All Of Us Are Not So Dead

That one girl with the alarm ringtone, girl meet me outside...I ain't finna jump ya! Also Pao, brother why? And let's be honest, most of the characters on this show were very annoying and had me wishing they'd hurry up and get bitten, but when all was said and done, I actually enjoyed myself. Let me explain.

Listen, this genre is not for me, so I wasn't gonna watch it. But then I opened Netflix and it was there, and I was like, hey, I know these cast, finally something available in my country, so why not? And frankly, I am not sorry. Yes, I closed my eyes at scenes when creepy music starts playing, was yelling at characters who got under my skin, and was sad in other scenes, but overall, a nice watch for Halloween.

Okay, let me get this straight. So this old guy they called Patron, doesn't wanna be immortal but don't want his corpse to rot? And that's the legacy he wanna leave behind, that he dies but his body lives on? Why not go for the immortal thing? Also did the whole thing feel like some family issue and the whole population was just collateral damage? That mother made her family problem everyone else's, and that old guy.. Really, Bob? That's the legacy you want to leave behind? What the hell is the point of your corpse if you are still dead??? Make it make sense, Sharon!

THINGS I LIKED
- PHU: So like we were all rooting for Phu, right? Dude needs to survive, otherwise what's the point?
- Did anyone else clapped a bit when Korn, Gus, Earth and Aek showed up in that rainy scene all zombie hunter like? Same.
- When Aek saved them from Pao... cuz boy was on my last nerve. I got him, understood his reason and was with him, but damn dude, if you wanna die go die alone, don't be making all that noise. In fairness, he did wanna go alone the first time, but those humans held him back.
- Characters having backstories, and not just surface 2d stuff. It made me care for most of them.
- I like whatever it's happening to Lily, though not gonna lie, I was waiting that whole time for her to eat Win, cuz dude why is you sitting so close to her? And was Night's whole solution to get zombies high and hope they are buzzed enough for them to ran away? Hahaha lmao.
- That one annoying girl who is just there to cause drama and be in everyone's business... girl why? but also thanks for the drama. Girl just won't shut up, so every time she came on screen, I was ready for her to stir things up XD.
- That we all thought San and Non were cheating. LMAO, the delulu was strong in this one. Plus the sister was making googgly eyes at Jean so I was... very sure they were cheaters ^^shame on us.
- That random cheerleading routine. I was confused but also laughing cuz, okay stupid children, why don't you be super loud with cheers when you should be shouting the eff up cuz, you know, zombies are literally outside!!!
- That ending had me so emotional, my poor, brave Non. Season two, please.

THINGS I DIDN'T LIKE
- What part of... 'when bitten, they get infected and become zombies' did most of these people not get? Like, they'd all scream and try to go to their infected friends. Dude, your friend is trying to eat you, why you wanna run to them?
- Stupid characters getting ones I like killed. I was all in for Aek and then it was ruined cuz poor Pao decided to be a dumbarse, No, but how many people did he get killed all cuz he couldn't carry a girl and ran at the same time? Wasting his life and causing his brother more trauma in the process, for shame.
- I will not get into the whole San, Ning and Jean thing, cuz let's be real, all three hit a nerve one point or another. Though they did have their moments.
- Earth leaving everyone to die cuz he's hurting and doesn't care and hate everyone, only to go confront his zombie friend and then start fighting and screaming when the zombie tried to eat him. Like dude dafug you thought was gonna happen? A luncheon? smh.
- That one girl with the alarm clock. And the fact she didn't just hurl her phone away and let it keep ringing and ringing. Ahhhhh.

Anywho, overall, a decent watch. Plotwise, interesting origin story, haven't watched a lot of zombie movies, so this one felt very zombie and good to me. The cast ensemble blended well together, and did their best, some very well. I liked most of the characters and disliked some as well, but it all added to my enjoyment of the series. I don't like horror but I still enjoyed this, so, I'll recommend it to anyone who like any of the cast, or just looking for a decent zombie show to watch .

Happy Halloween

Not bad, at all.

