I suppose a more thorough research on google will probably make more results appear, however I do believe that if you are really interested you should ask someone that knows the language, to see if they can guide you to korean sources that will probably be more reliable and well rounded. (And yeah, like already mentioned, reddit is actually a great place to ask).
That aside, there is not really "copying" of clothing. If they do copy their clothing in this one, we will find out and this will never air.
Take into consideration that even in Cdramas, most of the times clothing is not really accurate to real life dynasty clothing. Plus, you should understand that some elements may be very similar taking into consideration the history of these places. Korean kingdoms were influenced by Chinese culture like most civilizations on earth have been influenced by others. That is not considered ''copying'', just a cultural exchange. Even though dramas are fictional, I think they are a good way to get a first idea about the relationships between the two countries. Six flying dragons is very interesting in that aspect.
The book is fantastic, I truly hope they do it justice.
The series has a very interesting concept and many veteran actors, however it is not as suspensful as it could be and the revelations -that barely happen- are not really revelations. For example, it was obvious from the first episode that the roulette result was rigged...
So far, even though the series keeps my interest to continue watching it, it is also pretty draggy with many unecessary scenes and barely anything happening in each episode, especially in the last two -with the best episode so far being ep. 2-.
I get how they are trying to follow a usual route, writing/directing wise, by introducing a different main character each episode, but it is not really working in their favour. It is a usual techniche that should make the viewer interested in each person before leading to the final climax, but here it has the opposite result. There is nothing remotely interesting about any of the characters, Episode 3 was full of the lawyer going here and there, trying to talk to the rapist being all ridiculous and the only interesting thing that happened was in the last 10 minutes.
Episode 4 was another extremely uneventful episode, with another not interesting character. We had like 40 minutes watching the mayor being the typical political figure I have seen in probably every kdrama that has a political figure as a main character.
I love the concept of the series but at some points it feels like two completely different dramas. I feel that it would work much better as a vigilante/getting justice type of drama or a series where they focused on the people doing the murder attempts and their stories and not on some extremely bland characters that are not even that well written.
So far, most main characters are uninteresting and I couldn't care less about their motivations (in comparison to the ones doing the murder attempts that feel much more interesting in the little screentime they have). All of them are flawed, but not in a way that makes them interesting to watch which is a huge foul taking into consideration that most of the times characters like the mayor and the lawyer can be intriguing and even steal the spotlight. But now? I couldn't care less for any of them and I would not care if they died...
Waiting for the second half of the drama, where I believe things will be more intense and interesting....
If you don't take it seriously it is a fun watch.
I like Huai En as a character, but the actor is not doing it for me. Hope the rest of the eps change my mind.
He thought he was a woman so I get it I suppose 😂
It is not as bad as I expected but not great either. About ratings, they are not really important. The most important thing is watching it legally so we support everyone involved in hopes we get more period dramas in the future 😁
