A piece of art

It’s kinda crazy but I’m not gonna lie, every single episode had me crying, laughing, blushing and going crazy. There wasn’t a single boring moment in this masterpiece at all. I personally LOVE the cast so much, it really fit’s the story so well. And big shoutout because it was the first ever drama I watched where I didn’t IMMEDIATELY knew who was gonna end up with who. Yes I’m gonna be honest I was still rooting for RayMew pretty long even tho I knew Ray is gonna end up with Sand anyways. But still I loved that this wasn’t as predictable as many other series. And what I also loved about this: it contains every single emotion you can imagine and it made me feel every of them as if they were my own. It was intense, spicy, full of anger, obsession, possession and toxicity but also cute, funny, lovely and full of friendship and love and I personally adore this series for being able to put all of those together in just, idk was it 12 eps? And one more thing, let’s try is the best ost that ever existed. ARGUE WITH THE WALL. I didn’t skip the intro once.

Episode 8 is where they messed up big time

Overall, the show was so mid. If it weren't for Pond and Don, I would've rated it lower to be honest.

Things I liked:
-Than's parents! They are so cute and have such sweet love for each other and Than as well as the grandkids!
-Mawin & Nene! Absolutely loved these two so much! They were so fun and added such sass and funny moments to the series! They were in my top five characters in the series for sure!
-The group of three guys and two girls at Kin's work (AJ and them)! They brought such funny moments to the show. They were all such divas and I loved it. Wish we saw more of them honestly, especially the girls.
-Meya! Loved her!! She is so gorgeous too!
-Pond and Don's story!! I'll get more into that
-The wedding! I love when these series end with a wedding and theirs was so cute! Love that we saw people give speeches, dancing, the matching suits, the kids being a part of it, and the location, all of it I loved so much!!

Things I didn't like:
-Nat. He just annoyed me and seemed a little useless honestly
-Kin. I'll get more into that too.
-Kin and Than's relationship bored me. I liked them together, but they were so boring.
-The "what if" thing they did in the finale. Why did we spend 10 minutes on something we already knew the answer to. "What if that never happened? We would've been in love" ...Yeah no shit. We literally just watched a whole show about how despite all that, you were still in love.
-Kin leaving for that period of time just to show us that despite time apart they still love each other LIKE THAT WASN'T THE WHOLE PURPOSE OF THE SHOW TO BEGIN WITH. It felt like they just needed to fill airtime.

Kin and Than:
Let me start off by saying I do think they were cute together. They love each other a lot and nothing will ever stop that love. They're great dads/uncles to the kids too. I think the four of them will truly be happy together. That being said, all of this could've been avoided if Kin just TALKED TO THAN! And they prove that with their "what if" thing in the finale. Kin just annoyed me so much because if his communication issues. They were just kind of a boring couple. Neither one of them as individuals had a very interesting personality. Their personality was liking the other one and that was kind of it. They were just boring to watch. I was over them pretty quickly into the series.

Don and Pond:
These two were the best part of this show hands down. They're relationship was so good! I loved seeing their relationship develop over the show. They had phantastic chemistry too! The love they had for each other went so deep, even though they never got to express just how much they truly loved each other. I loved when they were on screen. I wish we got more time with them. Their ending was so upsetting though. Why did Don die? It felt so out of left field. And why was Pond the only one who cared that he died? Why was it so quickly rushed over? I've seen so many other viewers say it as well. I am glad they gave us more of Pond grieving and thinking of Don during the wedding, but it just felt so brushed over by everyone else in the show. I don't understand why it needed to happen anyway, but if you're going to go for this tragic moment spend more than five minutes on it! Pond's speech and the moment he had during the dance at the wedding broke me. It was devastating. Until the wedding though Pond also just became so unimportant in the show after Don died too which I didn't like. I just think the writers/creators of the show made a huge mistake killing him off. He was my favorite and one of the best, if not the best, character in the show. They deserved so much better.

Overall, it was just not good. It wasn't bad, but not good either. I really would not recommend it to people unless it was to just tell them to watch the Don and Pond storyline and skip everything else. Episode 8 really was a huge downfall for the show.

Beautiful Story!

