Wonderful romance beteen two unlikely lovers
I thoroughly enjoyed this series. Zhao Lusi and Lin Yushen did a stellar job bringing the characters to life. Lin Yushen's Lu Jin, a mid-30s CEO who is rich and successful on the outside but lonely and slightly bitter on the inside, is really the star of the show as he learns to navigate his unexpected feelings for Gu Shengnan, a pretty, talented young chef. Lu Jin is an expert in business but a novice in love, and his fumbling attempts to win Shengnan's made me smile over and over. The age gap of 15 years between them faded away as they discovered they were a perfect fit, filling in the empty holes in each other's life. There are a few familiar tropes here: disapproving mother, scheming secretary who is secretly infatuated with her boss, even a weaselly younger brother willing to use Shengnan for his own ends. The final few episodes were slightly frustrating as the conflict could have been cleared up with an honest conversation, but given Lu Jin's workaholic background and inexperience in opening up to someone, it made sense. This was one of the best C-dramas of the year for me. Highly recommended!

ABSOLUTE MUSTWATCH! Staggeringly affecting and will leave a lasting impression!
Truly well-directed, well-acted, well-produced piece of cinema which moves even the last part of one's heart and soul. What a master script and story! The acting and the cast.. The young actors, the teenagers and the adult ones portrayed Yuan so well! Wow!
I am in awe! My heart is still beating fast after that intimate scene which was more a clip of all their thoughts abd moments..
The story was so well-crafted. I am moved to read Priest's actual novel on which this series is based.
Please watch it. Be patient. It is true korean cinema, with its own slow-burn and patient storytelling .
10 out of 10. Thank you to all the Unknown team for bringing this to us audience. Thank you!

Wife commits adultery and gets pregnant. Husband apologizes to wife and begs her to come back
This show is primarily a glorification of adultery by Chinese women and shows contempt for decent, hard-working Chinese men who are doing their best to take care of their families. All Chinese dramas written by Chinese women encourage female adultery and portray such women as victims of men, and this show is no different.
Show is set against the backdrop of a team of MALE gynecologists/obstetricians and it fall into the typical trap of obsessing about the medical business and spends too much time on the medicine instead of the characters.
The male characters themselves are cheesy and are portrayed using the Chinese feminist stereotype of men who are SIMPS and cuckolds. All the men are feminized and behave like women, cry tears like women and not one has any testicles. They also follow the tired and false Chinese stereotype of getting drunk and not remembering anything the next day. Despite getting hammered with alcohol these drunk Chinese men can somehow defy the laws of biology and get an erection to make women pregnant. In real life no adult man is capable of performing (except horny teenagers overflowing with testosterone) when they are so drunk that they can't remember anything.
The female characters are the real men in this show. They aggressively scream, shout, criticize the men and treat them with contempt. And when these women are caught cheating, then they blame the men for causing the women to cheat. The men are all supposed to hide the fact that these women are committing adultery and no one is allowed to reveal the women's cheating to their husbands/boyfriends/family et. because then the women would be humiliated and suffer consequences, which is not allowed according to the rules of Chinese feminist writers.
The men are also required to apologize to their cheating wives and then beg these adulterous women to forgive the men and go back to them.
The LM is the classic Chinese SIMP - soft spoken, gentle, works hard to earn and take care of his wife, always begs his wife for affection and has his tail tucked between his legs like a scared dog. He also has no TESTOSTERONE and is essentially 100% woman in a man's body.
The LM's wife hates the fact that her husband is doing a good job of taking care of the family, so she goes out and has sex with another man and gets pregnant by him. This is discovered by her parents, sister, the LM's male and female colleagues.
But no one is ALLOWED to reveal the cheating wife's actions to the LM because the rules of Chinese feminist writers say that a cheating wife is NEVER wrong and cannot be held accountable.
The only female character who actually behaves like a real woman would have made a decent wife is ostracized and isolated because she would have made a great wife for the LM, by taking care of him and the house. She is also considered evil since she cooks for the LM and truly loves him. But she and the LM are not allowed to get together since that would humiliate the cheating wife. This female character's was portrayed by an actress who stole the spotlight from the LF by the power of her performance.
So, the LM is now supposed to be so much in love with a woman who cuckolded him and got pregnant by her lover, that the LM has to apologize to his cheating wife and beg her to take him back. Which is what happens finally when he marries the cheating wife again and the poor girl who truly loves him is thrown out.
Ultimately, this drama is a showcase for the left-over women of China who are told that all their cheating and bad behavior is not really bad and the women do not have to feel guilty or change their behaviours. These adulterous women are told that fault lies entirely with the men in their lives for causing the wife to commit adultery. So the men must beg for forgiveness and the adulterous women can then magnanimously take their poor husbands back.

