Solid as Legal and College Life Drama

Law School tells the story of a murder in the law faculty of Hankuk University that involves the students and professors there. The series follows one big murder case involving one of the professors across all 16 episodes, but it also includes various smaller cases and court scenes along the way.

What I love about this series is the friendship and college life aspects. How they help each other with their problems from the college exam to each other "court" problems. Each character also has their own issues and shows great development throughout the entire series. The law classes appear here and there, they're kinda hard to follow, but it's still fine for me.

The script is solid and tight, and the acting from the entire cast is really good. Even though some scenes feel overdramatic and the editing feels rushed in places, but overall, it's a very enjoyable series for me.

SCIENCE MEETS OBSESSION

The story is set in a future world (2051) and explores a 'genetic mystery'. Wu Nongyu, a gentle graduate student in genetic engineering, crosses paths with Xie Xinxu, a brilliant but emotionally detached man with antisocial tendencies. Their connection is driven by 'genetic compatibility' or a 'biological affinity' so strong it challenges logic. Xie Xinxu, who lacks empathy, essentially 'hunts' Wu Nongyu, guiding her into his world while they navigate a perilous journey involving hidden research facilities and 'affinity inhibitors'.

The most praised aspect of the drama is the 'feral' chemistry between the leads. Many viewers note the high level of 'skinship' and steamy scenes that push the boundaries of typical C-drama censorship. Cui Yuxin's portrayal of Xie Xinxu as a 'walking red flag' who slowly learns human emotion has won over many fans. The show blends tropes like 'Omegaverse' ( Alpha/Omega dynamics), "Esper-guide', and the dark romance with a 'Resident Evil'-style sci-fi backdrop. With episodes lasting only a few minutes, it delivers major plot points and emotional payoffs every 15-18 minutes.

However, critics describe the plot as a '1000 foot drop in logic' and a 'fever dream'. You often have to 'turn off your brain cells' to enjoy the erratic storytelling. While the camera quality is good, the CGI is frequently criticized as looking like a 'school videography project', including a bizarre scene involving an orange octopus. Also, the tone can jump from a life-or-death thriller to slapstick comedy within minutes, causing 'emotional whiplash'.

In conclusion, if you overlook the questionable CGI and a plot that defies physics, it offers some of the most intense chemistry and creative world-building seen in the 2026 short-form drama market

A VERY CUTE DRAMA ! Need a 10/10 ??

This is an adorable drama that approaches romantic relationships from a different angle. It's not about physical intimacy or seriousness, but rather a kind of friends-with-benefits dynamic that has all the best qualities of a relationship. All of this is carried by a great cast of two very cute young people who make a beautiful, simple couple where neither is toxic nor annoying. Beautiful shots, beautiful moments, beautiful music… this drama has everything to charm! The ending is sublime, and the manga's themes are interesting. I had a wonderful time watching it, and I'm so glad I didn't rely on the disastrous ratings on kisskh, because there, all Japanese dramas are poorly rated before they've even been seen. Honestly, I highly recommend this drama, and I'm delighted to have translated it.

OVERHYPED!!

watch it if you love getting rage baited!
In terms of acting all have done a great job, but plot wise its not worth the time!!
there were lot of missing parts n it just felt so confusing
i honestly was going to drop it but i really wanted to see how Hua yong would resolve or confess the truth!
but it was very disappointing coz the fact that Sheng just forgave Hua yong pisses me off, there is no character development for Hua yong at all!!
n dont even get me started on the second couple, the amount of miscommunication is just insane, and they were not even given a proper ending!!

Very youthful drama with ups and downs of life

This drama showed a unbreakable bond between neighbour and friends.. The kids grow up, become friends, fall in love dispite the challenges and misunderstanding.. Bitter sweet reletionship of friends.. Parents unconditional love for their child
Although the story could be bit better I still rate it 10. Lin Shiyin and Zhang Qi could be a couple. Until 34th episode I waited for them to become couple.. At last I thought that maybe Shao Xue will throw her wedding flower bouquet and Shi Yin and Zhang Qi will catch it... But nothing happened.. They remained friends...
Also, If Sunian supported Shao Xue for going aboard and had a good long distance relationship instead of breaking up, the story would be the best.. But their love is genuine that they are meant to be together.. Eyes are full of love from the depth of heart . After all, this is my favourite drama, not knowing why .... I found myself rewatching the drama again and again...

