—SPOILER TO EP 6—Somewhat thankfully, I had no time to watch this (or several others) til this week and caught…
I think the minutes passing are probably when he is in the hospital -the scene we watch in the beginning of episode 1 where someone is laying in a hospital bed and we don't see his face-.
I agree with everything. I like how the series made Great to be a very flawed and indifferent character. I love how the whole 4-minute thing is not really a sci-fi element like I thought in the beginning but more of a way for Great to make things right in his head after all the -immoral- actions he committed.

I am not sure about the rest, but at least I am optimist -enough- that the series will make sense in the end and they will not start dropping nonsensical scenarios here and there.

Can anÿone send link to 7th episode please
There is no link for episode 7. Even if there was, please wait to watch it legally if possible.

Episode 7 was accidentally leaked a few weeks ago by iQiyi. There are some scenes going around on the internet, but not the entire episode.

Title Terror Tuesday: Extreme Spoiler
can anyone explain dear granny (ep7)
Pretty sure the ending was quite ambiguous and you can interpret it in many different ways. There is not only one right answer, since the writer didn't really bother to explain anything.

It could be multiple things:
1. Nulek (the daughter) died first after running away from home due to her unhealthy relationship with her mother. After that, either her mom or her grandma did the ritual thing with the shoes to get her back. So all interactions we see between mom and daughter are fake and the mom just imagines her daughter, cause she can't deal with the fact that she disappeared. She could probably see her spirit and thought it was truly her.

2. After the disappearance of the grandma, the mom did the ritual to bring her back, but she ended up bringing a possessed "monster" instead. That monster went after Nulek and while trying to get away from home she got hit by a car and died. And then the mom tried to do the same to bring her back cause she couldn't deal with losing her daughter.

3. The mom brought back two "evil spirits" and she is living with them, cause she can't deal with the fact she lost both her daughter and mother. The dude that Nulek keeps seeing is investigating the house cause it seems he has a "youtube" channel about haunted houses.

4. My most probably scenario:
Nulek disappeared/died first after running away from home. Her mom did the ritual and brought her spirit back. She was seeing her, but in reality her human form was not there. That is why the "youtube dude" kept investigating the house. He heard voices and saw things moving around by themselves (by the spirit Nulek). That is very probable, since he had no reaction when Nulek noticed him.
After that the grandma disappeared. She did the same ritual to bring her back, but instead she brought back a monster. That monster went after Nulek's spirit that ended up disappearing once again. The mother did the ritual again to bring her daughter back. However, this time she brought back an evil spirit that ended up killing that youtuber along with the monster grandma.

We basically have no idea when the last scene with the car happens. It is highly possible, the mom run over her own daughter and because she couldn't handle it, she did the ritual in hopes to bring her back. Or -most probable scenario- it was directed that way -Nulek being runned over by a car and then no body in sight- to underline that Nulek's physical form basically never existed. All the monstrous things of the grandma happened only with Nulek. The mom probably saw her all natural, but Nulek could see her true form and her true intentions cause she was not human herself.

All theories have some plot holes. That is what I remember coming up with when I watched the episode. Probably missing some details. It was pretty badly written imo and I don't think the scriptwriter actually wanted us to fully understand what happened. I hope my answer didn't confuse you even more.

I don't think so, I think he's just a lil silly.
Thank you! Didn't remember it at all. I was mostly wondering if it is exactly the same thing. Thank you for being specific and differentiating the two.

Is this for real?

Edit: There seems to be a mistake. The poster is from a series coming in October and it has nothing to do with Beyond Evil. So either there are two series (one a remake of BE and one a series with lawyers) or there is a mistake and this is not a BE remake.

Title Black Out Spoiler
It's a crime/thriller drama. There is no cheating, because there is no romance. Depending on how you define bullying…
Technically there is cheating, but definitely not in a romance drama type of way.

Title Black Out Spoiler
if there's any cheating, rape or extreme bullying I will have to pass.1. I love crime / investigation and thrillers2.…
SPOILERS (but I tried to be as vague as possible)

In addition to what Yamuri mentioned, there is cheating going on, but like not in a romance drama type of way. It is just part of the general investigation plot.
Plus, there is a speculation about some other characters when it comes to cheating, but it is not 100% confirmed for the time being.

Title The On1y One
Did they confirm that? Why would there be a season 2?
Thank you, I just saw a post about it!

