For sure, we all have different perspectives and as long as we're all courteous about discussing them, there's no problem. I have seen some really nasty bullying on here and I just can't understand why people can't be more polite even when they disagree! Sometimes I even hesitate expressing a controversial view because I might get the hoards attacking me.

With Ren, I just don't understand what people see in him I guess...! 😆

Singapore Airport is one of the most amazing airports in the world. A park, an indoor waterfall, art exhibitions, top rate restaurants, cafes, bars, hotels, a cinema, endless shopping.... lol Staycation at the airport!

Regarding TLB, it wasn't Dilraba's performance so much, although I wasn't 100% convinced by her performance. For me it was the lack of romance. I felt she lacked chemistry with Leo Wu. I also didn't like their main sidekicks the second couple. They were cheesy. Anyway, not my favourite. I rewatched it recently actually. It is very good, just missing a little something for me to make it great.

Yeah, The Rise of the Phoenixes is not an easy watch. It's like a fine wine, has to be savoured thoughtfully... You have to be in the right mindset, calm and focused. It sucks you in more and more. If TLB was Historical "Pop", The Rise of the Phoenixes is classical music lol. The costumes and sets are to die for... You can see the quality of the fabric even, it's exquisite.

You never know with this drama.... 😂 I look forward to Part 2 (however many years that takes.... sigh....)

I was just saying above, I don't rate a drama till I've finished it, and I reckon there's a fair amount of people who are the same... So, the score might go up over the next few days.

I have to admit, I would prefer that if she was replaced. For me personally she is the weakest link.

Yeah, I don't understand the low rating! It's a gem! Sophisticated, eccentric, interesting, unpredictable, complex...!
But we'll have to see if the rating goes up... A lot of viewers like myself don't rate it until I've completed it and the final episode has just aired today. Score may go up over the next few days....

Yeah, it is really rare for there to be a satisfying ending to an unfinished drama in C drama land! Thank goodness it wasn't a Princess Agents ending lol.

We don't yet know how much he really cares for her... After all, he prioritises his own development over her, which I don't find particularly promising.

I have to say I'm glad to see Zhao Kai go, his Dracula look and naive delusional mentality was a bit lame...

My biggest criticism of XFN and the ending is that he hardly features in the final fight until the end... I would have liked to see him fight more. This final fight should have been his shining moment, but he barely featured. I find that somewhat unsatisfying. In general, the fight was a bit unsatisfying in terms of choreography...

It was nice however, to see Chen Zhi Bao make an appearance and all the Xu siblings and other characters from the start...!
I also would have liked to see more of a family reunion and see more interactions between the siblings (and even CZB) before they all went back to their respective homes.

So.... Wudang's Head Disciple... Friend or foe? We know now why he said he wouldn't go down the mountain until he was #1 in the world. Most likely a God, what do you think? Since he went into a deep sleep when the celestial gate started opening... and the Wudang Head said he was going to awaken... After Deng Tai'E's warning about the dangers of Gods coming down to the human realm, I wonder whether he will be a major player in the next part...

Singapore looks super cool. Don't you guys have the only street food market with Michelin stars? And you could go on holiday there and never leave the airport lol.

Yeah The Long Ballad was very popular. I liked it but I have to say it's my least favourite Reba drama. I can't remember whether my first C drama was Eternal Love (10MOPB) or The Rise of the Phoenixes. After those two, I was hooked.

Actually, it's an interesting topic the subject of fictional stories set in historical time periods. How much leeway should dramas have when portraying a real time period? There are arguments for both sides of the debate...

Oh, Singapore, that's awesome. When this pandemic is thoroughly over and travelling becomes easier again, I really want to travel around China and Singapore and all those awesome places!

I started learning Chinese after I got into C dramas, before that I really knew nothing about China or the Chinese culture/history/language/food etc. It's become a real fascination for me!