Definitely Top 5 of 2025

This was such an incredible show. It seems like The plot is being missed by many who has been reviewing and it’s sad. To some up the plot of this show.. basically the BL/GL and just drama industry, and how to actors COULD fall in love and how the industry would react to it. Once Atkins did not sign with Sigma, they wanted to destroy him.

this show takes you behind the scenes of what actors really have to go through to prepare for scenes, How other costars could respond to seeing real chemistry, And how the industry could take advantage of that while also adding in a stalker Who is supposed to be a fan but you realize that she only wants to possess him and when she can’t or sees that he actually has a partner she wants to expose him. (Which is all realistic and does happen in Thailand in the industry right now). and them handling it the best way they could if you notice they actually never came out to the world only people who knew that they were together or even infatuated with each other where people around them. AKA Private not secret!! ❤️

The fact that this is going over so many people’s hands is actually the problem.

Aside for comedic child swap, everything was boring.

I watched this because of Cheng Zi on last year. But I was surprised how the 2023-2024 drama trends come again for a while. It's about generic plot FL and ML got one-night stand FL was pregnant with twins but her son was getting kidnapped and somehow ended in ML hands.

I really want to slap the ML's brother. Other brothers are the first to discover the truth, but this one is more trouble than he's worth. According to the plot, FL is probably only looking for her son and has no feelings for the ML. ML kisses FL every time they meet, which make him more like obsessive person.

ML was the dumbest CEO in short drama. His son was autistic and being bullied by his tutor, and he doesn't even know? If the FL hadn't discovered it, his son would have continued to be bullied by outsider.

This one adds some comedic elements, such as teaching the child homework, and the child swapping makes it more fun. ML was quite dumb for not recognizing his own sons.

Only for hardcore fans who didn't mind stupid plot.

Guo Yuxin in her wacky role

I watched this last year and it was quite refreshing for Guo Yuxin since the FL was quite spunky with cheerful personality. Her chemistry with Gao Minrui was decent to watch.

This drama is not transmigration nor reborn plot. The plot is about FL was once save ML and he always remember her. ML returned to his county to work on disaster relief. He took in the FL and her sister, who had been kicked out of their home. The two married, settled down, raised disaster relief funds, and became role models for women everywhere. FL has a fiery and resilient personality, but her actions as a native were somewhat outrageous for that era it would be better if they add time travel plot.

Almost every villain gets to redeem themselves. The family scenes were heartwarming. The end was so sweet and this drama is absolutely no angst included.

Still decent watch.

Please give Melody of Secrets a chance.

The Bad: A weird plot and poor storytelling initially.
The Good: Beautiful cinematography, fantastic soundtrack, and stellar acting by ForceBook.

The first half of the first episode was terrible, and I can honestly see why so many people dropped it. However, the latter half saved the show for me, and I think those who gave up on Melody of Secrets made a huge mistake. The chemistry between Force and Book was absolutely sizzling.

The story wasn't actually that bad in hindsight; it’s just that there’s a plot twist that makes the first few episodes difficult to follow. Once everything is cleared up, it all makes sense in the end. In my opinion, the best part of this drama is the romance between Tankhun and Botpleng; ForceBook owned every single scene they shared.

While I didn’t care much for the other characters, my eyes were glued to the screen every time Book appeared. My heart ached whenever a tear fell from his eyes. Book did so well, I’m so proud of him. Force deserves just as much credit—he was the hot criminologist I never knew I needed! He usually plays stoic characters, and while Tankhun is somewhat similar, Force showed great improvement in his acting. He did so well during the emotional scenes, that I want to get a hug from him as well. And the kisses! EVERY. SINGLE. EPISODE. Oh my god, totally not complaining, keep it coming, ig?!?

Each scene featuring the two of them was shot beautifully. Between the visuals and the overall vibes, the production was incredible, I even found myself taking screenshots throughout the episodes.

It’s great to see a couple like ForceBook branch out. The genre shift definitely added a layer of intrigue that set it apart from the typical BL formula.

I have to give it to them for taking on such challenging roles. While Enchanté, A Boss and a Babe, and Perfect 10 Liners felt somewhat similar in tone, they really showed their potential in Only Friends and Peaceful Property. Now, with Melody of Secrets and their upcoming show Lovers and Gangsters, they are proving they can handle much darker, more complex material. It’s been an impressive evolution to watch. ForceBook’s filmograply is impressive, which can’t be said for many other CPs. I truly think people are sleeping on them, which is a shame. They choose their projects carefully, and they always deliver.

