I totally agree with you. This drama was profound. I think a lot of people who didn't like it simply didn't understand it very well because it's so complex weaving together 1000+ years of history, rebirth, karma... It was beautiful. Villains who became victims and victims who became villains, misunderstandings that penetrated time and enduring love, devotion and hurt.

Watch it a second time and you won't be confused. It's a very complex plot with a lot of details that you may miss the first time round. I understood it all after rewatching it. I think it's beautiful how they managed to connect 3 time periods into a complex wheel of karma and rebirth.

I always recommend this drama but insist people stop on the penultimate episode because I swear this drama would be 8.3-8.5 on here were it not for that bizarre last episode.

The new regulations say that there has to be min 6 months between seasons.

Fatshaming an actor? Yeah, that's out of line. Expressing dislike of a drama or a certain performance? Totally valid critcism. If you don't agree, just move on... Do not take offense because not everyone agrees with you, that is dictatorial. You cannot "be rude" to a drama. Dramas don't have feelings. Should I be offended if you love a drama I can't stand? That would be so childish. Different people like/dislike different things and they are 100% free to express that opinion without being ganged up on and insulted.

As for high quality dramas and mature romances, you could try "Meet yourself". It's a Slice of life drama about a career woman who becomes consumed by grief after the death of her best friend so she takes a sabbatical and goes to a small village in Yunnan to try to rediscover the joy/purpose of life. Slow paced but very soulful and wholesome like this drama.

Watch the first season at your own pace, the second season can wait, but you may end up binging S1 like a lot of us did lol. But you definitely need to watch the first season in full to understand the events in this season.

I'm glad we've had some time since the first season to accept the change. For some time I couldn't accept it either. At this point, I'm just glad to see a second season at all lol. Hope it is done as well as the first season!

Well... for some reason they divided the first season into 3 mini parts. Each "part" is 6 episodes. You won't regret it. It's one of the best and most unique K dramas ever made. Just be aware there is a change of cast in season 2.
