It's so repetitive that I start to think it would have been better as a movie.
In its current incarnation, possibly yes. BUT I really think the story, the premise and the main characters are great, the problem has been with execution of the story and the writing. When I first started watching this, I was so enchanted in the first half of the drama... But that excitement has sadly faded somewhat...
Same, I like this drama too but I wish it got a screenwriter that has experience in historical dramas. But I’m…
Yeah, I even think it could be remade into a xianxia C drama... Something with 3 story arcs like the Ten Mile of Peach Blossom dramas. 🤔 I wish I could make these dramas myself sometimes! 😅
Oh man, I love this drama and I was obsessed with the first few episodes, but the last two episodes were unsatisfying... The same conversations happen over and over again with very little progress. It feels repetitive. This drama could be so much better with better writers, directors and producers. The actors, the look of it all, so great. It just needs fleshing out imo...
Yeah! It was about time! I disliked him less in this episode though because it looked like he finally realised…
Did she? I thought she had kind of avoided being too direct because of her gratitude. Can't recall anymore. Anyway, he couldn't accept it before, probably thought he still had a chance. Imo, he should have understood from the moment in that rain scene when she asked the Prince to put her down and when she went to Ha Ram.
Frankly, the demon went into Prince Joo Hyang when the painting burned in the beginning, but Ma Wang didn't stay…
Totally, but I think the creators are at fault for not using the screentime well. A lot of insignificant moments get too much screentime imo, whereas important ones get little or none. I hope the Chinese do a remake...A nice long C drama with 50ish episodes, with more developed subplots, arcs and supporting characters would fulfill this story's potential and give it more time to grow...

He was suffering from the delusion that he had a special connection with Cheong Gi... I get it, he fell for her and didn't realise that she already had an unbreakable bond with Ha Ram. I will forgive him if he wakes up and turns back now. Good life lesson if he becomes the king!
