be only appeared at the beginning. Plus my history with modern cdrama only give it high chance of me dropping it yet here i am, surprising myself by finishing it right off the bat.

Imma start with this drama has right amount of ingredients and know how to balance all of them, therefore they're not clashing. It's just right not overboard which is surprisingly rare for my standard. it could be boring yet the unraveling past plot is enough to keep it thrilling. After all, this type of cdrama usually not complicated. The family (past) issue and the leads romance is basically the plot main drive. I lowkey like how everything is predictable and just curious how would the characters react upon big revelation. Another thing i wanna highlight is the pace. The pace is superb. Like i said, this drama is all about balance. Everything is the right amount. Some may want more but modern drama is good with less than 30 episodes.

Acting department, well, the chemistry is damn. Dating era chemistry is so natural like i was invading their privacy at some point. Btw I'm faithful to our leads chemistry since day 1. Not getting SL syndrome in this household šŸ˜
I admit our SML actor did a good job. He probably the most layered character. The discourse regarding his motive is very much understandable, i'd say every opinion is valid depends on your pov.

It's small detail but i love love love how they keep the games till the end and make it part of the story to show characters growth. Told ya i came for ML republican attire hehe. I also love how there's no wedding or marriage proposal at the end. Although our ML is mentally married in his head LMAO.

To summarize, it's a light drama with a right amount of everything. Like perfectly nutritious tasty meal, with taste, not a boring bland healthy meal.

It’s a No for Me

As much as I love Zhao Lusi and how cute the water beast was, this drama was not for me. I love reincarnation stories, but I think the ML here just didn’t reel me in. I’m sorry, but he was just silly. Silly in a bad way. Believe me, I tried, but dropped it after 2 episodes. Zhao Lusi’s baby voice bothered me a bit here. I get it. She just hatched and she’s still a baby. Plus, I don’t see any chemistry between the two actors. I had to go online and read some spoilers because I really wanted to know what happens in the end. Sure enough, there was a lot of misunderstandings, and I hate that. Glad I didn’t bother watching the whole thing.

First surprise of the year

I always run from modern c-dramas, but this caught my attention because of the game, which I thought was gonna be a bigger part of it than it actually is, but it wasn't, and it kinda disappointed me, and the lead actors, whom I know from previous works and really like. Even though it's full of the cliches that make me don't go near modern c-dramas (unnecessary big dramatic moments, past connection, annoying nosy family, side characters I don't give a shit about), it's absolutely worth it for the lead characters and their story and chemistry. The writing isn't the greatest or a never seen before type, but the romance is top tier.

Worst Exchange Season

The main attraction was Exchange was truly raw emotions and connections. But this season failed in that. I didn't feel any heart fluttering moments. Barely got touched by emotional stories.

This season delivered in being dramatic and having a lot of EX conversations, but a lot felt unauthentic to me, which isn't what Exchange is for me. Even season 1 had couples I rooted for. In this season, I didn't particularly look forward to one couple or find new couples' chemistry that good.

Amazing

Alchemy of Souls is simply put Fantastic
Magic, sword fights with great choreography, characters you'll love, and a romance that hurts so good. Every episode pulls you deeper into a world of forbidden power, fate, and wills that refuse to break. Stylish, emotional, and wildly addictive—once it hooks you, there’s no escape.

The acting was superb across the board. Without giving anything away, you'll fall in love with the cast and route for our protagonists. Don't take my word, just buckle in and watch it for yourself!

Spring Heals Two

I just finished this drama, and I am already missing both Sun Jae Gyu and Yoon Bom. I don't usually get to memorize the characters' names, but here, their names hold a certain significance in the story.

