Scenes between Kong Ji Hyeok and his mother always make me emotional. I'm glad she had enough strengh to attent…
Tbh I don’t think he really knows that she likes JH, he can suspect that JH is interested in her (especially after the talk they had in ep8, tho it also let him know that JH sees him as a cheater and that’s why he was angry), but DR denied that there is anything between her and JH or that she likes JH. With that, even if he finds out that JH likes her, he has no reason to back down, since from that perspective JH comes of as just pursuing her (not mutually) too.

SU probably knows deep down that DR sees him as just a friend, but since she never straight up told him that and rejected him (because he didn’t share his feelings, because he’s afraid of things to change - so that’s on him and not her fault at all) he may delude himself into thinking that there’s a chance that she might like him.

i actually loke his character but WHY did they make him fall for FL. WHY cant they just be friends who care abaout…
I agree, I don’t dislike him, especially that he’s adorable with Jun, but the love triangle is unnecessary and at the end of the day, it does a disservice to his character

Seon U is at fault for more than he thinks. If he would have let Ha Yeong think badly of him, thinking he lied…
She met Jun and he spilled all the beans on Seonu to Hayeong, so he can’t pretend in front of her.

From what I understood based on the limited information given at the end of the episode, the three of them are at a different event that takes place in the same venue/building or the venue next to the venue at which Jihyeok and Haeyoung’s engagement party is happening (or Darim is going for the engagement party - if people working under ML at the company were invited, but SML and his son are there for the different event) and Jihyeok just sees them accidentally.

Also, I think he didn’t cut HY totally off from the beginning, because she provided him with a business opportunity and he needs to make money to make a living (and also he wanted to help Darim with her loans), and it’s not like he completely dislikes her, as she gets along well with Jun (I think he also was moved when she said that her parents never had time for her when she was young, and that’s why she’s wants to do the 1st birthday photoshoot now, by herself).
They were both involved in the project at the company (though HY didn’t really have to be there, but she got herself involved) so he couldn’t really avoid her.
He could have stopped her quicker when she kissed him though.

jang ki yong is so fine but they need to lessen that hairline powder and give him his eyebrows back
Strangely, I don’t dislike his eyebrow-look here, though he looks better with fuller eyebrows

Hmm... I changed my mind. Ji Hyeok is so far gone, more than being angry, I think he's mostly going to feel relief…
probably you’re right

I don’t think it’s Darim’s fault, and I understand why she wouldn’t tell anyone about Jeju (especially…
Ah! Well then, their interaction was different from the fragments that I remembered. Still JH wouldn’t say it because of her marriage, and she didn’t want him to say it (and wouldn’t share it) because she had to pretend to be married (if JH said it, it could blow off their fake marriage cover, and if she acted like she didn’t care about Jeju it could expose her too) and, as you said, because of embarrassment/low self esteem etc. (in front of SU).

But it still doesn’t really change the impact that the consequences of this situation have on DR, SU and his actions, and on JH and his actions.

The 2nd ML coming to the 2nd FL’s wedding with his kid, despite knowing her feelings and situation - is just…
I don’t remember exactly the conversation they had right now, but he told HY that the liked DR and she replied to him that if he couldn’t confess until now his feelings aren’t that true, it was after four of them (HY, DR, SU, JH) all met for the fist time at the office.

So far SU is reluctant in contact with HY even though she openly tells him that she likes him, he lots her at the very beginning at he doesn’t feel the same. And on one hand I get what you mean, saying that he needs to be more decisive and draw the line between them, but on the other hand, as I previously said, he just isn’t giving her the cold shoulder. He isn’t being mean towards her just because he doesn’t think he reciprocates her feelings (which appears to be what you think would be the right response from him, at least from what you’ve said above). She comes to him crying and upset, giving her a tissue is basic level of politeness. He is just being nice to her, it’s not like she is a complete stranger for him to ignore her (and so far, the writers are hinting at the possibility of the SML and SFL getting together later, so they don’t dislike each other now). She asks him to comfort her, and makes him comfort her, if he didn’t, it would be awkward, and I suspect that he does feel bad that she is in this position (called a mistress etc) so he can’t completely ignore her.
[Though he doesn’t feel bad (about her situation that he had taken some part in creating) enough for him to stop using it to go after DR (he asks HY why doesn’t she try to go with the marriage, even though she doesn’t want it) or allowing HY to come clean to JH – which I do not deny, is definitely not kind of him, and even if he does it for DR’s sake too (not wanting to expose the lie), it looks like a dirty move on his part.]

Yes, from our perspective it pretty clear that DR only sees SU as a friend, and honestly he probably knows it too, deep down (that’s why he has not confessed). But she never clearly told him that they are just friends, and never clearly rejected him (which is not her fault, do not misunderstand me, it is because SU never confessed, so it’s entirely on him - I feel like he really needs to hear it tho, if he can’t lose hope and move on without it.)

About DR and admitting her love for others (in this case JH); I do not think about it in relation to SU’s own feelings, but rather in relation to what SU knows about JH and DR.
Of course, she doesn’t have to share anything, but the fact that she doesn’t, unintentionally complicated the situation and the misunderstanding.
From SU’s perspective, he can suspect that JH likes DR, while DR denied more than once that there is anything between her and JH.
From the information SU has so far, JH just seems like a sleezy boss, if DR shared her feelings or her thoughts about JH honestly with SU, he would be given an entirely different impression of him.

