Phenomenal acting skills, good chemistry, interesting story, worth to watch

The prosecutor's proposal is like a good coffee on a rainy day in Korea. It is definitely something you have to watch during the holidays, once you start it, you just keep wanting more & more...

The actors were chosen perfectly, I honestly can't imagine anyone else for these roles. The chemistry is really good. I even thought while I was watching the 6th episode, if they had the main roles in a few series I found poor, I'd have liked that specific series (side note: Kim Yoon-Sik is so insanely handsome and you'll see 😌). Oh, and I also like the character development!!

And not to mention, THE EFFORT THEY PUT INTO ALL OF THIS. Like that's genuinely mind-blowing (for instance: search Studio Oak on Youtube).

The story is also well-written, it creates a detective atmosphere and you feel like you're suddenly in a Columbo episode hahaha.

All I can say is even though I rarely rewatch series I've already watched once, I'll definitely rewatch this one ā¤ļø. Give it a shot!

(I hope this didn't come out like a spoiler)

Literally what were they even trying to do here lol

Batshit insane in every regard. Many plot lines led literally no where. It was an okay watch purely on the "eh that was fun" scale but literally???? What??? Were they thinking???? Suho did a really good job for an idol honestly and had the best and most fleshed out plot hook. Tone shift between first and second half was wild. Also literally why tf did she bite to SK in the last ep??????

Speaking of dropped plot points the running hair loss joke from the first like 5 eps is literally never mentioned again. Same with the shamans kid???? Those two things pissed me off... but there were plenty of other times this sort of thing happened as well.

Whole lotta nothing.

Also like--- I would count this as a rare example of the second lead winning the girl. The ML gets ZERO romance allusion until the last like 10 mins of the whole show and frankly I would've never forgave him for what he did. Second lead quire literally had her heart till the end (his end ope).

A Surprising Revenge Drama

I’ll start with the downside:
40 episodes is a difficult length for a story built around revenge to maintain pace, and towards the end I did skip some of the side plots. I imagine viewers who watch every single subplot may feel that the pacing drags in the final stretch. The drama also introduces a lot of side characters, and unfortunately not all of them receive satisfying conclusions. Some simply disappear, making me wonder why they were introduced in the first place.

That said, none of those flaws took away from what this drama did exceptionally well.

It wasn’t another "revenge" story, the psychological aspect completely changes the viewing experience. Watching through Ye Li’s perspective genuinely made me forget no one in Lishan academy survived and the scene she imagined her master while actually performing the martial arts herself was directed perfectly.

Also seen people complain that the revenge wasn't satisfying, and I honestly disagree.
Lu Changfu's death was one of the most creative revenge scenes I've seen. Again, I think many viewers misunderstand the ending with the Empress Dowager.

It would have been unrealistic for the her to walk in and kill the most powerful lady in the palace. The Empress Dowager's greatest obsession wasn't staying alive—it was her legacy. She genuinely believed history would remember her as a great ruler. Instead, she was stripped of her honor, buried as a commoner, and the reputation she spent her entire life protecting disappeared.

The acting was another major highlight.

Bai Lu delivered one of my favorite performances of hers and Cheng Lei played the role of Prince Ding rightly.

One thing I also appreciated was that the supporting cast played their roles convincingly especially Prince Li’s actor, I think he was a standout character for me.

My only other criticism is that I wish the drama had handled the heroine's psychological condition with a little more depth and consistency. It was one of the most unique aspects of the story, and I think they could have explored it even further.

Overall, this was one of the biggest surprises I've had in years. I went in with almost no expectations and ended up completely immersed.

Insta love with internal struggles

Starting with the things I didn't like!

* Girlfriend has got a lot of balls to do what she did and then act like she did absolutely nothing wrong. She had no respect for Shizuma.
* Shizuma & Minato's feelings developed a bit too quickly. It basically was love at first sight, but also not.