Overall, I think Melody of Secrets deserves to be given a chance. It’s unique, intriguing, and different from the usual BL stories. I didn’t expect it, but it’s now one of my all-time favorites.

If you want to see ghost theme drama, it just appear of first scene and they dissapeared.

It's been long time since i watch Jia Yixuan drama (even her dramas with Chen Si that i was anticipated, i still never complete it for some reason) and yeah i got this from Tik Tok Recommendation.

Jia Yixuan's acting is okay; she portrays two different personalities well, one pure and innocent (Bai He), the other ghostly and alluring (A Lian). Guo Haojun plays FL's childhood friends who secretly loves her but due to his identity, he's never confessed his love. After learning the FL's true identity, to allow her to use him without burden and willing to sacrifice himself to help her set up a scheme. The chemistry between the leads are quite fine to watch.

The plot is actually good but they cannot executed well, trying to create a twist, misunderstanding that the younger sister is the bad guy but it turns out she's the good one. But the result is just so-so. There are more another errors. The show says it's ten years after Bai He's death, but Lord Wen's appearance hasn't changed at all over ten years.

The plot logic is somewhat inconsistent; the blood pact mentioned in the show isn't clearly explained. FL casually revealed her identity to the villain without any fear of being plotted against or retaliated against. Few of supporting actors acting were awkward; especially the FL younger sister.

The only highlight is the ghostly appearance in the first scenes.. It feels like it was just a gimmick. I came in because of this setting, but I was disappointed with this. It would be better if they create revenge drama with ordinary person from beginning.

Actual concept of this drama was quite potential, but it wasn't utilized well, resulting in a somewhat chaotic production. The editing was so sloppy making this drama was disjointed.

Maybe if you are fans of the actor, you could enjoy this.

A slice of police life with the past

I can only write this after watching 10 episodes, because I just feel like this drama is worth watching, not just because my bias, Gong Jun, plays the role.

This drama offers a glimpse into the daily lives of police officers with all its problems. The three police officers each have their own dark stories. We're invited to delve deeper into them as we follow them as they solve cases.

In total, out of 30 episodes, there will reportedly be 11 cases explored. So far, the case resolutions are quite brief, about 3 episodes per case. They're not overly lengthy. But if you're into gore or bloody forensics, this won't do; the forensics are more lighthearted here. And that's not the point; the emphasis is more on the investigation, the pursuit of criminals, and the theories.

This drama also offers a slice of life, the hustle and bustle of police life, to the point where they're told to disperse even while eating because of a case. Or those who were trying to get close but were suddenly told to get together, or even those who divorced because they were busy. What's touching is that this division even had time to cook food for the cleaning staff who worked until night or dawn during their hectic case-solving schedules.

It's a police story, but there's a love story, apparently, that doesn't make it in. Wait a minute, the love story is related to the reason the woman chose to become a police officer, so it had to be included. The love story isn't just a romantic kissing scene, either. It's more about an internal conflict due to a misunderstanding in their past. So now they have to face it in their respective professions.

If you're curious, give it a try. There's also the added bonus of Jun2 riding a motorcycle and racing, which is quite eye-opening. Oh well, just watch it. I'd say it's good and very addictive, and I can't wait for the next episode.

Beautifully done but...

Mixed feelings on this one. I absolutely love the work and attention to detail to make the actors playing these instruments look believable. As a former violin player myself, seeing poorly acted instrument playing is one of my pet peeves. I don't know that I've seen anything better in screen as an example of how to do this right. A lot of the music details written into the script made it .more of a nostalgic and immersive experience for me (with very few exceptions: like how they mention multiple times that bridge of a violin is very difficult to damage. And it kills me because there's a scene where the 2nd FL sets casually her violin facedown once --a HUGE no no. One of the first things drilled into your head as a violin player is NOT to do this because the bridge is super delicate and easy to break or knock out of place. But honestly, a few things wrong here or there didn't ruin this for me

The plot did. The pacing was ridiculously slow with to much drama and very little payout. The main conflicts are understandable but easily avoidable and over-emphasized. I also didn't feel much chemisty between any of the leads, except for thay extremely thorough and swoonworthy first kiss. While the attnetion to detail was amazing, I just didn't like how the story was told.

That being said, I can understand why some people loved it. I have never seen Park Eun Bin a role that she hasn't been spectacular in, this included. The cast was great. The music was beautiful, and some of the scenes themselves were works of art.

Overall, it's a beautiful peek into the world and struggles of performing arts, albeit a bit of yawner at times.