I recently watched the drama "Meeting You", and I must say it was truly refreshing and beautiful — simply amazing! The story beautifully explores friendship from childhood, capturing memories that endure over the years. Themes of trust, dedication, patience, admiration, and love are delicately woven throughout, making it a heartfelt tear-jerker.

I've already watched it twice, and I can confidently say that if you’re looking for a stunning drama, this is it! The original soundtrack perfectly complements each scene and enhances the overall experience. The cast, especially the lead couple, were outstanding! Their portrayal of devotion, trust, and dependability is something that resonates deeply in today's world.

I wholeheartedly recommend you take the time to watch "Meeting You" and see for yourself. I’d love to hear your thoughts afterwards!

Not Groundbreaking, But Warm

I’ll start with the first 10 episodes because honestly… they feel like a completely different show.

The early episodes weren’t bad, but they were setting up a totally different vibe than what the drama eventually becomes. At first, you barely even see the male lead, and the female lead comes off as someone hopelessly in love with a guy who treats her terribly—which made her feelings a bit questionable. That said, even in those first 8–10 episodes, there was something that kept pulling me in and making me want to continue, and I’m really glad I stuck with it.

The male lead’s character shift after the first 10 episodes was honestly wild. At the beginning, he’s extremely cold, robotic, and almost nonexistent emotionally. Then suddenly—after that hospital scene when she cries—his entire personality flips. He becomes warm, supportive, and genuinely kind. The change was drastic, but I actually loved it. I’m really glad they didn’t drag out his cold phase for too long.

For me, the absolute star of the show is ZJM. She was completely immersed in her character—it genuinely felt like she wasn’t acting at all. Everything about her felt natural, relaxed, and effortless, like she was the character. I’ve watched her before and already loved her, but this role really sold me even more. She did the character so much justice.

I especially loved her character arc: achieving her goals, moving forward, and standing up for herself. She never waited for someone else to defend her, and I really appreciated that. She wasn’t a damsel in distress, and while I do sometimes enjoy that trope, it wouldn’t have suited her character at all. Seeing her choose herself, stay on the right path, and finally succeed was so satisfying.

Also, can we talk about her styling? I loved how her outfits evolved with her life stages—college outfits when she was younger, more serious workwear when she started working, and then elegant, boss-level looks when she rose up. That detail was chef’s kiss.

As for Song Weilong, this wasn’t my favorite role of his. His acting was good, but not amazing—I’ve definitely seen better performances from him. At times, it felt like he was following the script more than fully embodying the character, and the female lead honestly overshadowed him. That said, he still did a solid job. I was excited to see him play a CEO since we hadn’t really gotten that before, but he definitely felt more like a support character for the female lead rather than the main focus.

I did appreciate the message in his storyline though—that you don’t have to give up, that there’s always another path, and that if you truly love something, you can find your way back to it. I was really hoping he’d return to being a doctor, but as long as he was happy and doing something meaningful, I was okay with it. His styling was nice too, though I do wish his suits were tailored better—they didn’t always fit him perfectly.

Romance-wise, this was a very soft, healthy love story. It’s not groundbreaking or something completely new, but it is realistic and comforting. Just two people falling in love in a healthy, supportive way. The show focuses way more on them getting together than on their relationship after they’re together. Once they’re a couple, it’s very calm, mundane, and unproblematic—which honestly was refreshing.

One thing I really loved—and honestly don’t see often—was that this is one of the first shows I’ve watched where both leads are filthy rich. Like, actually rich-rich. They both own companies, they’re both successful, and the “rich couple” dynamic was on another level. What made it even better was that they were complete equals. There was no power imbalance, no one depending on the other financially, and no ego about it. Their wealth wasn’t their personality either—they were both humble, grounded, and normal despite having everything. I loved how the show treated richness as just a background detail rather than a defining trait, and it made their relationship feel even healthier.

There’s no dramatic push-and-pull or heavy tension. He likes her, he pursues her, they fall in love, and then… they continue living their lives together. For people who want a non-toxic, no-drama, lovey-dovey romance, this is perfect. I also loved the contrast between her first love—someone who never supported her—and the male lead, who always stood by her side. He was such a green flag.

