When will they make another drama like this with this level of sophistication, authenticity and soul? In terms of quality, depth and maturity, this drama is still unmatched to this day.
I don't hate it, I just don't find it funny or that interesting. Honestly, I find it hard to get through a whole…
Well, I don't like dropping dramas when I've already watched several episodes unless it's really bad. With every episode, I keep hoping it will improve lol. What's more, I like Rowoon. I haven't watched the last two episodes, but if I have nothing better to watch, I will watch them.
I don't understand how can people hate on this drama..!!!???? I find it hilarious(swimming on tableγ γ γ γ γ γ γ γ γ )…
I don't hate it, I just don't find it funny or that interesting. Honestly, I find it hard to get through a whole episode in one sitting out of boredom. It just isn't gripping me. It's not a bad drama, it's just a bit meh.
I have a question for MDL peeps; βMUST EVERY DRAMA WITH MALE AND FEMALE LEAD BE A HEAVY ROMANTIC DRAMA?β In…
For me the comedy (or lack of it imo) is what is the most disappointing aspect of this drama. I could forgive that if the romance was interesting, but that part doesn't interest me either. It's a shame really because I had high hopes for this drama.
I feel so tempted to watch because Iβve been seeing so many comments praising the cinematography, but I keep…
Omg, no don't be discouraged! Definitely watch it. It's an amazing drama!!! One of the best I've seen this year. The ending (more like the last bit of the ending) upon reflection, seems like it may leave an opening for a second season... I hope that's what they were trying to do anyway. If the drama is a complete story, then the ending is just a tiny smudge on an otherwise perfect drama.
I have no idea what possessed me to finish this drama but it was not worth itI did so many chinese assignments…
Same. Every episode I watch I ask myself why I am wasting more time on this dry biscuit of a drama. It's like watching paint dry.... The only thing that kept me going was the fact that I had already watched so much of it, I don't like dropping dramas and I like the leads. But I'm on the last few episodes now and I simply cannot make myself watch anymore. It's just a terrible drama. The collective talent of the cast is truly wasted on this story. It's less interesting than real life! π€£
The FL was kinda passive for the final episodes, which makes sense cuz it got more political then but still...…
Agreed! I've seen this happen many times in C dramas. The FL starts out as a badass, capable amd mature heroine and becomes more and more of a passive damsel in distress as the show goes on in order to not outshine the ML and let him be Prince Charming. I think this is a slight weakness of this show too. They could have maintained her maturity, after all she was an older woman in a younger body, but it felt like she became younger with each episode. I also think her mature character was much more engaging than the innocent, cute girl version.
This drama was fantastic. Very very well done. Acting, music, pacing, story, production... It's been a long time since I enjoyed a palace drama as much as this one.
But I had heard this drama had already received its distribution license which would suggest it had already passed the censorship stage.

2) Him kicking his son in the back, wtf?
3) That they didn't get married earlier on so we could see them together longer
I only have 3 objections...