It’s actually good, whoever said it’s very bad are exaggerating. Tbh, yes, it might took them longtime and it might not be like those really high quality American movies, but the plot, acting and the story are actually AMAZING! I am currently at episode 7 waiting for more to air or I guess maybe 2nd season? I already got very attached to this show and its story/plot! The more episodes air, the better and more interesting it gets. Their acting is soo good. Some did very good and some needed a little practice but overall there wasn’t a moment where I got dissatisfied with their acting. The OST is really good. Anyways I would say it’s really worth watching it, the more you dig in, the better it gets, the more exciting. So don’t drop it yet, keep watching, you will get attached to it, I’m telling you! To the ones who have dropped the series, y’all are missing out the whole plot! Wait till the end you, I promise you, you will love it! Was it worth the wait? Yes. Absolutely! 2 years, but they served!

Story: 9/10
The plot is amazing!!!! -1 because I just didn’t like how they fought a lot and all those stupid dramas they had while being in danger. It made mee maddd 😭 But overall, story = MASTERPIECE !!! AND THE END? EXCUSE YOU? I GOT GOOSEBUMPS, I won’t spoil tho 👀 Hihi

Acting/Cast: 9/10
I love the main roles! They picked the best ones, their acting was on point and it was just chefs kiss. I cried with them, stressed with them and even got angry and scared with them. The way they expressed their emotions was sooo goood! -1 because some support characters acting just needed some effort, I would say? They could do better…

Music: 10/10
Love it!

Rewatch: 9.5/10
Hell yeah I would definitely rewatched it!!! It’s soo good. I binge watched the entire episode even tho I was hella busy with studies but it was really worth it!

I hope the new episodes won’t disappoint us, watcher :,)
Thanks for reading!

A Thrilling Thai Zombie Series Packed with My Favourite BL Stars

After two years of waiting for DOMUNDI’s next big project, Zomvivor finally arrived on Netflix, and it did not disappoint. This Thai zombie series is everything I hoped for and more.

It reminded me of All of Us Are Dead, but what made it even more special is that it features so many of my favourite BL actors all in one show. I love seeing Janis and Keng/Namping from Khemjira, along with ZeeNuNew, Tommy, Jimmy, Tim, Boss, MaxNat, TutorYim, NetJames, Boun, Park, and Poppy, truly a dream cast for BL fans.

The story follows a group of students whose normal school day turns into a nightmare when a deadly infection suddenly breaks out across the city. Cut off from the outside world and surrounded by chaos, they must rely on each other to survive. As fear spreads and trust begins to crumble, friendships are tested, alliances are formed, and every decision becomes a matter of life and death.

The zombies are genuinely terrifying, the atmosphere is dark and relentless, and every episode leaves you on edge. The tension builds beautifully with just the right mix of horror, emotion, and suspense. The acting is phenomenal, you can truly feel the panic, desperation, and hope of each character. The soundtrack and cinematography are equally impressive, enhancing every scene’s impact.

Even though it is not a BL series, seeing so many beloved BL actors together brings a sense of connection and excitement that makes the show even more special. Their chemistry and emotional performances make you care deeply about their fates, and it is impossible not to get attached.

I finished all seven episodes in one sitting because it was that addictive. Zomvivor is dark, emotional, and action-packed, a perfect blend of horror and heart. A solid 10/10 from start to finish.

BL Watchers Are The Reason Thai Media Isn't Taken Serious

I watched this show for the BL boys with a horror-enthusiastic friend who has never watch any Asian media, let alone Thai BL and our ratings are remarkably similar: a 9.5/10 for me and a 9/10 for him.
What I enjoyed: the fresh display of improved acting into a new genre.
What he enjoyed: an interesting take on the zombie genre.
What reviewers did not enjoy: a BL production company making a horror series. Scrolling the reviews to see the claims that Domundi is homophobic for making a non-BL their first Netflix release or complaining about very common horror tropes makes me laugh and roll my eyes

