On another sort of Useful Comment, this is not your regular Zhao Li Si drama. There is a lot of comedy but it…
Just finished. I wouldn't say this is a major improvement compared to her other dramas. She just lacks maturity and depth. Another actress as FL could be so much better...
I'm almost done with this drama, I'm in love with Fu Jiu Yun, Zheng Ye Cheng was so amazing here, great Actor…
Zhao Lusi is not the best actress for this role, in my opinion. Another actress could have given this show more depth. The one I really can't stand is Xuan Zhu, there is hardly any evolution of her character at all... So whiny, jealous and annoying. and perpetually miserable, I kept waiting for her to grow up a bit, either to become a villain or to become enlightened, but even in her last moments, she was still so whiny.
I am seeing a lot of mixed reviews about this drama. I am wondering if I should start this or not?
I just finished it. I gave it an 8, but some parts are definitely 7.5. Consider it a filler drama. It is enjoyable enough to watch, though I skipped some scenes out of boredom/cringe. The story itself is great, the execution of it somewhat misses the mark. The acting is just a bit meh, and the script is painfully cliche sometimes. If this had been made with actors of a similar standard to 10 Miles of Peach Blossom, it could have been a hit. For me the biggest issue with this drama is Zhao Lusi, she simply doesn't have the maturity or depth to carry this kind of leading role. (In my opinion...) Her baby voice and silliness is more suited for lower quality fluff. Overall an enjoyable watch if you keep your expectations low and haven't watched something extraordinary beforehand.
The most depressing gut-wrenching drama I've ever seen. It's either the ML crying, if not, then the FL is crying…
Yeah, it's just relentless. I mean, it's a great drama (until the editing/censoring catastrophe in the later episodes). I wish it had more light moments and some funny moments. It would balance out all the tragedy and anguish.
The King is in name only... He is ill and the Fourth prince is the Regent who is managing the court... So we never…
The Rebel Princess was so good, after I finished it I watched it again from the beginning! I just watched 100 Days My Prince recently (K drama), which is quite funny. Lots of laugh out loud moments!
Definitely not a predictable plot! A lot of C dramas have samey plot twists that if you watch enough of them, you can foresee the plots of other ones. This drama definitely has a fair few of unforeseen plot twists.
Thia drama really can't seem to decide who its main characters are. In the beginning, it's clearly about Fu Rou and Chumu, but then it's like the supporting characters become the main characters. Then some of those characters die suddenly or disappear and there's a loss of a sense of continuity, and then other supporting characters take over and become the main characters.
From the sounds of conversations above, it will either be summer holidays or end of the year.... Hope it airs in the summer...
Overall an enjoyable watch if you keep your expectations low and haven't watched something extraordinary beforehand.
