Title Dynamite Kiss Spoiler
He truly was out of line (given the fact that he knows about DR's struggle to get a job) but thinking it over,…
yes, he was out of line, but he didn’t push it afterwards, and I think he is both jealous and genuinely concerned (and as far as he knows FL and ML are practically strangers, only met at the job and ML knows that she is “married”). He was selfish but from his perspective it’s still pretty fair-game, and while he does annoying things, I also think I get where he’s coming from (so far).
It’s nice that all the main characters in this drama have so many sides to them.

I wouldn’t say that he’s a red flag, because besides that relationship mess he’s a nice person, but he is…
I am not saying that ML is weird, he isn’t, he’s the most decently behaving person in the room right now. But from SML’s perspective he is acting very quickly with his intentions towards Darim (like paying her dept off even though they’re practically complete strangers and she’s “married” - of course they aren’t strangers, but SML has literally no idea about that, and he seems unaware of the extent of Darim’s feelings for ML as well (also it’s not like she is in a situation to fall in love, she is pretending to be a married woman with a child, so it might be confusing) - so from SML’s perspective ML’s actions likely come across as too much, too quick and a bit inappropriate - ML seems sleezy.

SML is being selfish, overstepping the boundaries a little and I get that, and it is annoying, but he also genuinely cares for the FL. I think him proposing her to quit the job is both because he felt jealous and because he is concerned (she has endured a lot of stress due to that job and the lie she has to keep up, has been in danger just moments before and he sees her boss suddenly making moves on her while she allows him to help her a lot and at the same time denies his interest - I get why SML would be frustrated/confused in this situation). He also has no reason to believe that Darim could be okay with letting her secret be revealed (again because he has no idea about Jeju) so he tries to prevent everything that could mess with it, which also means cockblocking ML

SML doesn’t think FL is his real wife, he does become too overbearing at times, but he also restrained himself so far, from becoming obnoxious and inappropriate with her, it is not such a black & white situation and every of those 3 characters (FL, ML and SML ) has some conflict inside them, and they do some questionable things.
SML is overall a nice person and good parent to his child (Jun is healthy and seems as happy as a child can be with only one parent), people don’t divorce others just because the other person is bad, sometimes things just don’t work out. And seeing how they’re hinting that he was really devastated and hurt after his divorce I don’t think he was solely at fault.

I haven’t finished ep 7 as I’m writing this, but I have like 10 minutes left, and so far SML tried to gently set a boundary between himself and SFL, so I don’t get where do you find him wanting both of them “like a property”.

Lastly, I don’t not have second lead syndrome, I don’t think SML and FL should end up together and I don’t want them together (they’re the best as just friends) and I am not a fan of making SML into a love-triange in general, but here we are. But I do not think that he is a jerk, or a bad person. From his perspective, his actions are sometimes selfish, and he is being quite unreasonably jealous but it’s also understandable (and since he doesn’t know the connection between ML and FL, chasing after her seems enough like a fair-game from his point of view, for him to go after it) and quite realistic.

Anyway, the real true jerks I seen in this drama now, are ML’s father and SFL’s brother.

That scene is his apartment, when his trauma of not breaking the cycle comes to light, is great.

Ngl by the way people expressed their anger at SML for asking FL to consider quitting her job, I thought he would be way more aggressive 😅 but it wasn’t that bad. From his point of view and with the amount of information he has (combined with his feelings towards the FL - the non-romantic ones, as she is still his best friend, and the supposed romantic ones that he realised recently) his actions aren’t that nonsensical at all. Sure he is being a bit selfish, but it is also pretty realistic/understandable.
I am annoyed with him (in that aspect), but not mad yet, I hope he will be able to get over FL before he crosses any lines

I’m only half-way through episode 7, but so far he has tried to make it pretty clear to SFL that he isn’t interested like that and it is her that initiates most of their closeness (no hate to her, I like her).

Agree about the rest.

And now Kim Seo U is a đŸš©, he really doesn't deserve SFL , I hope he wakes up before he loses her or hurts her..…
I wouldn’t say that he’s a red flag, because besides that relationship mess he’s a nice person, but he is mistaken in how he acts right now , and he should reflect more (although from his perspective, he has no idea about FL and ML meeting before and Jeju etc., ML does come of kinda weird).

Yaaaa
Ha Yeong’s brother is the true villain here (if there can be any here), he’s just a straight up jerk x 100
On Dynamite Kiss Dec 3, 2025
Why is FL always in some kind of trouble where she “needs” saving? I don’t dislike her but that recurring tendency starts to be annoying.
On Dynamite Kiss Dec 3, 2025
I don’t think Seon U being good to Darim’s mother has anything to do with his feelings towards her at all. He previously stated that she basically saved him after his divorce and helped him to adjust to caring for Jun, he also has known her for a long time, and views her almost as his own mother. He is going to care about her regardless of how the relationship or situation between him and Darim turns out.

But it is a very real situation - not being able to have the person you want. I actually applaud the writer for…
This, and also he has no idea about Jeju, he doesn’t have the same perspective or understanding of the relationship between ML and FL that the viewers have. So from his perspective, while rather selfish or impulsive, his actions make sense/are quite understandable.

Seon U is such a coward. And he dares to get upset that Darim is giving attention to Jihyeok? He obviously knows…
I think, one big thing is that unlike the viewer (you, me, other people here etc) Seon U has no idea about what happened in Jeju, doesn’t know that FL and ML have met before, and were intimate with each other. From his perspective the ML makes very fast and excessive moves on FL (like paying off her debt) with seemingly no solid reason, which is probably kinda weird as he sees it.

Combining all that with his newly-realized jealousy and the situation FL got him engaged in (pretending to be her husband for work) it kinda explains his actions.
He still is annoying (right now) tho, and is too blinded by his feelings to get better perspective on the situation. He should pause for a moment think, realise that no matter what’s the situation at hand he’s too late with his feelings for Darim (if they’re even real, and he isn’t just confusing himself) and move on.

Ya'll Seon-U is not a bad guy, Be nice. He's just a besotted fool. That's all.
That’s true, and besides the relationship stuff, he seems like a competent father, good at his job and a nice person. Him being annoying and Halley’s seems so significant because the romance is the main plot of the drama, but there is more to his character.

Agree with you so much, I really want to like SML because he’s a good character and person overall, but they had to make him jealous “don’t know when to back down” man

I don’t think that he necessarily is crazy or bad, but his behavior seems to stem from some deep trauma. However…
Yeah, I am not denying that. He should get help, but his wife (ex-wife) should not be responsible for any of it.

What?? Nooo
why can’t they make it later instead? Or why can’t he enlist later? (Edit: apparently it’s his due date, so, why can’t they wait for him then? Or they could have shot his scenes earlier
) He’s one of the main characters, I’m sure originally his role was supposed to be present in season 2, so now it’ll feel weird without him, and the story will kinda suffer because of it
 😭