Zombie show from zombie genre fans

I enjoy how the show starts in media res during the outbreak and it immediately begins with questions about the type of infection it will be in this show. The show drops references to many a American zombie genre classic as well to a non zombie American shows. The monologue from the self aware of how inappropriate it is to be excited about the situation zombie fanboy Thi with Earth looking aghast though he was the one who asked was great. The setting of the university campus allows for the college kids to actually use what they learned in their majors to use. I really like how characters challenge the ones who take leadership positions with no merit and encourage the ones who actually have a handle on figuring out the situations to take the lead. They learn the behavioral patterns of the infected and it's never ends well when someone has a gun. The writing clearly knows their genre and finds ways to make it their own. The characters who have no survival instincts and become a danger to the group gets their end sooner rather than later. The actress that plays the scientist Kan is so good. The most frustrating part of the show is how short it is, ending abruptly at 7 episodes. The story could have easily concluded with at least one more episode.

I expected NOTHING good but WOW IT WAS GOOD!!

I think this is the first Thai zombie themed series to be aired,
Considering Mandee can be called a small company I lowkey thought this would be trash but WOW!!! The plot????? The acting??? It was amazing and I don't know if I can wait another 3 years for season 2☠️

The pacing was good, the characters (the fact that they resemble actual people, no one is completely pure and they're just as flawed and dirty as real people are) you can't hate any of the characters fully,

I'm really happy to see how much NuNew has improved once again :) his character is lovable and his acting is better every day.

Definitely worth watching great story great plot great characters

Apparently I'm a Tutor girly now?

In all honesty? The first episode was a doozy. What was meant to be an introduction turned into an awkward mental exercise, as it wasn’t fast-paced enough to be thrilling, but neither was it slow enough to feel intentional. Additionally, this episode’s editing was all over the place. The jumps within the timeline, even with just different characters, made it harder to understand what was going on. I understand that the cast is large and that there were a lot of relationships that needed to be established quickly, but I think that’s where they fumbled the bag. Usually, the main group is small, which grows and shrinks over the storyline - this one dropped 3 of those from the get-go. There were too many segments in the first episode that had motion to really world-build properly, which pulled away from the opening. For a cast this big, too, I think a lot of people assumed there’d be some major deaths at some point; however, there wasn’t enough content for them to have significance (apart from Pao). After watching the last episode and seeing the setup for season 2, I can understand why, but before that? Confusing.

Once it found its groove, it actually worked pretty well. The pacing was enjoyable, the direction had been honed, and the acting actually surprised me. It may be backhanded to say that I expected the acting not to be up to par with my expectations, especially after that first episode, but I ate my doubts. There were a lot of scenes that had me glued to their expressions. Jimmy especially stood out to me with his acting quality, so I’m surprised he hasn’t gotten that many lead roles recently.

One thing I’d like to comment on was the discussions about character archetypes within the story and how I both agree and disagree with them. This show has a lot of different archetypes within the characters, but if we’re focusing on the small female cast, I agree there could be more done. A lot of the female characters seemed to be making the ‘stupid’ decisions, but I think there were also a lot of types within those characters that outweighed that. I’m not going to list them out, but it’s clear which female characters had a developed archetype compared to those that were just there to die. With a male-dominant cast, I do wish they could have given more respect to the female characters!

Listen. I’ve never considered myself a Tutor fan. I’ve seen him in ONE main role. I was here to be serious, focus on the zombies, but how could I concentrate WHEN TUTOR IS LOOKING TOO FUCKING GOOD? OH MY GOD! OH, they did his hair so well I couldn’t handle it. EVERY EPISODE, MY OBSCENE MOUTH HAD SOMETHING TO SAY ABOUT HIM. When he took off his shirt and he was in just a tank top? I just want you to know I appreciated that...deeply. I had to pause and calm myself over what? A MAN? The lion doesn’t concern herself with men- WHO AM I KIDDING? He was rocking my shit the whole time. Whenever he was on my screen, my eyes were PEELED like bananas. I missed him when he wasn’t around. HE LOOKED SO FINE. Something awoke inside of me today.

I also wanted to note the SFX/ prosthesis makeup was rather impressive. There was this one zombie they did a really good job on that I wanted to compliment. Like, yeah, it was 100% gross, but also the craftsmanship was so beautiful. Like this one scene where she's just on the screen and the blood is dripping off of her. Applause. I felt like I was watching a gory shampoo advert.

