ChaMuhee would transform into DoRaMi & do her thing & then forget about it & that's okay?!!? lolWhat…
Her Condition is DID ( Dissociative Identity Disorder) in Medical terms. Symptoms include the presence of significant Amnesia (Unexplained gaps in memory, such as forgetting daily events, important personal information, or past experiences) while switching between altering personalities.

There are real life patients like that. One popular example is Kim Nobel, A british artist with 20 distinct identities (cha mu hee only had 2 haha)...Each identities/personalities of Kim Nobel had its own artistic style and memories. She authored the book "All of Me" (2011) and has appeared on major shows like the Oprah Winfrey Show, This Morning Show, and Anderson Cooper Show.

there are multiple other cases like that, with DID patients having significant memory gaps between "switches" in personality.

I really like the poetic voice of the singer in ep 21. Anyone know who that might be?
The one sung by a female singer which is also the ending credits song? Lu Yao

" If you do whatever you feel like, You'll never get to do what you truly want"
i should take this advice seriously for real.

"think about our age gap, You're centuries older than me!"

aww i love Feng Dao's character too!! A well written & well portrayed character...about Feng dao in real history, I'm not much sure bcz you really have to be either incredibly clever or incredibly deceitful to serve 10 Emperors and five times change of dynasties in a chaotic time like that.i want to believe he was just as thoughtful as the drama depicts him in real history too.

I'm not quite happy with Zhao Hongyin taking up too much plot in the drama, when in history he wasn’t this big of a figure.anyways this thread already went long Enough

yeah It's still a real historical & This is how i saw this - Drama portrayed the power change as exactly how it happened with a subtle, 'was it really legal?' questioning. Shi Jingtang did entrusted the throne to feng dao making his kid the heir, in the end shi chonggui became emperor, with agreement of the court officials and imperial generals (how many of them we'll never know)...Fictionally zhao hongyin took the position of real history's Jing yanguang in the drama's premise

the things you’ve pointed out about feng dao is exactly how my thoughts are haha

yeah i know that's fictional...i just didn't want to go into real history while explaining and only went with the drama's plot as the viewer was already confused.

if we come into the actual history, the winners write history and the losers just fade away. if in real shi chonggui defeated khitans in the 3rd war in 946 (which i highly doubt, winning 3rd one would probably lead into a 4th war and a 5th one,as first two wins also didn’t secure anything but anyways), history would remember him as a brave one who paved the way of independence, won lands and secured the dynasty for Central plains.as it didn’t happen, he's just discarded. That's why the 2 wars he won bravely also didn’t go into a memorable history

i did mention shi chonggui was chosen by some officials, zhao hongyin and indirectly agreed by lord feng as well (that's why ''illegally" is under Inverted commas). whether they found out immediately or just a little bit later would not have changed the outcome at all, but It's also a fact that shi chonggui did reward them with promotions & zhao kuangyin was questioning whether they became rebels by doing so

it was not quite uncommon in that era for a 3 years old to ascend the throne under a regency. As wuyue was a vessel state for great Jin, Great Jin was a puppet state to khitans as well,at least at that point when shi jingtang was dying, shi jingtang was a son emperor, he probably thought his 3 years old being an emperor under a regency would not be difficult as their support khitans are still existing, but It's also true he was not in his right mind (when was he to begin with?)....

you might want to rewatch ep 5 after marriage scene, there's a 4 years time jump there, when the characters got…
It wasn’t a personality change.he didn’t have the quality to be the ruler. All these heroic words were all bluffs from him. as soon as he ascended to throne "legally" or "illegally", he started wars with the 'power' that practically helped them founding the dynasty (Rewatch ep 1 beginning scene how shi jingtang founded the later jin dynasty, giving lands to khitan emperor in return of gaining help from khitans to destroy the previous Dynasty to found his new one)

again, rewatch ep 5, minister sang weihan already pleaded to shi chonggui not to go to war Against khitans at That time rather he should wait. what his words were, "your majesty newly ascended to throne, the Foundation is not yet firm,if we rashly launch a northern expedition & suffer defeat, the state will be unstable....the threat is not from outside, but from inside " (see he already guessed a betrayal from their own army might happen?)