The novel is not that long though (maybe three published novels, but overall not that many pages) and the way they adapt it so far taking into consideration the pacing they can easily finish it in one season. I hope they don't cut the story halfway through for no reason.

Oh, I saw that the director said he’s done with season 2 script,it’s all down to the viewers & fans if they…
Why a season two though? I hope they actually finish with the original material in this season. There is plenty of time to do so. I suppose S2 probably has to do with something particular in the book, cause it wouldn't be a good choice to actually not finish the main story in this season.

"You must have been very scared at that time, really hoping someone could help you, but there was no one"

This episode was easily the best so far. Their chemistry is so good and I love how supportive they are of one another. Jiang Tian beating those people cause they beat Sheng Wang. The way he got silently angry when he saw that wound 😭
He is too good to be true. He is so kind, but so hurt I want to hug him 🫂
When he told Sheng Wang to trust in himself after what Qi Jia Hao said 😍

I already feel so much pain for Jiang Tian. He doesn't trust people easily and it is still difficult for him to even think that his new home will be a safe and stable place. Poor Mr Ding even gave a speech to Sheng Wang to not let Jiang Tian push him away like he does with everyone. I am such a sucker for these characters, I can't help but really like them.

Title The On1y One Spoiler
I agree it is impossible not to compare and I see how non-readers would probably enjoy the series more. I also…
Thank you for sharing! (Tagging this as a spoiler since it got too long)

I personally don't really differentiate web novels and published novels. I think a good novel is a good novel and a bad novel is a bad novel. This one, imo, is very well written, especially character wise. Plot may not be something revolutionary but it is still well written.

I think most important thing when it comes to reading is enjoy what you are reading, feel for the characters. It is important to absorb you. If something manages to do that, it is good enough in my book.

Regarding the writing style, I can't really judge simply cause I have not read the book in the original language. Funny thing is that the fan translators sometimes do a much better job comparing to actual editors that are getting paid.
I have come across better writing style in fanfictions compared to some published books. So for me, it is just a matter of good or bad.

However I do agree that we tend to have lower standards when it comes to web novels maybe because of the way they are written. Some publish like a chapter a day and we underestimate them ourselves when a whole book can be found online for like 2 dollars.
But managing to create such complicated and well written characters without having the actual time some published authors have is extraordinary and I suppose yes it creates more expectations for published novels.

Title The On1y One Spoiler
The reaction is truly divided between novel reader and non reader. Not exclusive to MDL. This is an adaptation,…
I agree it is impossible not to compare and I see how non-readers would probably enjoy the series more. I also think I would like the drama much more if I hadn't read the novel.

I disagree about the novel. I found it quite well written despite the fact it may have some cliches. The characters are very well written and so are the themes and the slow burn romance.
I don't think that the drama doesn't have the time to recreate it.
The book is not even that long and episodes are long enough to make it work. For me, it's that they simply would not risk of making an accurate adaptation of the novel, because it is more on the slice of life genre focusing quite a lot on family values like you said. If they followed it accurately there would be nothing truly romantic in any way between the main characters for many eps and that is something that would simply not sell. Plus the series would be very slow paced, something that many do not like.
That aside, maybe the writers just wanted to not fully "copy" the book.

The book is definitely better, but I agree that the series quality is undeniably good. Better than I ever expected honestly. I think everyone can state their own opinion be it bad or good as long as it is not rude. It is completely fine for people to love the series and it is also completely okay for readers to not enjoy it that much. At the end of the day, like you say, most important thing is to just enjoy the watch.

Title Black Out
Guys can you recommend me some mystery, crime, and thriller dramas that you really liked and would rate highly?…
The ones that I don't see on your list:
Influence (2021) -> Thriller/Drama
Tender light (2024) -> Thriller/Mystery
Byakuyako (2006) -> Thriller/Mystery/Psychological
The Bad Kids (2020) -> Thriller/Mystery
Under the Skin (2022) -> Thriller/Mystery
A Murderous Afair in Horizon Tower (2020) -> Thriller/Mystery/Drama

All of them are great and many are dealing with a lot of sensitive subjects.
On 4Minutes (Sultrier Version) Sep 3, 2024
It seems like ep. 6 is the reality of what actually happened and the 4 minute thing is happening inside of Great's head.

Interested to see how the rest of the series will unfold and one of the few times I can't really imagine a happy ending.

Kudos to the director and cinematographer. They are doing a splendid job.
