Ji Hyeok is suffering a lot, but his internal turmoil is 100% better than if he was like âI donât care if youâre married with a kid, I love you *pursues her selfishly*â which likely might have happened if this drama was released in like, 2011 or something.
I hope that the scene where SML and SFL seem to be intimate with each other (and ML catches them), happens after SML gets over FL, because if not Iâm going to be really mad/disappointed in him⊠lol

He also is trying to shift his focus from FL to his own life, he made a deal with his father that if he takes the position at the company and marries SFL his father will divorce his mother so that sheâll be free from torment. He wants to save his mom and to di that he has to marry SFL.

She kind of is a âstray dogâ herself. The only was for her to be respected as a person is to prove herself capable, still the father wants to give the company to his son who doesnât want it, she was hated because she was born although she didnât ask to be born⊠and how HYâs brother compared her eyes to these dogsâ eyes. I am not justifying her actions or rude behaviour, but it is quite poetic how she cares for the dogs at the shelter.
imagine if ML was in the place of SML and did what SML did. people would be bashing ML saying heâs jerk. but…

SML isnât a âred flagâ or a bad guy, if someone does something wrong it doesnât automatically mean that theyâre bad. He is too much sometimes and I do not defend that, but he also has reasons for the things he does.
Every main character in this drama seems to be complex, theyâre not just bad or good (they all seem like okay people though, just making mistakes or misunderstandings but also trying to get what theyâre yearning for).
Also, coincidentally, ML already asked FL to quit her job (at the beginning), there already had been something akin to the hypothetical situation that youâre talking about.
