Yeah and it didn't take long for him to cool off and think clearly. I also think that sword's ζζ° (murderous energy) affected him, cause he kept getting flashbacks of stabbing Bai Wei.
To be honest, for me, I understand why Su Mo reacted that way. To hear this from the person he hates the most,…
Bai Ying didn't lead Su Mo on... Bai Ying was constantly rejecting him, over and over. In fact, many comments further down were complaining about how Bai Ying kept pushing him away. But the reality is that they are in love. She loves him, he loves her. He kept pursuing her, kept saving her, kept being around her... Hard to resist... She has lived purely for duty for 100 years feeling like she was to blame for the fall of Kongsang because she fell for Su Mo. The more time she spent with Su Mo, the more she gave in to her own desire, but whenever he asked her she always answered, what I want is to see my people see the light again... She didn't know how to tell him. Just like he hid his dark magic from her and how it was harming him, she also hid the reality of her condition. She also said she had something to tell him later, she promised to tell him the truth. I can't blame her for feeling torn between her heart and what she wants, and her duty and commitment, and what she can offer...
Secondly, Su Mo is benefitting equally from the alliance with Kongsang, there is no taking advantage of one side. They help him and he helps them. The Prince of Qing just said all of that in order to try to provoke a reaction out of Su Mo. But in reality, Su Mo needed the Kongsang people as much as they need him to break their respective seals. Fair trade.
So, I don't think either Bai Ying or Su Mo are wrong, or Zhen Lan for that matter. They are all victims of their circumstances....
Within 3 episodes the little Qing prince finds himself love with the mermaid girl. Itβs almost the 30th episode…
Yeah which is also weird because they're like committing to each other after knowing each other for no time at all, meanwhile everyone else is on the slowest burn ever...
u have to wait for better subs, the ones that are out are just machine translated, the ones subbed on viki are…
Yeah, but these kinds of dramas are largely understandable and even if I don't catch every word, I get the gist. I actually know a fair few idioms and expressions. When I hear them I look them up in my dictionary and save them. When you get more intellectual historical dramas with lots of literary quotes then it's hard. I've learned one Li Bai poem, I actually heard it in a drama recently, I was like AAHHH! I KNOW THAT ONE! π
Are you still living in China or have you moved away?
This drama has a couple of great songs. The end credits one by Zhou Shen and also the Mao Buyi one. Gorgeous. I often watch the credits just to listen to the song lol. ππ

Me too when I can't be bothered to wait. Are you a Chinese native speaker? I am learning Chinese, understand most of what is being said except in particularly complex passages!
Are there any rumors about what exactly got censored? Cause the story seems to be bad, just because it's bad.…
By all means, feel free to disagree with me! π π To me they look like the normal wuxia costumes like every other mid-range wuxia, seen them many times before, nothing special... A lot of it looks very cheap and tacky to me.π€·ββοΈ The props too, that sword Su Mo pulled out lol, doesn't look well made when it's not glowing with special effects.
But I studied fashion and costume at university so maybe I'm just picky...! (Or have different taste from you π.) A fantasy drama with some great costumes is Love & Destiny...! Especially the FL, very unique. Beautiful dipdye, tulle dresses, and later gorgeous embroidery and unique headpieces.πππ Also gorgeous hair etc. Have you seen it? If not, I recommend it, not just for the costumes but the beautiful story and fantastic acting!