Seven years to forever.....
People change and people in love are those who feel it the most. They grow comfortable with the pattern of living and most often it is the one who is more sensitive that struggles. Conversations are pushed aside for the drive to succeed at a job. Especially when one party is experiencing life at a slower pace and in a totally different environment and with a different set of friends. Over time, they drift apart, and the unspoken conversations become the wall between them. The midnight discourses wrapped in each others arms are replaced with turned backs and cold pillows. Anniversaries are forgot and the feeling of being abandoned is felt by the one noticing but still too hurt to speak. Seven years is all it took.Hyeon and Jin were not the exception. They fell into the pattern as they sought different goals and didn't remember to hold each other. Jin, the sensitive one, felt it when his feelings were pushed aside and ignored as Hyeon buried himself in the corporate world. A subordinate brings a drunken Hyeon on their forgotten anniversary. The following day, a generic gift suggested by Hyeon's subordinate was the last straw. The break happens. Roles reversed, he collects a drunken Jin, and the words he receives finally sinks in. He understands.
The actors filled these short episodes with decent acting that the message lands squarely at our feet. Treasuring the person who is your person is what will make forever worth it. I loved when Hyeon realistically said, "Nothing lasts forever. The day will come when we see the end. That day... let's make it the day we start over." Life will happen. Obstacles will come. Let's take that end and make a new beginning.
The message that it delivers with the limited resources makes it worth the effort to watch. Jin's pain was effectively displayed and so too was Hyeon's remorse and pleas for forgiveness. A mature resolution to a situation that would see some couples choose differently. Worth a thought.

Engaging watch all the way through. It's a must watch
I went into this without watching the anime or the Japanese live action adaptation, and tbh it stands strong as a great standalone series. The CGI was incredible. It looked so real and you can tell a lot of detail and effort went into every scene. The storyline was solid with good pacing. Most of the major questions were answered and the plot flowed really well from start to finish. The final fight scene left me pretty satisfied too. The acting was fantastic. Every performance felt believable and added depth to the story. It is a great science fiction thriller that perfectly balances melodrama, action, suspense and gore all in one.Would I recommend watching it? Hell yeah
I am honestly surprised it has not gained as much attention as it deserves.
My only complaint is that Netflix did not include a second season. There is definitely potential to go deeper with the story and characters if they continued it.
to conclude, Parasyte the grey is an engaging, thrilling and well made series that is absolutely worth your time.

Unbearable, but a Masterpiece ✨
Watching this entire drama will need a lot of courage, but you get to feel the after pleasure with no doubt. The FL mother role is so infuriating to most of us, but that shows how her acting has moved us!Zhang binbin is truly an immaculate actor, he does justice to the role with no doubts (the cake scene; the best scene from his work.)
Mao xiaotong is incredible at all of her work, her acting skills has always been reaching heights.!🥹
All of those supporting characters have done the bestest possible (chuchu, officer zhang and lin, FL's brother and so on)
This was a great watch fr!🫶

I hate unnecessarily and baseless drama in BL!
I really enjoyed this in the first 3 or so episodes but further you watch, the more stupid it gets.I cant stand when couples fight for no apparent reason. One of them just starts drama over nothing and they break up. This happenes to 2nd couple. Like one minute they're making out then next minute one of them is angry over nothing and doesnt want to talk about it so they break up. And 2nd couple was more steamy and interesting.
Main couple... Mild is so annoying, why is he acting like he's 12, dude is in college studying to be a doctor. He's like scared to hold hands. Then they break up because apparently Knight r*ped Mild at some party. And he takes WAY TOO LONG to try to explain what happened. Like write him a long damn message if he doesnt want to see you, do something. Thats such a serious accusation against you. Also where did this accusation even come from? Like yeah, the brother saw Knight on top of sleeping Mild but he was fully clothed and gone from the group for literal minutes, why did you ever assumed that he r*ped him? At best I'd think he kissed him without consent.
Anyway, by episode 7 the script is driving me crazy.

