Do we know why the previous cast refused to come back for Season 2?
I don't like it when they change the original cast in a second season. The first season was successful because of the performance of the original cast.
The reason the original cast didn't come back is because of scheduling issues, and that could have been resolved if the original cast had been booked and contracted in advance, which is definitely the responsibility of the producers/people in charge. I don't dislike other actors or whatever and hope they will do a good job, I just think if a series is going to do seasons, there needs to be consistency.

I think there should be more commitment to the original cast and make the effort to schedule them on time. Arthdal was a huge hit, there's also been the pandemic. If only they had booked the actors earlier.
I want to watch this but I just can't stand LBH speaking English. I cringed so much during the 1st episode. I…
I'm a native English speaker and I thought his English in this drama was great for a non-native speaker. Definitely had an American accent and his Korean accent wasn't too pronounced. This drama is a masterpiece. Really recommend it.
I watched this drama all way through, but I was bored most of the time. I didn't feel invested in the characters or the story. This drama is overrated in my opinion. Disappointed...
I'm curious what everyone thought about the last few episodes (35-38)?(My thoughts in spoiler below)
Except for the battle scenes, which I really enjoyed, everything suddenly seems really rushed all of a sudden. They jumped forward years a couple of times and I can't help but think that the plot moved too slowly for most of the drama and now they're wrapping things up way too quickly.
I would have liked to see more action earlier on in the drama, a bit less court scheming in Yongzhou, a bit more Jianghu realm and a bit more of the bigger picture (the other kingdoms). For me the romance could have been more epic... Seemed a bit lacklustre at times.
Yu Wuyan is so far a fairly uninteresting villain, he's so two dimensional, but maybe there will be a big reveal in the finale, we'll have to wait and see. Nevertheless, I think they should have enriched his character more. Overall, I'm a bit underwhelmed by this drama. I had higher hopes for it.
