Warning: I hope you like Majkang style melodrama/SoapOpera, Cause Black Money Love isn't just Action Rom, it also leans on very heavy Melodrama, so not for people who are allergic to drama/Prefer more comedy style.
But otherwise it's an Award-winning series for a Reason.
I'll copypaste my comment about it from another recc I made to another person here:
" "Kara Para Ask" / "Black Money Love" (its english title). It has Both DEPTH & SIZZLE too!
It' on Netflix with about 165 eps x 45 minutes. That might look like Many eps, but I guarantee you IT'S ABSOLUTELY WORTH it! :
1.). It doesn't FEEL that long because it's Extremely well-paced. No boring Moments after ep 3 when plot gets going on Netflix version (ep 1 in original version). It's so addictive too, you'll be glad it's long and that you'll have many MANY EPS WITH A GREAT PAIRING! 😍 No "WHAT Great Romance pairing should I get into next, I feel empty!?!" for a while for you with this series. 2.) The couple's chemistry is FIRE and it's the most realistic couple scenes I've ever seen in a drama ever (One of those pairings people wonder if they date irl after the drama, especially since the actress got suspisiously divorced after the drama after THAT chem lol). The directing of their scenes, they're such a hyper realistic Cuddly couple that makes one Warm inside.🥰 3.) It's possibly the best Relationship Buildup I've ever seen. Excellent writing. 4). I've never seen such an Hyper- Emotionally Supporting pairing like this before. They are the definition of "Being There for each other through dark times (&danger!)".
Basic plot: Ömer (ML) is a cop + Elif (FL) a designer, who suddenly experience mutual tragedy as his fiance and her father are one day found murdered together in a car. They begin investigating together, while constantly being put in danger. Also family is a central theme. And Diamonds.
Genres: Thriller-Romance (LOTS OF ROMANCE in this thriller, romance is NOT just a subplot in case you're wondering, obviously not at the Start as he' greving his fiance. But they have chem since ep1, which builds up slowburn nicely. But also lots of Thriller where leads are always in danger!), Melodrama, Slice of Life. It gets more melodramatic later on. Good ending (Let me know if you want spoilers if happy or sad ending).

It's Extremely emotional at times, emotional depth lots of it in the drama and in their relationship, the pairing isn't only supporting each other through it all, they are also Emotionally Supporting THE VIEWERS by making the pain bearable with their cuteness and hopes despite their traumas.🥰😅
(The original ep count is 2h eps x 53 eps or something like that. Netflix cut the eps into more easily watchable shorter eps. This original 53 ep version can be found on Youtube, if you don't have Netflix).
Nowadays also there's a 45 minute x 165 eps Eng DUB version on Youtube. But I recommend the Eng Sub version on Netflix (if your country has the streaming rights), the actors act so well with their voices"
Retyping because I accidentally hit Backspace before posting a very loooooong comment!! 😵💫🫨😭😭