Honourable mention to the zombie mopping the floor because THAT TOOK ME OUT. Again, I wanted to take this seriously, but if you hit me with a zombie nonchalantly mopping, it’s going to tickle me.

I zoomed through 'Zomvivor' (in a good way)

I found “Zomvivor” by chance, and luckily, right when it aired. It’s been a while since I’ve seen a good zombie series. As a big zombie fan, I try to find the best, and this one was one of them. Mandee and Domundi weren’t afraid to get real and dirty, and I appreciated that. I’m glad this series is on Netflix and more accessible to many others.

Let’s talk about the pros.
- Everyone needs to check this one out, whether you’re a fan of the zombie genre or not.
- Large casts usually scare away viewers, but for a zombie series/film, it’s a must, and this one worked. Whether I liked, disliked, agreed, or didn’t agree with the characters, I was able to understand them on a deeper level, absent their back stories. Although I enjoyed seeing so many familiar faces, I enjoyed the actors’ characters more. They all shone and stood out in their own ways. I honestly understood why Pao went crazy. He was the only one who struggled with a zombie to get it off of his friend. Then Fah looked at him and, in that moment, was ready to run to him for help, but he was pulled away. Pao never got to really help anyone, and when zombie Fah didn’t attack, it changed his perspective (and of course, him getting off his meds probably did some things). Gus didn’t deserve what Pao did to him, and I’m glad it was Ake who was able to avenge Gus. Pao was a good character in the beginning, but he needed to go once he started applying his ideas and put everyone in danger. Pao’s exit was warranted, quick, jaw-dropping, and satisfactory. It was nice that Ake did it after putting up with Pao’s sinister laughs for a while. Really showed Ake probably would have let it go had Pao just come to his senses. I really like Phu (Boss), Ake (Mark), Korn (Boun), Night (Nat), Sun (Intanont), Thi (Yim), and Earth (Net). Earth wasn’t with the group at the end, so I’m assuming he either got bit by Gus or was killed off, since he gave Night a real cold look and had also locked out Phu’s group before. Plus Night was also standing in the middle like he was their leader or something. It was cute.
- The acting was superb for the most part. There were some hiccups here and there, like overreaction or not enough reaction.
- The music, audio, and sound effects were spot on. No complaints.
- The visual effect, atmosphere, and camera angles were consistent. I did want some close-up shots and more zooming in and out, but that’s just a preference. The weather was also consistent; the ground was wet after it rained. There are puddles, etc.
- The storyline. It was quite easy to follow, yet refreshing. Zombies regenerating and being infected by parasites aren’t a brand new concept, but still well executed.
- The action. I was worried the action was going to be cringey or slow, but it’s quick, good, and nicely supported by sounds and camera angles. I wished this much action from Boun (Korn) had shown up in “Revamp,” but I digress.
- The ending. Major YES! Big W! It was implied in the janitor’s room that Non (Nunew) would take the syringe with ‘mother’s’ blood, but it didn’t happen. And when it did on the rooftop…Boy I jumped up with joy. Granted, I didn’t like that Non didn’t necessarily get to choose to inject himself, but I wanted him to become ‘mother’. I knew he would be the one to carry the janitor’s blood.

