Was it mentioned somewhere (the name I mean). I don't remember at all when it was mentioned and in which episode/scene.
I actually found the fact that he is wearing white quite weird when he was constantly wearing black after his brother died and he was depressed. That led me to think that that last scene was either a different timeline or a different reality (and the things Great is doing is creating two different realities -> In one he stopped his friend from killing the brother of Tongkla so he is out of the hospital and alive and in the other he didn't and the friend killed him).
At the same time, I agree with Great being in a comatose state, so I am not sure if everything we see is happening in his head or some parts are reality and others not.
I hope the rest of the eps are good!
I honestly didn't expect they would do something so drastically different from the book when generally the series is quite faithful to it.
I disagree about it being boring for non-readers. I think it will be more boring for readers, since we know the characters and how the plot will go.
I so disliked the kiss scene in the second episode. The kiss in the book is very special and it happens much later on. There were no childish games of truth or dare to have them come close. Their relationship evolved very slowly from disliking/being uncomfortable with each other to becoming friends and then lovers.
If I didn't read the book, I think I would like the series more, but after that scene I am questioning what will happen in the next eps and how much they will change the book and its important scenes.
1. Their kiss ruined their relationship in the novel cause everyone knew they were step brothers and homosexuality was not exactly accepted or talked about. It ruined the -already ruined- relationship of their parents. It made SW's dad do something horrible and honestly unforgivable -which is also one of the most impactful scenes in the novel-.
Of course, having a truth or dare kiss doesn't mean that they accept people with different sexual orientation, but still it felt very out of place and sudden and just unecessary.
2. Jiang Tian was not that accepting either and had conflicting emotions cause of his past too, so I hope they don't change that.
Honestly, I was a bit shocked with that scene, cause the rest of the series is actually pretty faithful to the original source, so I don't get why they felt the need to add something like this and especially so early.
Book spoilers
I truly disliked that scene. Their kiss was so special in the book and the fact that it happened so early in the series, in a completely different way makes me question what will change in the future too.
Their kiss was basically the reason their relationship went downhill and from what I remember, homosexuality was not exactly accepted in the novel or at least not something that it was talked about. The fact that they chose to have a kiss this early can be vital for the plot of the next eps.
1. Who the hell is that Anuwat Warindej that is supposedly the killer? Like I am not good with names, and especially Thai ones, and I don't remember such a name being mentioned. Inspector was quite shocked so it must be someone he knows right? Maybe even Tonkla.
2. WHAT THE ACTUAL HELL HAPPENED IN THE END OF EPISODE 4?
Okay, this would only make sense if this is something with multiple dimensions or something. In one Great lets everything happen as its suppose to and in the other he changes the events because he sees what will happen 4 minutes later.
So in one timeline Tonkla's brother is dead and in the other he is alive.
There is also that cat appearing.
I am not sure if Tonkla has any type of supernatural abilities or maybe the cat is a symbolism for Schrรถdinger's cat.
Plus that white blouse towards the end seems like it symbolizes something. That can't be Tongkla unless that happened in a different time or another dimension. Tongkla is seen wearing black constantly after his brother's death, but in the final scene that the bro comes back he is wearing white.
3. Tonkla implied that he didn't want to bury his cat at the house cause it would be close to the person who killed it. That is very vague, but I suppose he is talking about his house, so maybe it was his brother that killed the cat or even himself.
4. Honestly before watching ep. 4 the only logical explanation I could think of is that Great is in a coma and everytime he comes near to death he experiences that thing with the 4 minutes and maybe he is reliving his life in his subconscious when in reality he is in the hospital. Could also explain why he constanly sees that 11:02 time.
Which ones were your least favourites?
It was so sudden and shocking!