The second male lead surprised me. I wanted to hate him, but the actor was handsome and carried the sadness really well. That said, he was sad for way too long, and his obsession with her after losing her got annoying. Still, every time the main couple casually flexed their relationship in front of him, I won’t lie—I enjoyed it way too much.

I do think the show was too long. 36 episodes felt unnecessary. There was also a heavy focus on the solar panel industry and work-related details, and honestly… I didn’t find that interesting. I get that they were trying to highlight the importance of renewable energy, but the technical details pulled me out of the story more than once. The CGI/green screen moments were also pretty bad and very distracting.

One of my favorite side characters was the cousin—he was fun, warm, and had great chemistry with the female lead. Every time he was on screen, I enjoyed it.

Visually, I loved how the drama showcased beautiful places around China. The scenery was stunning. That said, the story is supposedly set around 2013, and nothing about it actually felt like 2013. I understand why they did it for the solar panel storyline, but they could’ve leaned more into the time period with styling and details.

What really elevated the show for me was the final episode. It was beautifully done. Everything was wrapped up properly, and instead of unnecessary drama, we got to see them just… living life together as a family. Since the drama focused more on them getting together than being together, that last episode felt like a reward—and it was honestly one of the best finales I’ve seen in a while.

Overall, I think this is a drama people should go into knowing what they’re getting. It’s not overhyped, but it’s also not groundbreaking. If you’ve watched a lot of modern dramas, you’ve probably seen better—but this one is still nice. It’s very work-focused, more than I personally prefer, but if you’re looking for a healthy, low-drama, cozy romance where not much happens and everyone just vibes, this show might be for you.

Justice, Rage, and Perfection, Still Untouchable

Taxi Driver is not just a series to me it’s one of my all-time favorites, and Season 3 proves once again why it deserves that title. From the moment it starts, it reminds you exactly what it does best: righteous anger, sharp storytelling, and justice served without apology.

And yes it helps that my favorite actor Lee Je-hoon is leading the show. Watching him return to this role feels powerful, almost cathartic. He doesn’t just play the character; he owns it. Every stare, every controlled burst of rage, every quiet moment before violence hits he carries the weight of the stories with precision and heart.

Season 3 feels more confident, darker, and emotionally heavier. The cases hit hard, rooted in real societal wounds, and the show never waters them down. It balances action with meaning so well that every revenge feels earned, not glorified. You don’t just cheer you feel why this justice is necessary.

What I love most is how the series never loses its moral core. It asks uncomfortable questions, exposes cruelty, and still manages to give viewers a sense of release. Few dramas manage to stay this consistent across seasons, but Taxi Driver doesn’t just maintain its quality it elevates it.

This season solidifies Taxi Driver as one of the strongest, most satisfying Korean series out there. If you’ve loved it before, Season 3 will remind you why. And if you haven’t watched it yet? You’re missing out on something exceptional.

I really like BillyBabe as actors and I’ve enjoyed their previous series, which is why I had hopes for this one too 🌸

I’m still a bit unsure about how I feel overall. I tend to struggle with stories that mix past and present timelines, and that made it harder for me to fully connect.

That said, I’m looking forward to seeing what future projects they take on and hope those will suit them even better 💖

Main Leads Talk through problems and Stick together

This drama truly portrayed what life can be when there are ups and downs, especially in love. The female lead Hu Xiu and male lead Xiao Zhiyu/Qin Xiaoyi, show that love and problems can be faced together that you shouldn’t abandon the ones you love just because of difficulties you may be facing in your own life.

This mystery was truly very interesting. I’m telling you the first episode captivates you get you into the story, the plot, and the process are all very interesting. It ties you in you don’t even want to skip a second of it.

There is a breakup scene in this drama, but it wasn’t a true breakup where they decide to move on and spend years without each other. No, they actually went to talk it out, to face the problem together and the breakup scene probably lasted at most one episode. But it won’t feel like it’s too long because the process in which they find out about each other and look out for one another is really good and it makes up for any sad scenes you might feel.

I will say that the second lead couple is also really good. Zhao Xiaorou and Gong Huaicong needed more scenes together because the ending left a cliff hanger of how they would get together. They’re both such lighthearted people but truly care when difficulties arise—that’s something to admire. I really hope they make a SEASON 2 and show more about the process of getting the second leads together because they are so meant for each other and I love it.