I liked pretty much everything else, but a couple of things more than others, and those are~

* Vet students & they actually worked with animals.
* There was a parent present!
* Shizuma's family dog looks like mine, except mine is all white.
* And most importantly, I really connected with this series because of Minato. I'm a lot like Minato in that when I like someone, the stronger my feelings are for them, the more insecure and scared I feel. I always have 1 foot out the door ready to run, and I hate that.

Many people may find this series annoying because of how indecisive Minato is, but to someone who has experienced that kind of anxiety, it's like I was watching myself fighting to love while everything in me is screaming in rejection. It's hard to explain, but I thought Naoya did a beautiful job conveying that feeling.

It has… ups and downs iā€˜d say

Normally i hate drama, but this drama was really watchable iā€˜d say.
Atleast from EarthMix and AouBoom, donā€˜t get me wrong, i donā€˜t have anything against JossGawin! Its just their story got from obe second of the other boring as hell that i had to skip through their parts.
Not only was theirs getting boring, but in the middle of the Series, i couldnā€˜t bring myself to watch EarthMix or JackDean too. Smth was just too boring for me, idk what it was because i normally loved them in e. g. A Tale Of A Thousand Stars! And i also loved their acting in OFDO really much, their story was just… overplayed?
It was very different with AouBoom or RomeRaffy for me, i really love to see them act in that bickering and teasing manner, even though they almost argued all the time, also i felt really bad for Rome, and Raffy too. They bith played misunderstood and used characters, which was sad to watch but i was so happy that they found together as they are fr the right match!

Overall iā€˜d rewatch it, but mostly for Rome and Raffy…
Oh and about the storyline, the ending of Jack and Dean felt too realistic as Earth and Mix also like ā€žleftā€œ and just what Jack was saying had me wondering if it was maybe their real story or from a friend or so

Your new favourite binge of the day

Rather wholesome and entertaining. This whole thing.

I wish to see more from these actors so I could judge their acting separately from this drama. Because these two molded right into their roles and I had zero doubt about who they were. I would not believe you telling me they are, in fact, not Zen and Ryo in real life.

I did like the story overall, especially when it tried to explore characters' insecurities. But I cannot escape seeing that it was rather superficial and only in service of the relationship. These actors could have done more because they are legitimately good. Which is at the same time the reason why gaps in the story are not blatantly obvious. Like random perturbations to move the plot beyond seven episodes.

But nothing can change the overall impression -- Short and sweet!

Thank you for reading,
RXP

Much fluff but its still really good!

Honestly i watched it because of an edit i saw of the main couple, and boy i tell you i was hyped.
I dont remember a series, where i was giggling and kicking my feet so much. It was just really sweet to see how caring Fah was and how loving he acted towards Teerak.
Also i loved the developement from all of their characters, exspecially from Teeraks parents.
Like wdym, you were homophob but changed for the sake of your child (how it should be!!)…
i also found the scene funny, where Teeraks father watched Naughty Babe and wondered where the female lead was haha
Mentioning his Father, i really loved how his Mother reacted, when Teerak told her that he was in a relationship with Fah.. i had the same reaction from my mother: short dissapointment, then shocked, maybe no crying, but she pulled herself also together for me and my gf, even though she told me it was a phase (which seemed to ve a thought of Teeraks Mother!!)

Anyways, iā€˜ll stop my ranting now, but i tell you, if youā€˜ll watch Your Sky you wonā€˜t be dissapointet whether its about protecting his lover or strengthing the family bond in families wirh lgbtq+ children!

A Drama That Rewards Patience

This drama has a high barrier to entry, and I think that’s exactly why it’s so divisive.

It doesn’t constantly explain itself, and it expects the audience to infer a lot. Rather than spoon-feeding every answer, it gradually reveals the bigger picture through subtle details, conversations, and character interactions. If that storytelling style resonates with you, you’ll probably love it. If it doesn’t, you’ll likely wonder what all the praise is about.

One aspect I especially appreciated was how the drama portrays invisible emotional wounds. Some scars aren’t immediately visible, and the story explores this with surprising sensitivity and restraint. It reminded me that not every battle leaves a physical mark. Some of the deepest scars are the ones no one else can see, and healing is rarely linear.

