I agree about the romance. I actually enjoy the fact that they are not forcing it though. They don't use all those secret stares, slow motions, romantic music. So far they are more strangers that romantic interests.

I am (a bit) obsessed with this series and that one episode a day (Wednesday aside) is killing me.

Agree on the intel that TuRaCh mentioned. That aside, we don't know exactly how things will go. Apparently the book that this is based on, will be released after the end of the series, so it is nice to not know where the plot will be heading.

Season 7th was okayish, but season 8 was pure trash for me.
Everything was just bad...
I just don't really accept that 8th season as something that happened. 7th was the end lol

I do hope this drama surpasses expectations and things don't go as expected. One of my fears is that the FL will suddenly turn too kind and she won't want to harm anyone. She already doesn't, but I am glad she doesn't make any moves to expose herself, because honestly I would expect that from another cdrama.

He is not fit for the role at all. When he slapped Yuanzhi and then was about to slap ML, the ML's face screamed "you wouldn't dare, try if you think you can" and then he slapped him and I was super satisfied. He showed him he doesn't feel like he is fit for the role and that he believes he is powerful just because of his new Sword Wielder title.

I agree and I hope so. So far he can't equally "battle" the other characters. He is not fit for the role, so I do hope he gets mad or at least understands that he should be more cruel.

I hate characters like her, but I can't believe I love her that much. She is hilarious.

I feel like it is a choice by the director. The eps don't end randomly like other Cdramas that end because they hit the 45 minute point. Besides that, it doesn't have that many eps to begin with to be scared of the 40 eps regulation, nor are the eps too long. Till the end of the moon had longer episodes because of the 40 episode rule.
That's my pov and I hope I am right, because if this ends up being canceled I am gonna cry.

I think there was a scandal with one of the actors though so there is that and it could possibly be a reason. But if they acryally decided to air the drama despite it, that is extremely stupid.

I am pretty sure there is already a Chinese censored edition that has some additional scenes and it is not that "explicit" on the romance as the original. But it is not like it suddenly turned to a story with no romance or interactions between the characters, it is just toned down.
Bl dramas wise, this has already been filmed a long time ago so nothing can be changed. And about the general ban, China changes its regulations constantly. We never know. It could be out tomorrow or never.

I think the only thing we should be worried about are the scandals. Of course this is going to be a bromance, but as long as it is like some others we will be fine.
