It should be illegal to end an episode like this

There is a long trailer with scenes from many eps of the series and then iQiyi had leaked accidentaly ep. 7 when they aired the first two eps, so some scenes from that episode are circulating.

I am not really sure. I think the most common explanation is that they were drunk and things escalated and she ended up dead. Or if she was not raped -that I doubt it- they had some kind of conflict and killed her by accident. And then the typical ''what will happen to your future if people find out?''. A murder would destroy their and their families lives, so they would cover it up.

Yes, that is my theory. Da Eun was not answering ML's phone and she seemed to be talking with someone else. Plus, it was hinted that the doctor has or at least aims to have inappropirate relationships with his patients.
Plus, there is the phone call incident. Her grandma said she was fighting with the ML and then she disappeared. I do believe thegrandma heard a man's voice, but it was probably the one of the doctor. I think he may have killed her on impulse or because he feared she would tell on him.

Da Eun was underage at the time (per korean standards). She was a student and he would lose everything if anyone found out. I have a hunch that maybe she started of as his patient too and that is how their relationship evolved.

Another more far fetched theory is that Da Eun saw Bo Yeong's rape or murder and then they also killed her. Or the opposite. Maybe the man on the phone just hit her or left her unconscious and someone elsed murdered her.

And they are even drinking with her dad 🤮

Do you think Ha Sol will disappear? (I DON'T want spoilers if you have watched until ep. 8 on Hulu or read the book)

I didn't see her in the preview. On the one hand, she is a quite well known actress and one of the main characters, so I don't think anything will happen to her. On the other hand, according to the book synopsis "another young girl disappears" so I am wondering if that other young girl is her.
Then, again, the plot of the book seems quite different comparing to the series...

So first of all, this is the first week that I actually equally enjoyed both of the eps released.

Now, I do still believe most of my theories are quite possible and there are some things I want to add:

1. Cop and nurse friend of the ML raped Bo Yeong and then they either discarded her body or it was discarded with the help of the police uncle.
+ At first I thought it was their secret, but it seems more like a ''common'' secret. Like both of their dads know something about what happened then (+ uncle cop) and probably covered up for their children. Awful people...

How did BY die?
-> Maybe the rape was so bad, she ended up dead
-> She may have threatened them that she would tell everything and they killed her either by accident or to not lose their future
-> They raped her, left her there and someone else panicked when she saw her and killed her
-> Worst case scenario, they raped her after her death (I truly don't think so though)
=> Another far fetched theory is that one of the girls saw what happened to the other and she got killed so she would not speak.


2. Painting + Four people
Besides the ones mentioned previously (nurse + cop friend, Su Oh and his dad) there are other posibilities:
🔥 I am basically sure about the cop + nurse friend, but not about the two others. At first I thought it would be Su Oh and his dad, but now I am not that sure. Su Oh must have been there somehow, since that truck thing was in his painting and it was something that was not really known to the public etc. Maybe he just didn't paint himself or was an observer.
🔥 His brother, Geon Oh, is certainly involved and most probably one of the people in the painting.
Ngl, when he looked at Ha Sol I was liked ''this dude is sus ah and looks creepy af'', but it seems like he is the only person actually feeling guilty about that day.
🔥 Was the uncle there? I am not that sure anymore. Currently, it is more likely he got there after the murder or he found out after the incident and tried to cover it up. What made me curious is the backpack. When he saw the soil on the garden thing he wasn't immediately alerted that his son took the backpack. It seems like he either forgot what was in there or that he didn't know the backpack was there ro begin with.
💥 Main theory => Nurse + cop friend, Geon Oh and Su Oh are on the painting (+ probably an extra person driving that truck that could be the uncle cop) + I feel that all the parents covered it up and everyone knows, which is extremely fucked and sad, especially since they are basically drinking with Bo Yeong's dad like nothing happened.

3. I still believe the doc killed Da Eun and he was the one that her grandma heard on the phone.

4. I am still not sure about Na Gyeon and if she was involved somehow, even though logically speaking she could have done something to Da Eun since she was and still is super obsessed with the ML.

5. As expected, it was confirmed that the uncle cop and Bo Yeong's mom had an affair. Her dad was awful, but I still think he had nothing to do with her death something that is basically confirmed since everyone got scared that Geon Oh would talk to him when he appeared in the restaurant.

💥 => I like how the main cop is basically investigating the case now -illegaly and informally but still is-. Even though he is still shouting at the ML saying that he has committed the murders and he has an accomplice, I feel that at this point he is mostly trying to convince himself and he doesn't truly believe it. I like how their relationship evolves and honestly I always enjoy watching people from two different sides cooperating to find out the truth.

💥 From the preview, it seems that after the backpack incident -maybe even something else- main cop is trying to convinve the ML to not take the case to the police, because they will cover it up (again), since the chief's son(s) is/are involved.

💥Kudos to Geon Oh's actor. He did a great job and he is certainly a very interesting character.

I agree, but I think that generally people use the term (even if it's wrong) to express a tense relationship (with homoerotic elements) between two male characters. I wouldn't really label their relationship as anything. I think it is quite complicated from the get go and it changes in each episode so a simple characterization wouldn't do it justice.

I mean ratings and reviews have been there for ages. You didn't really miss something. Same old. It hasn't been released and we don't know when or if it will due to censorship. There is a rumor things will be less strict soon though...

It may be frustrating, but I think it is understandable. I mean ML was framed, spent a decade in prison for allegedly killing his best friend and his gf, got out, his mother almost died, he is being treated like a killer, everyone hates him, they repeatedly hit him and even tried to kill him etc. And then someone he knew appears in front of him after so many years apologizing and crying bringing the backpack of the victim with him. It is natural that he assumes he did it and he can't control his emotions. After all we are talking about the backpack he had been looking for. The one that he asked Bo Yeongs mom about and she told him he must know since he killed her. I don't think anyone would act logically if someone came to them with a bloody backpack of their best friend and especially if that someone was framed for that crime...

I dislike his acting quite a lot too. He is annoying, he got that right, but mostly because he is overacting. He is also so extra. Dude literally stepped on the table for no reason to get to ML 😂
He is so ridiculous generally taking into consideration the atmosphere of the drama.

Yes, I agree. I mean, the boy basically confessed and she also seems interested in him, but also a bit conflicted cause of her job etc.

I feel that maybe their relationship will evolve if there is a second season in the future -like they implied-.
