Some people don't know how to disagree with people without making it personal. They take offense when someone doesn't like the same things they like and try to chase people out of a comment section. I've seen this behaviour too many times here and I don't like it, fans trying to police the comment section and not allowing any criticism. It's immature and unnecessary.

So? That's what the comment section is for, discussion and reviews. Not all reviews are positive and that's ok. I'm not giving attitude, I'm asking you to reevaluate yours. You are welcome to whatever opinion you like of the drama or actors, but please interact more respectfully with other members so that this environment can be a fun place to discuss dramas. Totally agree, but fortunately he has a lot of very promising productions coming up with seasoned and talented actresses who have the full package, not just a pretty face. I have high hopes for his collab with Tiffany Tang (A Moment but Forever) and Wu Jinyan (Kill Me Love Me).

Agreed. The first actress really wasn't that good, which unfortunately shows how poor JJY's performance was by comparison... Very unnatural and two dimensional.

I love Liu Xueyi, but it's so hard to maintain interest in this drama. I hope his future productions are better and more mature.
Ju Jingyi is like a living doll she's stunningly beautiful, but she cannot act. It's so stiff, unconvincing and lacks range and depth. I think I will be avoiding her dramas from now on, unfortunately. I know there are devoted JJY fans out there, but sorry guys, don't bite my head off, I'm just speaking my truth here...
The story also is also a bit uninteresting, but I've already watched 22 episodes so I should probably power through to the end...

I like when there's a bit of that because you get a feeling of everyday life and get attached, and then when the dramatic scenes come they hit in a different way for me. It's like total immersion rather than getting towards the destination. I have to say my favourite C dramas are all in the 50-70 episode range.

90 is pushing it, but many of my favourite dramas are 50 to 70. Love & Destiny, Story of Minglan, Eternal Love of Dream, Ever Night, The Rise of the Phoenixes, I mean the list could go on and none of these dramas would be the same had they been cut to 40.

For those of you like me who have been watching C dramas for years now... I miss the 50-70 episode length so much. 40 just feels rushed.... The old dramas had so much more time for character development and layers. I miss the amount of time that was devoted to the stories and each arc was really fleshed out.

Very strong start. Hilarious. Very witty. Kind of Love to Hate You vibes. I was loving it. Then from ep 8 onwards it's like a different writer took over and it became serious, boring and predictable. The last two episodes were so tedious I had to skip my way through them.

I got Love To Hate You vibes until ep 8 when it started going downhill until it hit the bottom and stayed there for the final. What a let down!

If Gujian hadn't given her up and pushed her towards Chengyin to begin with, the whole story may not have happened. His betrayal was what started this whole mess. He lost his chance.

I think people confuse happy ending as a good ending, but a sad ending can also be a "good" ending if it fits with the rest of the story. I totally get why it ended the way it did. She had just been pushed to the absolute limits of what anyone should have to endure. How could she forgive him for killing everyone she loved and continue to live happily together? He wouldn't let her go either, so she was trapped. I also loved the scene afterwards of how he lived in deep regret for the rest of his life and longed for her... I found that very moving and meaningful.