Now the cons aren’t necessarily cons like ‘hey, you shouldn’t watch this series because blah blah blah and because I said so’. It’s the little errors and things I noticed. Towards the end of ep1, they clearly said the power and water would be turned off at 8:30 pm. In ep3, they were able to shower. Then, in the scene where they went to record the leader of the pack, Korn specifically said they needed one person to record and three to watch the recorder’s back. But in the scene, no one was watching their back and they were all watching the zombies.
- A real con/dislike about this series was the insertion of flashbacks. It’s done randomly, sometimes a little too draggy, thus ruining the flow of the present with zombies. Ning and Non’s mother’s back story was necessary to the plot, but the character/actress wasn’t particularly enjoyable and brought down the mood and energy of the series whenever she was on screen. I wish flashbacks of her were more creative. I don’t like the aspect that she managed to avoid jail time and punishment by fleeing the country for 3 years. That part added to her immoral and selfish character, but it didn’t need as much screentime as it got.
- I know we’re supposed to root for Ning, Jean, San, and Non, but they weren’t at all lovable characters. Cheating was also a running theme here: Viroj cheated on his wife with Ning and Non’s mother, Ning liked Jean and used San for support, San supposedly cheated on Ning with Prao and Non. Non can, somehow, feel San’s energy, which was misled BL. I have to admit, Ning became annoying halfway through the show. Yes, she treasured her brother, but only when it was convenient for her. I don’t know why or what led her to believe that Non was incapable or weak without her, but she understated him often. I find it insane that she got really mad at the group and called them crazy for drawing the logical conclusion that the janitor was the leader and mother of the zombies. She also told Jean that everyone needed to know about what Viroj had done, but when they pressed her, she dismissed them until Jean stepped in and gave them the details. Ning was wishy washy with taking accountability; sometimes it’s her fault, sometimes it’s Jean’s fault for not recognizing that it’s her fault, sometimes it’s everyone’s but her fault. Like girl…I was ready to snatch her collar. There’s a problem if I like Prao more than Ning.
- Why didn't Jean and Ning grab the gun from Ake's body after he died..? He even gave Jean all the ammunition? Jean also threw the gun away because it was out of ammo at the moment... Next time, don't give Jean a gun.
- The thing that had me scratching my head the hardest was "Does a gun to the head work or not..?" After Gus became a zombie, he took a bullet to the forehead, but we saw him walking around in the final episode. Janitor Jit seems to be dead dead after bullets to the head. Zombie Fah didn't die after she took an axe to the head. But zombies can drown? Or is it just Lily because she couldn't swim when she was human? Or maybe zombie Lily was not drowning but super calm because of the cold temperature? How come no one's tried to attack the thing growing on the zombies' backs?
- I have two bones to pick with ‘Zomvivor’. 1. When Lily became a zombie, I thought that was it, that her role was over. I’m mad that there was no callback from when Lily acted like a zombie to when she actually became a zombie, other than foreshadowing. Like the close-up of before and after would have been a powerful transition and really showcase how different real zombies were from Thi’s vision. 2. I don’t understand why and how Janitor Jit was able to become the leader of all the zombies just because she was given the serum first and is older, dot dot dot? The infected jellyfish attacking the uninfected was a nice touch, but why couldn’t another reason why zombies attacked each other be because they had different ‘parents’ or ‘makers’? There was mention of fighting for territory, so why not? There were also 10 volunteers, right? 10 parents/leaders would have been more interesting. Sure, they can make Janitor Jit’s line stronger, but I don’t buy the whole infected vs uninfected because aren’t they all infected anyway…? Maybe I should write my own zombie story.

Overall, I enjoy this one and am glad I found it early. Will definitely be back for a rewatch or two.

This story is great. The cast and acting never failed to amaze me. They choose the actors well, although almost all the characters are Bl actors in the serie there's no BL at all so it is safe to watch with family. The story is great . The only thing that stresses me out is Pao character. The three groups has different way to survive. Sadly, its a cliffhanger we need season 2 ! .

Why is this so good?

I didn't know this was coming out so I started watching this by chance because I was bored and Netflix recommended it to me. Did not expect to see so many BL actors in this but man this show is good. Unlike many dramas I've watched, the acting and the filming is so good.

Not much to say right now but I really recommend

Had me on my toes most of the time

I was thoroughly happy about this series! Been waiting on it since it was first announced (a million years ago). I was most worried about the acting and the cgi and how the zombies were gonna look and I have to say there were soooo many scenes I was actually grossed tf out which is a good thing. Overall acting was great, especially Nunew, Tommy, Zee, Boss, and Janis; I feel like this was def a new side to Boss that we never really get to see behind the crappy scripts hes given with BemindY. I think my main issue was that most of the drama they were sitting there talking or arguing like it was veryyy dialogue heavy and less action. The action scenes were great but I just feel like we spent most of the time talking and explaining rather than showing. Overall, I really hope there's a next season and am hoping I don't have to wait another 4 years for it lolz.
