From what the others said, no, it's different. However, don't forget that adaptations never followed the original…
I know all that, i donāt know why though I really wanted this kdrama to follow the original in almost identical way, since the original plot seems so ādeliciouslyā sinister which peeked my interest a lot. But of corse adaptations always differ, and usually thereās no problem with that (not that thereās a problem here specifically, just sometimes adaptations go overboard with the changes, I am not saying that it must have happened here).
Honestly Iām just really interested in what exactly they changed (what is different between the webtoon and the show) and how it impacts the story and the motivations, and characterization/personality/mentality and actions of the characters.
people like to complain. if they dont like it, dont like tropes, then why even bother watching a rom com built…
Haha. And I like the single parent/single father character troupe, so itās a plus for me, as well as the reason why I want him to not be a bad character.

@ksvrg Youāre not alone, I donāt hate him either. Although heās been getting on my nerves more and more with each episode, and I donāt support his way of going about the situation, I wouldnāt call him creepy or that heās more abnormal than other SML characters in love triangles etc. also, besides that plot line (tho it is the main plot so it is bigger and more emphasised that the side-stories, so itās more important) heās a nice character so far.
(I donāt ship him with FL at all tho, and he isnāt exactly ādeservingā of SFL either right now)
I also still hope that heāll redeem himself in the next episodes.
Hello, I see this has finished airing. Could someone please spare me a bit of their time and tell me, if they stuck to the plot of the webtoon, or if they changed some things (and if they did then what/how)?? I donāt mind spoilers (literally asking for them).
this seonu mf won't confess, acts passive aggressive and possessive, atp i dont want even hayoung to like him…
yeah, I like the other small aspects of his character, but not the way he acts towards the leads and SFL at this point. Itās frustrating that the writers make him this type is SMLā¦
I heard from someone living in SK that it is quite a ābig thingā in Korean culture to avoid head on confrontations…
Oh, I thought you were cursing me out and I didnāt get why š I donāt think itās that extremely weird once you see the mechanism and thinking behind it, and it has some good sides too. Itās just a cultural difference, probably stems from Confucianism (Iām not sure though) which has great impact as a part of the culture of South Korea (and China for that matter).
I keep fast forwarding too. I had to go back and rewatch from ep 5 because I just don't like the SFL. Also, how…
I think SML immediately told SFL the truth because she already met Jun (his son) and talked with him, she already knew the truth but not the situation, if he hadnāt told her then she could have started asking questions while ML was present, which could have actually exposed FLās secret right there, and since SML agreed to help FL keep her secret he tried preventing that (SFL spilling it out in front of ML) from happening.
i dropped it for the moment. i cannot deal with the SML. i find his behaviour so odd. he has no right to act like…
I heard from someone living in SK that it is quite a ābig thingā in Korean culture to avoid head on confrontations and rather read between the lines, and subtly signal everything rather than just say it (for example if someone doesnāt want to hang out with another person anymore, instead of saying it theyāll pretend to be busy and decline invitations for as long as the other person doesnāt get the message - thatās the example they used). So, is the predisposition to misunderstandings is kind of rooted in culture? I donāt know. Of course it doesnāt mean that all of Korean people are like that.
