Oh come on... 7,8? This is an 8,3 - 8,5. Don't be discouraged! This is a good drama! I really liked the costumes in this drama, not remotely "generic" hanfu. The hair ornaments were very special too.
7.5?! Seriously? While low quality, fluffy idol dramas get 8s and 9s, The ratings on this site are so unreliable. Compared to the first season, this season lost a certain something that was in the first, but I rated the first season as a 10 and the second as a 9.5, and I'd say I have pretty high standards.
This seems quite a common issue with C dramas. I wonder why... Is it because of low standards for directors/producers/editors?
Oh! I didn't realise it was like that. They could seriously cut down on some of the poor quality dramas to give room for higher quality ones... That would free up some air time!
Less than 10 episodes left and its hard to continue watching. The storyline is getting boring in the way it presents…
Sounds like the same failings as "Ming Dynasty". I had to drop that drama... Started off with promise and that just vanished after the first arc... That being said, they often skipped major personal events too, so there wasn't enough character development and it became more of this happened and then that happened.

I knew about the episode cap, because a lot of dramas were messed up by that in 2020. But hey seem to have dropped that because recent dramas have aired with more than 50 episodes. I didn't realise that editing often happened a long time after shooting. Weird. But still, as for directing, a lot of C dramas fall short in that regard, favouring childish whiny characters and cheesy fluffy romance/cliches. To a certain extent, the C drama cliches are almost a style of their own, but so often it's just painful to watch. I skip over some cliche scenes nowadays because they're so cringeworthy lol.
This isn't what I expect. I'm looking for opportunities for anyone to get rid of her at this point. I think I'll…
I dropped this ages ago. Can hardly remember. But I remember being intensely annoyed by Angelababy's acting (or lack of it)... I think it was her face. The same pouty look all the time... It's a shame, because I liked Wallace Chung.
This drama has some major flaws and the FL is one of the big ones. When we're introduced to her when she's older she seems more mature, far sighted and experienced, but then when she meets Bo Wang, she turns back into a little girl and gets more and more ridiculous and stupid. It's a shame because this drama had a lot of potential imo. It would have been far more interesting if her character was more developed.
The King is in name only... He is ill and the Fourth prince is the Regent who is managing the court... So we never…
I liked this drama but the last episode was a complete mess in my opinion. I thought it should have ended on episode 52, which would have been a nice ending. It was like episode 53 was an afterthought where suddenly there's more drama but they have to wrap it up somehow so they did that weird scene with the static... Total mess. I enjoyed it up until episode 53.
I also think they should have had a support actor in for the king evej if he only had a few scenes. It's weird how you see everyone else except him.