To be honest this is the perfect drama for mystery romance and basically games as well. If you’re a person who’s into all of that, you’ll really love it. In addition to that, they have a really good amount of romantic scenes, not just them solving the problems of the murder mystery and all of that, they focus on the main leads romance! That’s what I feel should be the driving force for MOST Cdramas that create a story with two leads in a relationship. THEY ARE THE LEADS and we need to see more of their personal lives together, instead of focusing on external matters!!!!!!

To conclude, this is a drama I 1000% recommend to ANYONE! Please watch it guys🥹

Youth, friendship & love

‘We are’ is my number one comfort series and I would rewatch it at any time.
I highly recommend watching this series to anyone who enjoys easy-going but however entertaining and interesting dramas and loves this vibe of a big friend group where every character has it’s own personality, charm and story as much as me. I’ve been looking forward to the story of every side couple as well as the main couples and I really liked the way the whole drama was build up. Maybe this series isn’t as dramatic and doesn’t contain as much depth for every plot as other series, but still there was a backstory for every character and plot that happened. So I know some people enjoy those real DRAMAS that contain a lot of painful past and reason to everything and this series isn’t this kind of thing, but it made me feel the whole story as if it were my own, I felt every bit of joy, sadness, embarrassment, anger and love. I laughed, I cried and I hid under my blanket. Whenever I think about this drama I feel such an amount of nostalgia that I can’t describe it… The way they portrayed their friendship, relationships and emotions really got me. Personally this will always be one of my favourite series. Thank you GMMTV for producing this masterpiece that kinda healed me and made my realize what real friends are worth.

I have so many issues

Okayy sooo.... first the good things which there were two:

- The children and the actors playing them 10/10, would watch them in any other dram BL or non-BL any day.
- The second couple, what a chemistry! I don't think I have ever gotten so angry at a drama plot twist, than I got when I saw what the writes did to them in the EP 7 (I think).

On a more general themes what let this one down was the main plot. The whole misunderstanding who was Mawin's real father (which is the whole plot for the main couple) could have been solved by a phone call or a single short conversation. Aside from the very thin main plot and chemistry between Than and Akin, well it was good but not great. Which made what happened to the second couple even worse, considering that the show really needed them to pull trough all 10 episodes. Considering how little the main plot point gave to the show, this could have been a 8 episode series.

As a conclusion this goes to the category of series I would not watch again and will probably forget in a year. The second couple and children pull this one trough, but considering what happens to the second couple, well 10 episodes was too much. Hopefully the actors Year and Bee who played the second couple will get another series as a main couple, because I think they have a lot of potential.

It's bad but kinda addictive. Could have been par with To my shore with right direction & writing

I'm here just dor for Xuan Cheng. Can't believe he played Qi and Dr.Jiang the same year. Both characters are polar opposites.
Coming to the drama yes the background music and sounds are kinda awkwardly edited in but the drama as a whole although it's lowbudget and kinda bad it would make u wanna watch it. I really loved the outfits the cast wore. They were all really good. This story really had potential to be a toxic romance like "To my shore" but well the direction and the writing is kinda off. Also it's too short to add depth to the story.
I'm really not a fan of incest or step siblings romance but i gave it a go only for Xuan Cheng. Frankly i hated both the characters 😅 like 1 is a psychopath in love with his brother and is taking every action from his brother as concent and the other one is a floormat who knows his brother's mind but then decides to act like he doesn't.
I absolutely hated the ending. It felt like they stopped mid way. What was the plot then. A brother who loves his brother a lot.... and then what?????? Also there were lot of flaws like both of them are in debt but live a lavish life enough to pay for education abroad, hire help at the cafe they own etc. It was okay but not gonna watch it again😅

Communication For Dummies

This has got to be a pbs special on the effects of miscommunication, finality of death and unwavering forgiveness spoon fed to us in the format of 'Communication For Dummies'. The fact that everyone and their momma had already guessed that it was his brother by ep 3 but played out for 8-9, no fam. No matter how you look at it.

