If you like bl/lgbtq+ shows you should definitely give it a chance.
I personally wouldn't call their relationship problematic at all. As of their "hate" relationship the two mains started off not really liking one another but that changed pretty quick and as of ep. 6 they are certainly friends and seem to like each other even though it is not really expressed verbally.
I am not sure how they will follow the rest of the book and what may change, but for now they can't be considered step brothers and even if they were it's not like they are blood related. If that theme and what may come from it makes you uncomfortable, you better not watch the series, but I think that since you are wondering if it is problematic it is better to watch it first especially execution wise and judge for yourself. It is impossible to judge something just by the synopsis or the trailers (+the misinformation going around). After all, everything is subjective. Something that you may find problematic may not be the case for someone else.
So all in all (and sorry cause that was long) I think it is better to give one ep a chance and judge for yourself.
Plus, it's only ten eps, so that is another plus! Hopefully it is good, cause lately I haven't watched anything outstanding in that genre.
I think we got a glimpse of it in the last episodes when he was looking at those pics with his wife
I was so frustrated at some point, I was laughing too.
I love him for that. I also like how their relationship evolved. I feel like he will get even more attached to the case now that it was proven that GJW is innocent and since he saw how corrupt everyone is.
For real. There are so many scenes where he is like ''yes sir, right away sir'' and I was waiting for him to snap at some point, but he didn't yet. When he wiped that footprint off the chair it was so funny π
I know he wants the worst for those bastards.
For real. He was basically perfect and everyone wanted to be around him. It's sad though. I looks like he never actually had a real friend.
Same, it's one of the best parts! Makes the watching experience even better.
π₯ MVP OF THE EPISODE: No Sang Cheol
HIGHLIGHTS OF THE EPISODE
π₯ No Sang Cheol hitting bastard cop repeatedly, until he throws him into the river. Extra points, cause he couldn't swim π
π₯ Both bastards (cop and nurse) blaming GJW for what happened saying all types of b#llshit and both of them getting arrested.
π₯ No Sang Cheol arresting bastard cop and pointing to himself saying that he tried to kill him.
π₯No Sang Cheol laughing cause he can't believe how corrupt everyone is (same, my dude, same)
π₯"You r@pist scumbag" -> *standing ovation* -> YOU TELL HIM SANG CHEOL! I can't believe that bastard tried to justify a freaking gang rape saying he had a difficult past -that wasn't even that difficult if we are being honest-.
THE BEST SCENES OF THE EPISODE:
π₯No Sang Cheol refusing GJW's will to meet bastard cop! The fact he said "I only need a minute" and NSC was like "beat me and I will give you two hours" πππ - This scene was perfect not only cause it was hilarious, but because it lightened up the mood even for a minute, cause during the rest of the ep, I had some serious murder tendencies and my blood pressure was dangerously rising.
π₯ Na Gyeom visiting Bo Yeong's parents (to probably tell them about the rape)! Girl may be sus ah, she may be obsessed with the ML and psychotic, but the way I wanted to clap in that scene! Like, finally, someone wants to inform them -at least that's what it looked like- so all hell will break loose.
General comments about the episode
π₯NG following HS like the obsessed stalker that she is. I wouldn't be surprised if Ha Seol disappeared soon.
π₯I can't believe uncle cop acted all superior cause it was proved that his son didn't rape BY. The audacity!
π₯Okay, we all knew Geon Oh's confession would never happen, but him actually killing himself may be the turning point of the series.
π₯ Bastard cop may be a scumbag, but the actor is killing it! The way I wanted to punch him every time he opened his filthy mouth! The audacity to talk to GJW like that! Like how petty you must be to remember those shoes from back then...
I also felt so bad for GJW. He truly considered them his friends. The betrayal and the fact that they never saw him as one of them must have hurt a lot.
π₯THAT COP AND HIS LACKEY! The way he said "I just took Geon Oh to eat something" π€¬π€¬π€¬
Geon Oh's dad basically threatening his already unstable son with his brother's well being π€¬π€¬π€¬
I really want to see his reaction now that his son is dead.
GENERAL THOUGHTS: Easily the best ep. so far and the series is getting better and better. I do feel that Geon Oh's death will be the turning point and as shown in the preview his dad may go a bit berserk. I think that from now on things are gonna get even more interesting.
We don't know exactly what HGO did, so I wouldn't really call him neither a good nor a bad brother.
"SMS, YBG are scummiest scum of them all I wish they had a session with NSC before getting arrested." -> THIS πππ
Thank dramagod for that scene! It was so funny πππ
I am glad it was there, cause I was having very high blood pressure and murder tendencies the rest of the episode.
I don't think it even crossed his mind that his son would kill himself. He didn't hesitate to basically threaten him with the well being of his brother.