FUN FACT, that makes Alias more exciting: EXPECT GREAT CHEMISTRY🔥🔥😍 BECAUSE.... The Lead actors actually dated irl (If i remember correctly the timing: it was during filming season 2-4), Until the actress suddenly dumped him for another costar in a movie (Ben Affleck, Daredevil. Now many years later she divorced the bastard for being a drunk and abuser. Made me feel even worse for the Dumped actor), Poor man. DESPITE this the actors were SUPER PROFESSIONAL and Filmed a last satisfying Season 5 and finished the series well for fans despite the awkward situation. I will forever be grateful for them finishing it well despite it all. Imagine if they'd ruined a 10/10 Series because of their irl situation!!! Glad they were so considerate towards fans/shippers. It didn't end badly or abrubdly. 5 Seasons was just perfect. 🤗
This irl backstage drama stressed me out so much during the time😭, but luckily none of it ruined the series. Them ending their irl rel didn't make the Lead Character's sweet romance any lesser. It's still a great Spy-Rom story.
Alias has love triangles at start when the leads start as just friends &coworkers/Fellow Spies working Missions. Slowburn buildup, but not too slow, you won't have to wait many seasons for romance. Later on they become all about each other, but later as Seasons go by has some love triangles, but leads are still always just in love with each other, the others are obstacles that makes things more exciting. I didn't find the love triangles annoying, as the others were never True options. The leads aren't Torn, it's the forced circumstances. Can't spoil with detail. Every season end & season start has huge twists, I'll say nomore 😆
Healer Happiness A Love to Kill Vincenzo Marry My Husband Cain and Abel Secret Miss Night and Day Behind Your Touch (but barely had romance)
My Perfect Stranger -JKJ's kdrama was also good, but I wasn't invested in the romance part ha ha, somehow saw/prefered the leads as Friends, although I enjoyed their scenes together, saw no romantic chemistry, looked like Platonic bffs
Well some of those are more Revenge + Rom, but yeah, the combo of either Action or Revenge + Romance works so well!
Outside of kdrama, I'm also in love with Action Romance overall!: Several old american Spy/MurderMystery + Rom series like Alias, Chuck, Bones, The Mentalist, Castle, Brooklyn 99
Alias and the turkish series Black Money Love are my fave Action Rom Tv series of any countries Ever made! I always rewatch those two occasionally 😍
Currently I'm watching the kdrama Birth of a Beauty (Revenge + Rom), Quite addictive imo, too bad I'm too busy irl to binge it, otherwise would've watched the whole thing already ! 😍
I hope there's a nice balance of plenty of romance with ALSO plenty of action. And mainly wish for Quality script!
This is the drama I'm looking forward to most lately, mainly because I like both leads and the combo of Action+Rom genres. 😍 Add to this, the antagonist Kim Shim Rok seems very cool!
I assume she either made a huge mistake with the drunk driving or she had mental problems (maybe something bad…
Mental illness is never an excuse for a crime.
I've done many hour of volunteering in support groups for people undergoing theraphy, much of the people there who are Not prone to crime, would be hurt by your DISINFORMATION that mental illness leads to crime...
R.I.P. Died too young indeed, BUT things aren't black & white, let's not minimize Drunk Driving:
Yearly road deaths globally: Worldwide, of the estimated 1.25 million annual road deaths, 273,000 are thought to have involved at least one drunk driver.
It's disgusting how people here keep calling Drunk driving a "mistake", when it's a Serious CRIME. It's because were talking about a young woman. If it was an old man, people wouldn't excuse them.
Did she deserve to die? NO. Did she deserve to get cancelled once before for a CRIME?! YES. Perhaps knetz shouldn't have been so unforgiving to PERMANENTLY cancel her & never allow another chance after punishment which ultimately lead to her death (when they are fine with Rapists and the Double commited drunk driving Squid Game actor they're fine with him🤦🏼♀️) but to at least temporary cancel was ENTIRELY RIGHT. It's called consequences for ones actions.
Things aren't black and white. Permanent cancellation vs Some cancellation are not the same thing.
I hope her friend who found her isn't too traumatized to have found her like that and will find a way to heal. I wish same for all her friends and family.
It's unfortunate that she died so young, but what's wrong is wrong. Drunk driving is not a 'mistake,' it's a crime.…
It's disgusting indeed how the naive kiddies here keep calling Drunk driving a "mistake", when it's a Serious CRIME.

i personally enjoyed all of the episodes but it gets so nuch better after ep 11. the story begins to focus more…
Lol I'm not expecting it to switch genres lmao. I'm just expecting a good Action with some romance and sweet family bonds. Han Hyo Joo is my fav, I'm not dropping until I've wtached more eps.
The most beautiful woman there who looks natural, even me a woman finds her attractive, yet ignored by most (who prever the plastic looking women instead) WTF. Koreans have REALLY ODD taste.
Well at least Dex and Tae Hwan had taste and weren't Blind like the rest of these men. 😅😅
Korean men and women really season after season choosing the most toxic and plastic ones, while the green flags and the ones with more natural beauty get ignored.
The list of the green flags and the most ignored ones on this show are The SAME 😭
It's no wonder their birthrate is so low. I think all the plastic surgery obsession has ruined their brains. And they don't like healthy relationships. (Proabbly this is the result of Theraphy being too Taboo for them! 🤦🏼♀️)
Or haters are using AI to make thousands of accounts to downrate dramas!??
Now we can't even reach a 6 😭😭 What is this?!??
????
I have NEVER in my 10 years of watching Kdrama, seen a kdrama being rated 5. anything already During airing!!!!
Is it THAT bad?????? Or are people just haters or impatient before plot gets going???
But otherwise it's an Award-winning series for a Reason.

It means nothing for me, I generally don't like popular dramas.
So far I'm not impressed and watching is like a chore, BUT I will continue and give it chance.....