1. Why was it so excruciatingly long? 7 max would have been enough.
2. Why would a ml maintain his silence rather than get clarification from his partner? Brainless. Spineless.
3. Why would he feel comfortable circumventing his life for events that had nothing to do with him? Stupidity or sainthood? I'm leaning to the first guess. No amount of love does that.
4. Why did the 2nd cp have a more entertaining story? The acting was a different story. More classes needed.
5. Why did I have to test my blood glucose level everytime I saw those kids? Diabetes anyone?
6. Why did a mother allow her child to choose who she wanted to live with just because she had another family? Who walks away from a child that easily? I tell you, Thailand women probably don't go through labor. Between her and the unwed mother in That Summer, I'm baffled. No fight. No push. Nothing.
7. Why did Than forgive the bone head decision so easily and with such a calm face? This one was the saint.
8. What was the need to show so many nc scenes that did NOTHING to the story? One or two are fine. I'm sure the viewers have seen nc before and better also. For those who need tutorials, see Kinnporsche, Shine and the infamous honey from Top Form.
9. Why did Tu sound like a hen about to lay everytime he was onscreen? Fore warning: have volume at lowest level. You will thank me later.
10. Other than the 2nd cp, why did everyone look like they were on the good stuff? You know, herbs. Two needed anti-depressants (Akin and Don) and the rest, especially the parents, were doing a toothpaste ad. Pond was okay.
11. Why did Akin's and Than's deductive skills and maturity level seem reversed? Roughly 5 years difference between and Than had more wisdom by miles. We all know who will be making the decisions going forward.
12. Why was this story allowed to drag to death what could have been a cute 7 ep family adjacent series? Can't use friendly, the useless nc killed that notion. All that nc and they still label it 13+.
13. Why did Meya suddenly felt territorial over Mawin, when she graciously accepted assistance for eight years? From a complete stranger. Suddenly, he's yours alone. Like, please. Step to the side with that ish.

The good:
Than is a keeper. He showed his love for him at every turn.
Pond made Don face their relationship head on. No in the closet stuff. I will admit that I had a good chuckle with him in the boxers group chatting with Don right behind.
Nat, despite his feelings, always put Than's wellbeing first.
The messages were received. Patience in adversity; Love enduring through time and space; Treasure every moment with the ones you love; forgiveness is a strength and not a weakness; communication is needed for healthy relationships.
Visuals and setting were done well.

There is no need to watch again. Once is more than enough. Now let me go touch grass.

Plot Is Sometimes Bonkers But Performances On Point

There are many warranted and unwarranted criticisms here on Reloved's MDL page and if you're looking to figure out whether or not to watch, hopefully the preponderance of the evidence will help you decide. I truly enjoyed the small story they told, even if the narrative itself was sometimes outlandish and uneven. I would highly recommend it for its performances and its commitment to showing a segment of queer life not often represented on screen.

First and foremost, kudos to the writers and production team for giving a glimpse of queer love that mirrors more the daily lived experience of many queer men outside of the falling in love arc. We rarely if ever see gay men raising children, trying and sometimes failing to "launch" adult lives, all while the giant roulette wheel of life throws unexpected triumphs and tragedies in willy nilly. We sometimes forget that life truly is luck- both good and bad- and life will throw both at us whether we deserve the type we get or not.

Far too often queer representation wallows in the (very real) tragedies and neglects to tell other stories. P'Than has loving, solidly middle-class parents who embrace the totality of who he is, as well as embracing (without forced villainy for conflict's sake) the truth of people and their situations. They respond to life and their children's lives as thinking, rational adults and are supportive. These are not parents who neglect grandchildren simply because they are unhappy about the choices and mistakes the adult's who made them have committed. They reflect the kind of parent I hope I am to my queer child.