What do I like about this drama?
1. The Story - It started off with lots of mystery for both these leads. Each episode carries new revelation and there were no dull moments. I love how each misunderstanding and rumor had been resolved little by little with the people they trust. It gives us hope that though some people could be harsh at times because of a wrong accusation, there are some who would trust and love to find the truth. I am glad it has a happy ending. The story has a lot of life lessons on facing the controversies, on finding truth, on trust and on love. It teaches also how to live without getting trapped in the past. I love how the people learned to get passed their bias towards Jae Gyu.

2. The Actors - I like Ahn Bo Hyung, not just an actor but as a person. Him acting as Sun Jae Gyu brought some of his true self. Joo Bin is such a lovely lady who has a good chemistry with Bo Hyung. Whether it be on screen or off screen as seen in BTS, they worked together well. The actors as teachers and students were equally great with their accent which added flavor to this drama

3. The characters -
a. Sun Jae Gyu: From the promo, he may be scary but actually he is like a macaron - tough outside, but soft inside. I love Jae Gyu being straightforward, unpretentious and unassuming. He may be curious at first with Yoon Bom from his first encounter with her. Everyone in their town knows him and are afraid of him, but Yoon Bom doesn't know him at all. He may come off as strange to her but not intimidating. Jae Gyu may be a simple man, may not have reached college nor eligible for military service, but he is hardworking, strong and dependable. I like what he told Bom (as she cried) "When you are down, sweets are the best cure." And another thing he said to Bom when he had allergy, "Food taste best when you eat it together." These may be simple thoughts, but we all can relate to. It speaks of a caring heart. And because of this, I am also warming up to Jae Gyu. I like how Jae Gyu had transformed as he finds comfort in Bom.

b. Yoon Bom: she ran away from her past, vowing not to smile nor to interact with anyone, especially with any parent of her students. But she warms up to Jae Gyu, even in many misunderstood encounters. Another quote I picked from this drama is from Yoon Bom, "Scars aren't always a bad thing. They're proof of what you've endured." Just like Yoon Bom, I am also curious about Jae Gyu's scars. Jae Gyu has a hidden past also which he may not want to recall. Yoon Bom also had transformed from that quiet and secretive person to someone who boldly faced her past with Jae Gyu by her side and her atty. Choi I-jun. Yoon Bom also have thoughtful quotes which I would like to highlight. She told Jae Gyu this, "When life gets overwhelming and complicated, think simple." And at the last episode she said this also, "the truth can only be protected with courage, not with time."

4. The Location: The place where they shot most of the scenes are lovely. It feels like a refreshing restart for these characters.

As this drama is light and breezy, it is easy to rewatch it. Congratulations to the Cast and Crew of Spring Fever!!!!

It came in 2022, It was always in my watch list but I didn’t give it a try afraid it may disappoint me.
But it was amazing. I cried a lot while watching this. It shows the pain of people who are committing suicide.

Amazing without romance

I watched this since i don't mood of romance drama. Yunmiao was refreshing theme from Chinese short drama.

I always have beef about Wang Xiaoyi intonation (If she fixed it it would she would be perfect) but her acting perfectly captures the detached and aloof a cultivator, giving her a touch of ethereal beauty that I really like.

This is first time i found Wang Xiaoyi perfect combo (not in romance) and its Xue Binhong. I liked their boss-employee dynamic duo in here making this drama more watchable.

A very novel theme, a grand worldview, and impressive character design in this short series.

Recommended to watch.

SIMPLY EXCELLENT, BUT...

Love Between Lines was a wonderful departure from the usual C-drama. I was hooked from the very first episode. The unique addition of the role-play synopsis is what sets the drama apart from others. The acting was natural and charismatic; the chemistry between the Leads was outstanding. Even though the storyline followed a predictable pattern, the script was well-written.
My rating will not be affected, even though there are a few things I did not agree with:
1. The LBL storyline was set primarily in the office, coffee shop, Zhou's husband's job, or the role-play club. Every episode was about someone's relationship, which included their profession. Shine On Me was criticized for the same reason. Yet, The Best Thing was also set in a hospital, a clinic, or a hotel that had more uninteresting scenes. "UNFAIR" to SOM in my opinion.
2. I did not like the ending. Their relationship was never made known to the office staff, and they decided not to get married, but adopted a stray cat. (UNFILLING and INCOMPLETE) At least the Leads in TBT were married, and SOM storyline came full circle with marriage and a family while achieving personal and professional goals. There was no weak script in any of the dramas I mentioned.

