Wow, I'm so surprised. C drama CGI can be dreadful, but I was really impressed by this one. It had a very physical 3D quality to it. You could tell it had a very high budget. I thought that fight between Li Chun Gang and Wang Xian Zhi was epic and very impressive! Which C dramas have you seen with better CGI...?

I didn't have any of the audio issues you're referring to...! I have experienced those kinds of issues in the past though! Where did you watch it? I watched it on Viki.

Of course, it was just a few instances for me. But I also loved how absurd it was!

Only very passionate people bother to write reviews, and it's usually love or hate. I think this drama is an acquired taste... But that being said, it's like a cocktail of genres, it has something for everyone.

How to mix a genre cocktail....
This is the most surreal, unexpectedly hilarious drama I've watched in a long time... One second you're laughing at the sheer absurdity of it all, the next you're sobbing, the next you're on the edge of your seat with dread...

I almost dropped this drama halfway through the first episode because it seemed too mafia cliche, but omg, it takes an unexpected turn and things just get totally bizarre from thag point on...

I actually started this drama once before but only got half way through the first episode and thought it just seemed too cliche so I dropped it.... But I decided to give it another shot and I'm so glad I did, omg, it really took me by surprise, the story got so unexpectedly hilarious and bizarre as soon as he got scammed and robbed by those taxi/limo thugs. 🤣 I was sold from that point on.

Sometimes the comedy is so ridiculous it's hilarious. The soundtrack had immense comedic effect too, like the shower scene in the beginning... 🤣

Omg the ludicrous pigeon theme was just bizarre... It was funny when it was keeping him awake, but when the flock saves him from assassins, that went a bit too far imo. Sometimes they went the right degree of far, but other times they could have held back a bit lol.

Really? I would say by Chinese standards, this was really great. C dramas often have audio issues.... I'm never surprised by that. Missing audio, switching between original voice and dubbed voice, patches of random music and no voices lol, sound that is on half volume for a few minutes at a time.... All commonplace.

But the CGI? I thought it was really good. What are you comparing it to?

Apparently it was supposed to get that airing slot but it was swapped for another drama. Someone below suggested it may air in the next slot on the 30th...

I like romcoms and comedy, but just a bit more mature ones... I'm watching Vincenzo right now, which is unexpectedly hilarious at times. I watched Legend of the Blue Sea some time before as well, which was also very funny!