I will thoroughly concede that the "mystery" behind why our MLs broke up in the past drags on for far too many episodes. However, I understand Akin's commitment to that secret. He is not keeping this secret simply for himself or to exacerbate the story's conflict. In fact, to break the promise he made to Meya and reveal the secret would have long-lasting and potentially detrimental consequences for not only Meya, but for Mawin as well. He is silent because he has chosen to be a father. Though not explicitly stated in the script, the performance attests to the internal conflict Akin feels. He wants to be done with the secrecy for his own selfish reason, but that is balanced heavily by the commitment he made to be in Mawin's life. To reveal the mystery is to potentially put Mawin at risk emotionally and psychologically. Perhaps this was too underwritten to be made clear to the audience, but I certainly saw that tension in his arc. As a single mother I may have overly-identified with the need to put your own wants and desires on the back burner and make choices for your child that protect his emotional and psychological well-being. But the production team certainly laid out that internal conflict within the five axis of film, whether it was in the juxtaposition of scene and flashback, or the way the camera stayed with Akin as the conflict played out on his face when looking at Mawin and P'Than.

And the Don situation. While others find it a weakness of the series, I find it is one of its strengths and reinforces the team's commitment to tell a "real story." Sometimes, no matter how hard we commit to growth and understanding, the aforementioned roulette wheel lands on a number you didn't deserve. You can do everything right- every choice, every introspection, grab every opportunity to be a better version of yourself- and still be dealt an illogical and cruel blow by life. This isn't just reflected in Don's arc, but in the gym's struggle are as well. This too is often neglected on screen and is a shame. Sometimes I'm tired of the happy ending because who hasn't at some point sat at night and lamented, "I've done everything right- so why does so much of my life feel unfair?".

So with all of its weaknesses, why did I love it? Authenticity. In the midst of the sometimes outlandish script, the actors made me care deeply about the characters and forgive the plot's shortcomings. The authenticity of performance, the glimpse into a segment of the queer community not often represented, and the obvious love of the production staff to tell this story won out over the flaws. Yes, so many of us turn to dramas for escapism, but sometimes that escapism- ironically- has the opposite effect; it makes us lament the unfairness that life sometimes throws our way. In its bid for authenticity, this drama dared to show that we are not always in control of the outcomes in our lives. Sometimes there is a car accident. Sometimes one success doesn't automatically breed another and we fail even though we did everything "right." Sometimes we have to make choices against our own self-interest because the roles we chose to assume have to take precedence. It was very comforting to see a drama that dared to say, "the happy ending doesn't always come in the package you expect or even at all- and it's not always your fault."

I watched this drama since i miss Shu Tong on short drama and this drama was around years since they shoot so it was probably longest take to wait for this short drama. I personally want to see Zhai Yi Ying on melodrama since the last drama i watch from fer was light-hearted drama with Yao Guan Yu last January. It was really worth to watch.

The synopsis was melodrama coded and focused on the FL's suffering; but it feels i was being scammed in good way this time.
It's a story of campus romance + mutual redemption + running away for love + reconciliation. While there are indeed some awkward moments, the underlying logic is sound. The awkwardness isn't just for the sake of being melodramatic; it's a complete, closed-loop logic that aligns with the characters' actions. Therefore, there are no disjointed moments, and the story flows smoothly. The only flaw is that the kidnapping at the end was really unnecessary. FL mother wasThe first half drama was quite boring but the second half drama was better.

Shu Tong portrayal of ML's character is excellent. He is patient, persistent but later becomes clear-headed, rational, shrewd, and decisive.

FL is grounded, little bit awkward and realistic. She leaves to allow her loved one better opportunities and doesn't want to hold ML back. Seven years later, their backgrounds are vastly different, so her avoidance of him is understandable. Applause for Zhai Yi Ying to make FL character was down-to-earth person.

Still worth to watch but if you don't like melodrama you can skip this one.

organic storytelling

I really enjoyed this drama! I preferred chapter 1 over 2 just a bit more, but I think they told a great story overall. I especially liked how organic everything felt and how, with each new case, they slowly uncovered more clues tied to the bigger mystery. It never felt forced and everything connected naturally, and by the end it was really satisfying to see how it all circled back to the shooting that influenced so many of the main characters. I would’ve liked to see what happened to the villains afterward for a bit more closure, but I think the ending was quite satisfying 😌

.

Okay but let’s be honest… this is not just “bromance.” 😌

They can label it however they want, but the chemistry, the tension, the looks between these two men are screaming love.

Officially it’s a C-drama with bromance, but anyone with eyes can see what’s really going on. We all know what China means when they say bromance… 😉

The emotional connection, the devotion, the unspoken feelings — it’s giving BL in disguise and I loved every second of it.