Must Watch

Kamen Rider Build is type of show I would recommend people to watch even if they are not typically interested in this genre. Story is great. It asks questions about ethics and scientific progress, and every character's personal progression compliments to each other as well as main storyline. There are so many twists and turns that keeps the story interesting. Acting is great too. Only criticism I could give towards this show is also one of the strenghts I told previously: Having twists in your story to keep it fresh is cool, but sometimes it's a bit too much and could feel overdone.

Don't make the last sentence discourage you though. I really wish everyone to experience watching Kamen Rider Build! Have fun! Love and Peace!

Unscripted and Raw Emotions

I was expecting to have the same cast for Season 2. However, I think mixing new members bring in different dynamics into the show. I am not really familiar with Ji Yeon as I haven't seen her dramas. I like her positivity and energy, not afraid to handle any sea creatures, though the first challenge had left her seasick.
I am pleasantly surprised with Jae Wook. This young man can survive in the wild, he does what he needs to do, being the only man in the team. Though Ji Yeon been teasing him, he remains respectful and kind.
The ever-dependable older sisters Jung-Ah and Jun-Myung did what they are good at and guided the younger siblings well.

Am a bit emotional at the end, seeing how they celebrated Jae Wook's birthday on their last day. They had 2 birthdays this season and as they had given messages to the birthday celebrants -Jun-Myung and Jae Wook, it was heartfelt.

I love this variety show as it shows their true self, unscripted, with raw emotions captured. I love to see their personalities and how they worked together well, how they supported one another.

I am looking forward to Season 3 and hoping the next mix of members will be just as good as this.

Hidden identity with wrong diagnosis.

I watched all of Peng Daidai and Wang Nan and this is their best one. Although it's an old trop about hidden identity with wrong diagnosis, it was still decent to watch.

No drugging, No kidnapping, no shielding, and the couple stands united against outsiders. Wang Nan's crying scenes are absolutely amazing. There's a scene where he's eating while listening to the FL talk about the fifty things she wants to do before she dies.

The cons in this drama is ML assistant, he is more antagonist than the actual villain. He always interrupted ML goodwill and make misunderstanding more bigger.

Overall, the plot has many misunderstandings and plot holes, but they're resolved within a few episodes. The pretense of poverty and misdiagnosis aren't explained until the very last episode, and there's no unnecessary verbal sparring—it's all very satisfying to watch! The interactions between ML and FL are sweet, plentiful, and natural.

Recommended to watch.

Fluffy and Cute Cats: Big Tiger & Lynx

I love this fluff and cute side of First and Khaotung, they have been great since The Eclipse, their debut series as a couple. They have a remarkable chemistry.

Now moving on to 'Cat For Cash' series, Lynx never liked cats—or his mother. But when he’s stuck running her cat cafĆ©, he has no choice but to team up with Tiger, a charming debt collector who can actually understand cats, to pay off her debts.

After watching the first episode of 'Cat For Cash,' I'm so glad and convinced that they are growing together in their craft as actors, and can take given script now.

We are used to seeing them turning from enemies to lovers and in action or thriller storylines, this series 'Cat For Cash's reveals their versatile side of them. It's cute to see them in such a setup.

FirstKhao, I've been a huge fan since day one.ā¤ļø

Worth Watching

I got drawn from the first scene of the first episode. Li Fei is such a great actor. The plot was amazing (not fond of the emperor and his deeds though, a pity he didn't suffer more).

A bit predictable but worth the watch. Have actually rewatched my favorite scenes several times. I just wished the ending was happier than how it ended.