[I already said it in some other comment but honestly, neither JH
nor SU gave each other
good impressions, and
it just kept escalating
with the mixed signals
that DR gives
(intentionally or
unintentionally). From
their perspective, both
of them have the base
to think and act how
they do (though their
motivations aren't
entirely pure - JH
going after a "married"
woman (tho now he is
fighting with himself
not to do that, and not
to aide in infidelity, and also trying to “save” her marriage) and
SU using the situation
to his advantage due to
his "hidden feelings"
for DR).]

Idk, but at least in dramas when the boss is marrying they invite the employees to show off and (when the whole thing isn’t private for family only type of event) because it a custom to invite work-colleagues and subordinates I guess

The 2nd ML coming to the 2nd FL’s wedding with his kid, despite knowing her feelings and situation - is just…
She must know that he likes DR, I think he indirectly told her? she told him that if he can’t confess it means he doesn’t truly like her, and that she’s going to change his mind and make him like her (HY) instead.

The only unfair thing that SU did to HY is to tell her not to tell the truth to JH when staying silent made her look like a bad person, which she didn’t sign up for (though she is the one who initiates the contact between the two of them).

I don’t think it’s Darim’s fault, and I understand why she wouldn’t tell anyone about Jeju (especially…
JH asked DR not to tell anybody about , since it turns out she’s married so they almost did something unbecoming together, on the roof of the company.

It doesn’t matter why DR didn’t tell SU that she likes JH (I mean, she has her understandable reasons but they do not change the outcome of the situation) it still only deepens the misunderstanding (and gives SU more reason to act like he does - even though, all in all he’s preventing the leads from getting together, tho as long as DR is pretending to be married and JH doesn’t know the truth they can’t get together anyway (which after ep 8 ending will probably change)).

SU told or signaled HY that he “likes” DR and has been gently rejecting HY’s advances ever since, but she said that since he can’t confess he can’t truly like DR, and that she (HY) is going to still pursue him and change his mind.

(Just to be clear, I do not ship SU with DR, and I’m not even sure if I see SU with HY at this point).

I don’t think DR knows that JH punched SU, I think he didn’t tell her not to worry her. I really don't understand why many people think that DR needs to explain the Jeju incident, to tell SeonU about…
I don’t think it’s Darim’s fault, and I understand why she wouldn’t tell anyone about Jeju (especially that JH asked her not to tell, but he did it because he thought that she’s married, while she knows that she isn’t actually married so “being married” doesn’t actually stop her) but it unintentionally complicates things.
Because while SeonU is using the pretend relationship to his advantage, which is selfish, and simultaneously not being able to honestly tell his feelings to Darim, I don’t think he has any real idea that she likes JH (she denies it more than once), and while Darim denied that JH likes her he definitely sees now that something is going on; but because of his lack of perspective on the whole situation it is easy for him to be suspicious of JH who comes of as sleezy, and also to believe that going after Darim is a fair-game for him (even though his method is not entirely fair towards Darim herself - I don’t deny that).

It’s kind of a crazy dynamic because no one has full information on the situation (even Darim, who is the one who set the machine in motion and knows almost everything, she doesn’t know about SeonU’s feelings - his motivation), and JH is living with most of the things that he thinks are true actually being lies (well, not anymore, judging by the end of episode 8), yet no one is passive and they all are actively involved (which feeds the misunderstanding etc).

They (SeonU and Darim) should talk it out with each other, unfortunately both seem to be unwilling to do so (for different reasons) now.

I’m not sure, but from what I understand all three of them (FL, SML and his kid) are at a different event in the same venue (or another venue in the same building) and the ML just saw them accidentally.

Anyway, he isn’t really playing SFL, he’s always rejected her so far, he’s just not giving her the cold shoulder, but she is still pursuing him willingly despite that.
I don’t necessarily want them to end up together, but unlike the situation with Darim, he’s been honest with SFL and also hasn’t done anything yet that could “ruin her” (she could always walk away from him if she wanted to, she doesn’t- so far).

cause darim is CLUELESS, she might be thinking he’s just an amazing actor cause she hasn’t caught on at all
I feel like they both need to have a talk and be honest with each other. He about his feelings and she about her and Jeju (because, it is true that she has given almost only negative input regarding JH to SeonU so far: she denied him having feelings for her even though it’s quite noticeable that he definitely isn’t indifferent towards her, she didn’t tell anything about Jeju (which is quite understandable, as she probably thinks this information insignificant now, but it does complicate things) so from SeonU’s perspective JH is a complete stranger who suddenly stated hitting on Darim even though as far as he knows she is married, but then gets mad at SeonU for “cheating” etc. it comes of as quite sleezy, and she denies more than once that she has any feelings for JH.
For people that agreed to lie and create a pretend-relationship/situation (even though it was Darim who made him do it, without his consent, but he agreed to help her after that) they definitely don’t share enough information with each other.

First two episodes were great. After that episodes were semi okay but the last 3-4 have been weak. We are tired…
The better part of the plot is based around that lie tho, if they resolved it too quickly, then there would be no more story to tell, just the leads being all lovey-dovey for like 6 episodes? That would be boring too, even more boring. (If they stretch the lie for another 1-2 episodes it will be too much, and it will turn boring, but as it seems JH found out now and things will start to resolve in ep 9, I feel like it’s well-paced enough for me, so far.)

I agree that she needs to come clean to both of them. Although the lie and situation is way more complicated with JH and the explanation is more urgently needed, she also is keeping information from Seonu (She thinks that it is insignificant, and I understand why she would see it like that, but still she should be completely honest in the next episodes) and had involved him in the situation first, without his consent (no matter how it is now, that he is using the situation to his gain too, and yet himself can’t be completely honest, it doesn’t erase or “even it out” - they both should talk openly with each other, and apologize probably).
