I think that boy was too similar in age to be ML, if he was one of FL’s mother foster kids he might have not…
They don’t show them repeatedly though, and they probably showed so many to emphasize the fact that the mother fostered many kids since her own daughter was very young and because of that her daughter felt neglected

I'm 100% sure he is but he doesn't want to trade on his wealth after being abandoned by his parents. It will be…
It is very possible but I really hope that he isn’t, I love this drama so much rn and it’d be a pity if they made him like all the other rom com MLS recently

Who is in Canada? Did they confirm if ML's mom is dead or alive? .. it seems so cliche that he is the illegitimate…
I think that boy was too similar in age to be ML, if he was one of FL’s mother foster kids he might have not been shown in the flashback, we don’t know how many kids exactly she fostered, probably more than just the ones shown in ep 1

Honestly, I hope that the ML isn’t secretly wealthy. I’d make him a bit less interesting character (and in my opinion much less ā€˜sympathetic’ character too), and more like so many others in romance kdramas…

Is that why there was a cameo character in episode 3? She was strong woman's mom who secretly was a bike riding…
You commented under wrong drama then

Imo, nope! It would undermine the strength of the story and character arcs - FL is learning to value a relationship…
Totally agree with you! This drama seems fresh and is interesting and making ML secretly wealthy would make it more like other dramas we’ve seen recently and in the past years. It’d take away from the ML’s character too

Title No Gain, No Love Spoiler
why does the ML live through literally every classic kdrama female lead situation? Even the ā€œKopiko coffee candyā€ (classic product placement) šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ so funny

I love that he's a saint with everyone but her, it's a fun reversal of the usual he's a son of a bitch with everyone…
Yes! I I’m totally smitten by the reversed tropes, it’s so fun!

No problem, I’m glad I could help
On My Only Love Song Aug 26, 2024
This drama is so silly, sometimes even ridiculous haha, and not really meant to be taken seriously, I believe. It’s not of some very high quality, just normal. But still… I really like it, I think it’s because of nostalgia. If I remember correctly, this is the first Korean drama that I’ve ever seen.

Title My Only Love Song Spoiler
can you help pls? I don’t understand the intro. the ML married the princess aka the sFL and not the FL? or the…
So, the intro is a ā€œlegendā€ or a historical retelling of events about the princess, and the FL is an actress that plays the role of the princess in a drama based on that legend. She then gets transported into the past, in the time these characters from the legend really lived. She poses as the princess (because she played her part in the drama) but in truth, the princess is the second FL. The main lead falls in love with the actress (ML) not the princess, and later in the drama they all conspire and manipulate events in a way that allows them to be with and love who they want without changing the original ā€œlegendā€ introduced at the beginning of the drama (kind of identity switch thing). Hope this explains it somehow!

Title Sweet Home Season 3 Spoiler
Literally the only truly good thing that we got from s2&3 were the handsome soldier guys (also interesting characters…
yeah, that was so sad. Also the other soldiers… half of them seemed to be killed off just so there wouldn’t be too many main characters alive at the end. That’s how I felt it anyway

Title Sweet Home Season 3 Spoiler
Well, he was symptomatic so he tried to sacrifice himself, but it didn’t work apparently so he went through…
No, he became a monster, then he became a neohuman (the one that is strong/fast and can’t be killed). At least I understood it that way

Title Sweet Home Season 3 Spoiler
didn't Do Hyun died in season 1?? (IM on ep 8th of s1 currently)
Well, he was symptomatic so he tried to sacrifice himself, but it didn’t work apparently so he went through every stage of monsterization (I’m not sure how to spell that word)

I don't know what happened, after a great season 1 the story went downhill with season 2 which was the worst,…
It’s important to remember that s1 is based on a manhwa that ends similarly, and seasons 2&3 are written by someone else solely for the purpose of continuing the show. Which could have been good if the people writing it didn’t make such a mess with the story. Really even the technical aspects of production are good, it’s just that awful writing…

in general I like the manhwa better, but also (mini spoiler?) S2 and S3 are not part of it, they were made up…
I’m pretty sure it just ends like that. Like there’s no continuation, it’s an open ending. But I haven’t read it so…

I think I can speak for everyone when I say s2&3 were a mess lol, like wth happened?
Literally the only truly good thing that we got from s2&3 were the handsome soldier guys (also interesting characters with some relevance to the main story), although sadly many of them got treated like they got treated. Also the more technical aspects of the production were all well taken care off, but that's it.

Should i bother watching this show ? I have had it on my watchlist for long time now
Season 1 is a masterpiece, you should definitely watch it.
Season 2&3 are generally regarded as bad, way worse or at least just worse than season 1. But if you engage in the story and form a bond with the characters you’ll naturally want to find out what happens to them, how it all ends. So I’d still recommend watching all seasons (I did because of that exact reason), after all they’re all pretty short and you could binge it in 3-5 days.
Generally as I said seasons 2&3 are rather bad, however the acting, cinematography, cgi etc are all good still (although I’d say that camerawork in s3 is slightly worse than in s1&2), it’s just the writing and direction of the story that fell off.
Quite important to note is that s1 is based on a manhwa that ends similarly to it, and s2&3 are written as continuation of the story by someone else just for the purpose of the kdrama.
On Sweet Home Season 3 Jul 24, 2024
They made up so many new characters with individual stories in season 2 that now when they have to finish the series quickly in s3 there’s not enough time to take care of those characters and they’re deemed inconvenient, so they’re just being killed off. Or their stories are unclear and randomly discontinued. It’s all rushed and the deaths feel unreasonable. Why introduce so many characters, make them seem important in the story, in addition to characters from previous seasons, then stupidly kill most of them off without continuing their subplots further or just abandon them? That’s how it felt while I was watching. Bad writing….