he also added, "It's not the right time, not the right situation & not the right person. A national war is a different thing,it does not require mere fervor, not individual reckless bravery"
shi chonggui just says "I'm the emperor " and went on wars. These 4 years of wars brought only sufferings to the common people of the state,if he cared about the people, the first thing he'd thought after ascending to Throne should have not the 'lands' and 'wars'

You might have missed another important details in Ep 4. On Shi jingtang's death bed, the heir he selected for the throne didn’t say shi chonggui's name at all.shi chonggui wasn’t asked to take the throne by his dying brother. Shi jingtang issued the decree in his death bed Which says, "Lord Feng/grand Marshall of great Jin will be honored the title 'Duke of Yan' and i entrust him with the regency " Shi Jingtang basically selected seventh prince /the kid you saw as the heir and until he comes of age, the regency to be handled by Lord feng.

Shi chonggui you can say " illegally " ascended to throne, or in another term,he was chosen by Zhao hongyin of imperial guards (& some officials which lord feng indirectly also agreed).. zhao hongyin asked zhao kuangyin to inform 'prince of Qi' as soon as he heard the news of Emperor's death and that prince of Qi is shi chonggui. that's why zhao kuangyin questions his father, "are we considered traitors/rebels now?" (as they practically 'switched' the ruler)..shi chonggui, immediately after entering the palace, "rewards" both father and son by giving them promotions, zhao hongyin becoming deputy commander of imperial guards and zhao kuangyin as palace attendant & commander of 18th infantry (rewatch ep 4) that's how father and son rose to powerful positions in drama's point of view.

Who can help me answer this, the king (son emperor) who suddenly didn’t want to be king anymore and just drank,…
you might want to rewatch ep 5 after marriage scene, there's a 4 years time jump there, when the characters got older (how ML is now older and the wuyue king now have a beard)...the drama narration says as follows -
" in the year 942, shi chonggui ascended to the throne, he refused to submit to khitans which triggered 3 major wars with the khitans, in the year 946,during the 3rd war, chief Commander of his Army, Du zhongwei colluded with the khitans & betrayed his side with 2 hundred thousands of troops, thus great Jin lost It's Main forces,& khitans took this chances to capture the capital kaifeng & Great Jin's reign was severely threatened"

There's no editing issues or censors cutting scenes, things are just fast paced.I'm glad they didn't spend more time on shi chonggui, he's neither brave nor strategic, just a fool & not so famous in history.Even without knowing the context of history, His decision to go on wars in the drama was ridiculous enough. drama also narrates he wasn’t as competent ruler as the previous 'son emperor' shi jingtang

Title Swords into Plowshares Spoiler
Its ridiculous. He would have been killed dead just for carrying a knife into a meeting with an emperor, regardless…
will this expanse to that point? Won't the drama end at surrender in 978? i thought so...if it extends to 988, there would be too much events to cover (oh,could be a time jump from surrender to Qian hongchu's last days though, but i don't necessarily find a reason to do so 🤔)
but yeah surely taizong's ascension to throne would be interesting to watch, how this drama will take stand at how zhao kuangyin's death occurred is something to look forward to

He was supposed to be early teen and very young. When his brother, 6th prince took the crown after the death of…
Not early teen, but 18 - 21 at least

In actual history Qian hongchu was 18 at that time,as court scene in ep 11 is from late 946 or early 947.

however, drama made their age slightly older, Qian hongzuo (6th prince) is still a teenager (as his father mentions in ep 1) when he ascends to throne in 941, but he's surely not 13 in the drama (as he was in actual history), but at least 16 or 17. his father also mentions that Hongchu isn’t much younger than him(correct historically too,as hongzuo was only 1 year older than hongchu)..not sure but i think in one of the earlier episodes there was a mention in the drama too that 9th Prince is only 1 year younger than 6th prince but he's a lot naive in attitude.. so drama made them a bit older than their actual age in history.