Favorite c drama of all time
This is my favorite c drama. I've rewatched it 5 times and each time I notice more and more nuances, motifs, and understand li xun and his reactions, decisions and thoughts more and more!! The writing is full of quiet motifs that only reveal themselves after you know what’s coming: every look, every pause, every half-smile carries weight once you understand his past and how deeply he loves yet fears loss. What makes this drama stand out isn’t just the romance — it’s how truthfully it portrays two people growing through pain, misunderstanding, and redemption. Li Xun isn’t a cold genius; he’s a man who learned too early that vulnerability invites loss, and the story slowly unravels how Zhu Yun’s presence challenges that belief. Their love feels raw, sometimes messy, but always deeply human.
The cinematography, music, and pacing all serve the emotional arc — restrained yet powerful. Even small details like where each conversation takes place (rooftop vs. base) mirror their emotional distance and growth. It’s rare to find a drama that rewards rewatching this much, where every gesture or line carries new meaning once you understand the full story.
Lighter and Princess isn’t about perfection — it’s about two people learning how to love without running, to forgive without forgetting, and to believe again after breaking. For me, it’s not just a romance — it’s a meditation on fear, pride, and what it means to finally be free enough to love.

Idk if you're gonna like it honestly....
I think if you go into this seeing it as less of a drama, and more of an extended music video or the movie cut from a video game, you might like it better. It's the direction that's the most at fault for this... many scenes that in a normal drama would be filmed with a still camera shot, are instead filmed with a thatrically lit moving camera shot. Not just key parts of scenes, but little things like "the chauffer picks up the FL and takes her to the mansion" etc, are filmed dynamically and stylistically, and this creates the "music video" effect.
Everyone's makeup is just a liiiiitle too thick, everyone's clothing styles are just a liiiiiiitle too tryhard.
The acting is amateurish, especially on the part of the FL, who has weak acting and weak kiss game. She's holding her mouth closed like a nun sometimes during kiss scenes, and it looks like she's not into him at ALL. She just wants to act out the scenes, pick up her paycheck, and gtfoutta there. The ML is the only one who could keep up his end of the story. His acting was a little flat, but he got some riz and with more experience and a different director, he could probably improve quite a bit.
The story is ok, but it's hard to keep your attention on it because the director's sense of pacing is ALL OFF, and so it puts you to sleep when it shouldn't. The ending was interesting, although it's like 50% cool and 50% facepalm. With better acting and directing, maybe it could have been more like 90% cool. If this was how Sima Jao's story ended it would be sort of cute I suppose.
It does have a few redeeming qualities, but I was not a fan.

pretend like the ending doesn't exist and the show ended after episode 18
this drama is how i want all my modern cdramas to be like.definitely exceeded my expectation IF they had stopped at ep 18, which they didnt but since i pretend like it did the review will be based on that! ^^
whats good:
-chemistry b/w leads is impeccable, like it cant get better, their lovey dovey moments make me jealous as hell and i always felt like i was interrupting
-i felt like the pacing was perfectly, although there were timeskips the flow to each one was nice, no problem or arc was dragged on for too long and lasted enough to be enjoyable and fulfilling
-all the characters are gems, they add to the story and keep the plot going, they're all funny and have unique gurisk which made the show jst sooo enjoyable to watch
-the cinematography was so cozy imoo
what isnt:
-last arc was too unnecessary and stupid to talk about
-that one fight b/w the main lead wasnt dragged out but was exaggerated, it would've been better and more in character if they jst sat down and COMMUNICATED.
-no proper conclusion for the male leads best friend and cousin, they were so cute :(
overall,
its a solid and worth it story if u keep watching till episode 18,
would i rewatch? for their cute moments and kisses? a hundred times yes
would i recommend? yesss ^^
8/10 solidd

Exceptionally done!!!
Where to even begin with a fantastic series of this caliber!I loved every minute of it, and I was immersed in it 100%!
Starting with such a well written story. The dialogue and interactions were always pertinent to its telling and it flowed from beginning to end. Even the character reactions were realistic to their situations which made it all so believable. So few BL stories have left me clamoring for the next episode and feeling so immersed in it.
The acting was above par by the entire cast. They played their characters very well and I really have to congratulate them all on their achievements here. The two male leads had just the right chemistry and you rooted for them, the bad guys were very detestable, the good guys you’ll care about, but the female lead was so strong in both character and acting that she almost stole the show for me.
I cried for the last 5 episodes just for her pain and almost couldn’t rejoice in the BL couple because she was done so dirty. I would have slapped them both two more times at least and kicked them in the Crown Jewels before letting go of that pain of betrayal. Her reactions were normal for her pain even if you don’t agree with them. I’m glad she could let go of it all to live better. I would have liked to see her with a better ending, with someone who loved, took care of her, and made her his world, to alleviate how I felt of her taking all that on. I guess I’ll have to be content that she was just happiER in the end.
The music didn’t really stand out enough for me(which is usually my focus) so I’ll only rate it as good. The pacing was always moving forward, never boring. I also couldn’t find too many flaws in this. I think the story was written, acted and directed so well I overlooked any of it and feel it’s not worth taking away from the overall value of this series. So I highly recommend this to watch and rewatch again! Congratulations to the entire team on this!!!

