The last few episodes were tasteless. All that build up, all those villains and then... It's all good, Elise is going to Transylvania! Wtf? And the dance sequence... I don't even know what to say about that. I think the director must have been wasted or high to make such bad choices...!
They really massacred the final part of the drama. Plus seriously hardly any punishment of several very serious crimes.... What a badly wrapped up drama. I don't understand this excessive sympathy for Elise and other villains... I mean, it's great for them to see the error of their ways but when such serious crimes have been committed there must be some punishment.
Also, there is a plot hole... In the earlier episodes, Elise speaks to Boris about the poison and says she didn't realise it was going to harm him forever etc and he's like tough luck. So Boris had a hand in the poisoning too? Honestly, they could have done this drama better... It had so many good parts!
Plus... the dance sequence at the end, I can't even... Oh man, that really lowered the quality of this drama.
Bear in mind that the first 5 episodes are like a prologue and a bit of an editing massacre. It gets better after…
Yeah I know, but it's been a whole topic for lots of viewers here. The first 5 episodes... It's come up again and again. I was the same, wanted to drop it, was advised to persevere and it really did improve after those awkward 5 episodes. Advised a few others too, and they wrote back and said they were glad they listened because after they got passed those and into the "main body" of the drama, they were hooked. Anyway, up to you, just sharing.
First impression, its okay, but not giving me any excitement to continue. And I don't feel any spark between the…
Bear in mind that the first 5 episodes are like a prologue and a bit of an editing massacre. It gets better after episode 5, but... for me it's not the best drama ever, but watchable and enjoyable nevertheless! However, some people love this drama, so do persist until you've passed the rough patch and then judge from that point on how you feel about it.
She's definitely one of the worst characters ever written.
I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of them genuinely had eating disorders...
I keep saying, China needs a body positivity movement. A bit of self love and acceptance and the knowledge that beauty comes in many different forms....
What this person didn't realise is I'm actually helping them in the long run... That's a valuable life lesson up there. I don't need to repeat myself, I've already made my point. They can take it or leave it.
She's definitely one of the worst characters ever written.
Oh I hear you on that one, don't get between me and my tea....! 😂
Tbh, I haven't seen him in previous dramas, and whether he's gained some muscle or a kilo or two, he's clearly not obese, my god... I object to the messed up beauty standard of wanting anorexic looking men and women!

Yeah, I know what you mean... Excessive adoration of a fictional character or an actor (who doesn't even know you exist) and "defending" them to such extents is just bizarre. I mean if it's bullying or reflective of some kind of disturbing issue like the ones saying Li YiFeng is fat (I take issue with that because he is clearly a healthy weight, so what on earth!), that's one thing, but you can't bully a fictional character... Taking personal offense at something that isn't directed at you... Just bizarre.
These people tend to have a black white mentality too. Honestly, it's not just this crazy fan culture and tendency towards online "wars" but this whole way of thinking of either you're with me or against me. Mental. I don't ship Na Sheng, but geez, I won't forbid everyone from liking her or praising her character. People should do and say as they please within reason. No skin off my back...!
Tbf it's a fictional character, not a real person... I'd have an issue with someone wanting to kill off a real person, but a fictional character...? Not so much.
These are 2 opinions that conflict. There is no wrong or right, just a different point of view.... But when this happens, a problem emerges:
PERSON X: How DARE you hate pink? How can you say something so horrible?! PERSON Y: I hate pink, sure, but I didn't tell you you had to hate pink too... We can disagree without becoming enemies providing you accept that I hate pink and I accept that you love it. It's called respect and tolerance for a difference in perspective... So, can we agree to disagree and have a friendly discussion from now on?
I hope my dialogue here illustrates what the issue here other members are trying to point out to you.
