That being said, we very rarely got to see the inside of Babi's head, but as soon as Wung is back, we are back in his head. So, I think Wung is end game.

I have mixed feelings about the ending... Honestly, I feel like this confrontation with Ouyang Xu should have happened earlier, and I would have liked to see more relationship development for the leads. This drama had some similarities with Story of Minglan except it never reached the same depths, had the same level of wisdom and the progression stops when the leads get together. I would have liked to see them getting married and negotiating married/family life next to business life and then a bigger badder obstacle than Ouyang Xu, it just felt really random at some point. You could also tell that important scenes had been cut like the scene after they were hit with all those logs.

Same, I'm not worried about their acting, but about how easy it is for directors or editors to butcher a potentially great drama. Seen so many potentially great dramas massacred by bad editing in the last two years. It's rare to get a C drama that is perfectly pieced together.

Yeah I kind of guessed. I'm not in the mood for these heavy dramas atm! That being said, I'm looking forward to Immortal Samsara, hoping for a good xianxia!
