While you wait, would you like to try a youth drama that revolves around ice skating? The drama is dedicated to…
Sad endings can be hard to bear after investing a lot of time and emotional energy on the characters. However, sad endings can also be poetic and powerful even if they are devastating.
Some negative viewers criticized the drama after only 3 ep aired, compared it to AoL, voted 1 point and left.…
I get it, but I just think live and let live. Let them be. As my great grandfather used to say: "There's nought as funny as folk" (= people are strange) lol.
I think Jupiter's account has been deleted, their comments disappeared all of a sudden. But I think responding to someone like Jupiter with outrage or in the same tone just adds fuel to the fire. I responded politely to them a few times and they couldn't be bothered with me lol. Seems like they were really into starting fights. Someone like that, it's best to just be polite because then they don't get the result they are after. So it doesn't really matter what someone's motives are with their criticism... The way I see it is if one speaks courteously to everyone, then at least you've given them a chance even if they don't reciprocate. If someone responds in kind, then all that happens is you ,(one) become guilty of the same thing you're accusing the other person of... Like the people who start to personally attack another member for (as they see it) "attacking" a certain performer. It's just hypocrisy imo.
While waiting, some of us are on the lookout for younger female leads who might one day replace Dilraba, should…
We'll see...! I grew up in a very gender progressive society that rejected traditional gender roles. I don't like seeing successful women having to give up their work for marriage and children, but of course it's her choice... But for some professional women in some places, they couldn't even if they wanted to.... Or they would be shamed for working (like Yang Mi) while having a child.
Where I am from, childcare should be equally divided between parents, it's expected and encouraged. For example, when my brother and sister in law had their daughter, they took turns taking half a year off work for maternity/paternity leave. He spent half a year off work looking after their baby while she worked and she also took half a year off while he worked.

I wouldn't be surprised if she puts that off for a few years. And frankly, she seems like the type who would keep working even after getting married... I think she will follow in Yang Mi's footsteps and create her own empire. So weird this culture around celebrities and how they are just expected to retire after getting married and having a baby or how they will lose appeal if they date or get married. To me as a Westerner, that is just absurd.
I felt the same before i watch Under The Power. Then tried watching his other dramas but couldnt finish it. I…
You're right. Yang Yang is quite stiff and has that deep but quite monotonous voice, but Dilraba really brought out the best in him, Made him glow somehow. Maybe she'll have the same effect on Ren Jia Lun!
Zheng Shuang and Yang Yang were both dreadful in Love O2O in my opinion. Actually, I hated the whole drama. It was just awful from start to finish. I mean, I know we all have different tastes, but I just could not understand the hype around that drama.
The actors' age gap is quite wide, but Ethan Yuan looks 10 years younger. His character is 33ish. He looks it too. And the FL's character starts off as 25 or so, even though she behaves like an 16-18 year old at first lol.
Yes.. not more than 50 .. new regulation... so you will see many weird edit and cutting in the dramas this year
Is your source on Weibo or Baidu? If not, worth double checking. I just Googled it and all the recent sources say 40 episodes, but Google isn't as reliable as a Chinese language source.
Yeah, the way to get round it is to divide them into parts... Good point! Thankfully there's that loop hole lol! But I just don't want Chinese dramas to start doing seasons... In my experience C dramas with seasons are vastly inconsistent. I much prefer a drama with a complete story. I've lost count of the number of Western TV series I loved that have been cancelled and left me hanging with an unfinished story.
