Who is speaking negatively about Wan'er? I believe we can have our own opinions about characters in dramas without creating unnecessary drama ourselves, don't you think?

You have to understand that asian culture are different from western culture. Family and having a face is THE most important. If a member did something wrong, his family could be killed or loose their wealth, houses etc.
So Fan Xian, even if he came from the past to the future (no it is not the reverse. he really came from the past)... he kept his background and culture intact. When he was reborn, he had no father, no mother with him. Only a grandmother.