It may not be the easiest drama to watch, and I understand why it isn’t for everyone. But for viewers who enjoy layered narratives, imperfect characters, and stories that reveal themselves over time, I think it’s absolutely worth watching.

ACCOUNTABILITY!!!

I absolutely LOVED this series, it's backstory and the superb acting! The number #1 reason I love it is just one word: ACCOUNTABILITY! The stories are different in their own way, which makes it fresh but it's the consequences of each offender's actions and how the ERPB goes about handing out the come-uppance. It had me crying, laughing and straight up shocked sometimes (but in a good way šŸ‘šŸ¾). I didn't even realize the many ways bullying could take form but these stories are great and much-needed. I know it may trigger some people because it can seem extreme in some of the violent ways these bullies get payback but the psychological repercussions are so real for the victims! I feel they did a real good job of portraying the realities of what happens to victims of bullying. I know that payback could never truly be the way they played out in the series but one could only fantasize, right?! And THAT'S what makes this series so good! The way some of these bullies were getting a taste of their own medicine is what made it so hilarious to me! I WISHED some bullies would get b#tchslapped like that šŸ˜‚šŸ¤£ This was a wonderful series and I do hope people can see it for what it truly is...A lesson in what a World could look like if we held those accountable for the harm they cause others.

if u dont like it, go cry about it :)

The best BL i have ever seen, everything is done so well and right. The emotions had been felt, the doings were absolutely done right and after all its a enemies to lovers trope, which i really REALLY love.
The characters are also so well build and relatable, the plotwist is plottwisting and overall it was a sad but also funny experience with much second hand embarrassement moments for me.

One bad thing: whereā€˜s season 2!? I need it asap after their new project, if not i fear i will explode.

Honestly...

This was the first time I saw Boss play such a hopeless simp, and I'll be honest, I'm not really used to it. In my eyes, he'll always be P'Phayu. šŸ˜‚

I'll be honest again, though... a lot of the scenes felt pretty cringe. I kept defending it by telling myself that maybe they intentionally wanted it to be that way. The story was very simple and didn't have much depth.

That said, I did enjoy the cast since most of them were new to me. My only issue was that the other three couples didn't get proper closure. I really wish they had been given satisfying endings too.

Honestly, I don't have much else to say. I finished the series because I love BN.

This was good

It was light and went against the typical political dramas. It was not swallowed up by unnecessary plot twists ... however .......

I believe the show should have been 30 episodes or even less.

The FLs story was fascinating and the focus at the beginning was great to watch, I was excited to see where she would go as her initial revenge/skills were slowly achieved and presented to us as an audience ... but it went away ... disappeared.

Even though I did not like the MLs response to finding out the ā€˜big secret’, I like the FL and MLs reaction and eventual resolution. The scenes on the mountain and finding out about the horrors Ye Li had to endure could have been pushed a little further and deeper, but I liked it.

The MLs role as a whole was a little lacking though; I think all those extra episodes would have been a great opportunity to show us more of his struggles and feelings I wanted to see more emotion, he went from a great warrior to being wheelchair bound, he was made to marry and was looked down upon ...... such a shame we were robbed of that story.

All the side characters were fine, but their stories were lacking depth and seemed more like episode fillers. Their end game was also flat and seemed bittersweet ... yet it wasn't?

Ye Li family seemed to get away with murder ... hmmm. Where did they go ... Did I miss something?

I guess Mo Jing Li / Prince Li was a 2nd ML? the closest thing to it anyway ... but where was his story? His reason for doing what he was doing ... was that it? His drive, his past, his mental state, ... to escape and lead so many men ... to become capable of doing those things yet fail so miserably ... It would have been nice, as an audience to go through that with him. The actor did such a great job, but I feel like he was not given the opportunity to show his acting ability.

For some reason the FL and ML seemed absent, in the literal sense; so much screen time was given to side characters.

The OST was hidden in the background of the show, in some scenes it did eventually show up, and that was nice. All in all, it was OK, was it re-watchable ... not so sure.

EDIT: I am about to watch this for the 3rd time ....................................