The female protagonist is uncomprehensible and ridiculous
Please somebody explain to me why a girl who desperately chase a guy even when he pushes her away, at the 15th episode decides that it is far too painful to stay with him with no valid reason. All of a sudden she decides to leave him making him feel guilty, like he is the problem...these stupid turns at the end of a love story are ridiculous, they make no sense whatsoever. A real pity considering Lee Jun ho was marvellous all the way through. I wanted to really give a good 8.5 mark to this drama but the end was far too difficult to understand. Please make script where female protagonists, sound more real and logical. Was this review helpful to you?
CUTEE!!! GAVE IT A TRY AFTER ALL THE BAD REVIEWS
its for sure not for everyone... and has a common plot we so often see in bl. BUT why are all the reviews here so aggressive. i almost dropped. it cute sweet kinda plot. you know the high school sweetheart vibe. something i have to point out is i LOVE how fah (ML) is sooooo respectful and sweet with terak (ML). i mean ofcourse look at terak no one can even think about bullying him after seeing his smile. terak is very sweet and the baby of everyone. sure the plot wasnt very much awesome or anything but its supposed to be a very light watch. those who are looking for best bl of the year kinda stuff go for that...others give one episode a try guys. LOOKING FORWARD TO MORE FROM THIS CUTE SHIP....!!!!! btw both of them visually suit each other well. face cards don't decline u guysWas this review helpful to you?

Blushing, crying, can't move one??♀️yes that's me?❤️
⭐ 5/5 – The best drama ever 😭💖This is honestly the best drama I’ve ever watched in my life. Every actor played their role perfectly.. they’re all so handsome and pretty! 😭✨
The story is super interesting, not like those typical dramas. I couldn’t even skip or fast-forward a single scene because every moment felt important. Each episode made me so excited to see what happens next ..there’s seriously no boring part at all!
The best thing is the chemistry between Ruan Lanzhu and Ling Jiushi. It seriously made me blush 😳❤️ I know it’s bromance, but watching them feels like seeing two people who truly complete each other. The way they quietly care and protect one another..... ahh it’s just so beautiful 😭💞
This drama even made me cry so hard 😭 The last time I cried like this was when I watched The Untamed, hahaha. I actually tried watching this drama twice before but got stuck at episode 2 and 4. Then when I had nothing else to watch, I tried again and now I’m totally in love and can’t move on 😂🙌🏻 It’s literally The Untamed syndrome all over again haha.
You guys seriously need to watch this drama. Trust me, you won’t regret it. It’s just too good 😭🔥
The ending ...hurmm it was a bit disappointing, even now I'm still hoping for a continuation or at least special episode..like lingling waited 50 years to meet them, but in the end , it just stops there 💔but still except the ending everything's perfect...
One more mystery (who's actually lingling old friend)???haha

My heart breaks for Pin.
From wardrobe (except that hideous pink dress), to set locations (the same used in memoir of Rati), this drama is stunning and truly feels appropriate of the Era it's set in.The three mains have a wonderful chemistry with each other, the pacing of the story is perfect, the shady uncle and his wife are hilarious and the father a truly hate worthy villain.
As the story progressed I got more and more invested and was bracing myself for the moment Pin found out as I didn't want that beautiful and kind girl to suffer. And then it happened,Pin my dear I was rooting for you, we were all rooting for you!! You just had to turn around and become an insufferable little witch; I guess it's better to resent her than have to endure her pain, eventually she did turn back into the loveable sweetheart that grabbed my heart but I still resent her a little.
Some minor flaws here and there so insignificant that I won't even complain (The cops don't exist in this world, people can just shoot, kidnap and stab people, without consequences).
I truly enjoyed this one and I might even dare say that I liked it better than I feel you linger in the air and I liked that one so much that I already rewatched 3 times.