Average and cliche romcom. Overrated because of famous cast.

Just average romcom drama, with unnecessary scene to extend the duration and episode's of the drama.
I'm really looking forward to this drama because it has Wang Churan as the FL, but the choice of the male lead to play the role was not quite right, the good things in this drama just the comedy from main leads.
Slow-burn romance story, whenever a conflict arises (which I think includes a lot of unimportant things), the resolution is always rushed and made overly melodramatic.
The story are boring and cliche, actually there is no need for this drama to have as many as 36 episodes.

The chemistry between the two leads doesn't feel romantic at all, it feels more like a sibling dynamic.
The scriptwriter cannot portray a couple who love each other and choose one another. As a result, scriptwriters introduced elements of misunderstanding, a lack of communication, and work-related issues, leading to a silly resolution that felt forced.

And what the heck scriptwriter did to the other couple, treating them as if they were unimportant and merely there to pad out the episode's runtime. Only made the drama even worse.

Sometimes, a talented actor like Wang Churan and others famous actors ends up in a mediocre production. It wasn't because of an inability to act or a mistake in choosing the drama, it was simply because it was a job.

A female-led revenge, with themes of women empowerment

Stop. I get it now.

I finally understand why people love this drama so much.

Going into The Glory, all I knew was that it was a female-led revenge drama with very little romance, and that the romance itself would be a toxic enemies-to-lovers relationship.

Turns out it was so much more.

I love stories where women take center stage, and this drama delivers exactly that. The female cast is phenomenal. Every woman feels distinct, complex, and deeply flawed in her own way.

Best of all, they're treated like actual human beings.

They're allowed to make terrible decisions. They're allowed to be selfish. They're allowed to fail. They're allowed redemption.

From the mother consumed by vengeance, to the scheming concubine forever plotting her next move, to the female lead's half-sister hopelessly in love with the male lead, every woman has her own motivations and desires.

ā™§ And then there's Zhuang Hanyan herself. An angel's face with the mind of a devil. Absolutely loved her. 10/10 diva. No notes.

You know what I loved even more?

For once, this drama places the blame where it belongs.

With the M*N.

(Get it? It's a curse word. šŸ˜)

Watching each of them meet the consequences of their own actions was endlessly satisfying. As they should. As they deserved.

What I appreciated most was that the story never lost sight of the system these women were trapped in. So many of the conflicts between women existed because they were forced to survive in a world designed by and for men. Instead of reducing them to jealous rivals, the drama shows how that system twists people, pits women against one another, and makes survival itself a competition.

ā™§ My absolute favourite part, though, was the mother-daughter relationships.

The bond between Zhuang Hanyan and her mother, and later the parallels between Hanyan and her own daughter...

Those scenes gave me chills.

The moment she recognizes that history could repeat itself, and then chooses differently, was beautiful. Half the times I cried were because of those mother-daughter moments. That dynamic gets me every single time.

ā— WHAT I DIDN'T LOVE:

The male lead.

He's... fine.

I understand his hesitation. I understand why he spent so long trying to keep his distance from Hanyan, and once they were married he consistently stood by her, protected her, and defended her whenever anyone tried to tarnish her reputation.

I respect him. I just never became emotionally attached to him. Even by the finale, my feelings towards him stayed pretty lukewarm.

And naturally, because I never really connected with him, the romance didn't do much for me either.

Thankfully, that's only a tiny portion of the story, maybe five percent at most.

ā— CONCLUSION:

The heart of The Glory is its revenge, its exploration of motherhood, the women at its centre, and the resilience they show despite everything stacked against them.

Those were the parts I absolutely adored.

ABSOLUTE CINEMA

Most likely the best revenge historical drama/series I've ever seen.
Biggest mastermind known to men, amazing story, plot twists 24/7, very broad story with multiple nuances.
Characters with a distinct purpose and background, followed by great acting.

Main lead is just from a different planet, incredible drama with amazing acting.
Stumbled onto this by a chance and got such an amazing surprise.
Amazed by how this wasn't blowing up when it came out cause it's definitely a masterpiece in my eyes.
